The format of this weekly prospect report will be by level and we will go through players in order of their placing on my latest Top 150 prospect rankings (click here to view). I won’t be hitting every prospect every week (though I basically did this week), but will focus on the most relevant throughout the week and will follow up on other notable players post my Top 150 rankings. This article will not focus on any AAAA type players or veterans in the minors who have outlived their prospect status.

NOTE: Rookie status is determined by 130 ABs, or 50 IPs at the Major League level. All stats as of Sunday, June 9th.
MLB Hitters
- #102 2B Connor Norby (Orioles)
-
- Season (AAA): .286/.374/.510 | 11.3 BB% / 30.7 K%| 27 XBH, 9 HR, 7 SB
- This Week: 3/14 | 1 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Norby was promoted this week and hit a homer in his first week, playing four games of five games since being promoted.
MLB Pitchers
- #48 SP Adam Mazur (Padres):
-
-
- Season (AA): 32 1/3 IP | 22.5 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 1.95 ERA, 0.87 WHIP
- This Week (MLB): 6 IP | 2 Ks, 4 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes: Mazur made his first MLB start and despite the lack of Ks looked pretty good. The walks are uncharacteristic and probably because he was jacked with adrenaline.
-
- #66 SP Cade Povich (Orioles)
-
-
- Season (AAA): 56 2/3 IP | 23.4 K-BB%, 11.7 SwStr% | 3.18 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
- This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 2 Ks, 4 BBs | 10.13 ERA, 1.69 WHIP
- Notes: Povich had a rough first start out, but it’s a small sample size and the stuff should play better than it did in this start.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: AAA Hitters
- #7 OF Jasson Dominguez (Yankees):
-
-
- Season (AA): .316/.350/.632 | 5 BB%, 27.5 K% | 4 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB (10 games)
- This Week: 6/17 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Dominguez was promoted to AAA this week after destroying AA during his rehab.
-
- #25 1B / 2B / 3B Tyler Black (Brewers)
-
-
- Season: .284/.384/.497 | 11.6 BB% / 13.4 K%| 17 XBH, 9 HR, 10 SB
- This Week: 6/19 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Black has been great all season with another strong week, but Turang and Ortiz have cemented themselves into regular roles with the Brewers and the issue is just finding out where he will play.
-
- #70 1B Tyler Locklear (Mariners):
-
-
- Season (AA): .291/.401/.532 | 12.2 BB% / 26.1 K%| 21 XBH, 8 HR, 4 SB
- This Week (AAA): 6/20 | 3 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Locklear was promoted to AAA only a couple weeks ago, then just got the call to the majors yesterday (Saturday 6/8).
-
- #120 OF Deyvison De Los Santos (Diamondbacks)
-
-
- Season (AA): .324/.361/.574 | 5.6 BB% / 19.4 K%| 10 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
- This Week: 9/24 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: De Los Santos returned to Arizona with a vengeance after being a Guardians Rule 5 and not making the cut.
-
- 3B Matthew Lugo (Red Sox)
-
-
- Season (AA): .315/.405/.664 | 11.7 BB% / 21.1 K%| 25 XBH, 11 HR, 9 SB
- This Week (AAA): 5/15 | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: The former second rounder is going to be blocked by Devers at 3B and might have to move over to second. He’s also been playing in the OF, but was promoted to AAA this week and had a heck of a first week!
-
- OF George Valera (Guardians)
-
-
- Season: .226/.349/.415 | 15.5 BB% / 22.5 K%| 12 XBH, 4 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 6/19 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Valera has not yet panned out, but he’s still only 23-years-old and there’s time if this week is a precursor to a bit of a hot stretch.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: AAA Pitchers
- #23 SP Christian Scott (Mets)
-
-
- Season (AAA): 30 1/3 IP | 32.1 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr% | 2.97 ERA, 0.69 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
- Notes: Why is Scott back in AAA, this is silly. They aren’t going to get an entire year of extra eligibility unless they hold him down the rest of 2024.
-
- #42 SP Carson Whisenhunt (Giants)
-
-
- Season: 51 IP | 17.9 K-BB%, 14.2 SwStr% | 5.47 ERA, 1.57 WHIP
- This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 5 Ks, 3 BBs | 1.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP
- Notes: Whisenhunt has had a pretty tough time in the PCL, but I guess the good thing is it can’t get any worse as far as the pitching environment. He’s been on or off and with the Giants having more pitching injuries, there’s a chance he gets the call in the next week vs. Mason Black (or perhaps they both get the call), especially because Mason Black was hit up pretty bad on Saturday and was not reserved for a call up to fill Snell’s void.
-
- #119 SP Hurston Waldrep (Braves):
-
-
- Season (AA): 49 1/3 IP | 14.5 K-BB%, 15.4 SwStr% | 2.92 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 11 Ks, 1 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes: Waldrep was promoted to the majors after only the one killer start at AAA in a very Braves / Angels type promotion timeline.
-
- SP Carlos F. Rodriguez (Brewers)
-
-
- Season: 62 2/3 IP | 13.8 K-BB%, 11.2 SwStr% | 5.17 ERA, 1.29 WHIP
- This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.69 ERA, 0.56 WHIP
- Notes: Rodriguez won’t be a super star, but could be an effective back end starter for the Brewers. He just got the call up and his success will be on his ability to get swinging strikes outside of the zone on his breaking stuff and his control.
-
- SP Chayce McDermott (Orioles)
-
-
- Season: 58 IP | 20.5 K-BB%, 15.1 SwStr% | 3.57 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
- This Week: 11 IP (2 starts) | 15 Ks, 7 BBs | 1.64 ERA, 1.27 WHIP
- Notes: McDermott is a high stuff, bad command guy and we are seeing it this year. He has three plus pitches so we can only hope he gets the control in check to be a starter.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: AA Hitters
- #12 C Samuel Basallo (Orioles):
-
-
- Season: .289/.339/.473 | 6.8 BB% / 21 K%| 17 XBH, 10 HR, 4 SB
- This Week: 7/22 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Basallo has been destroying at AA as a 19-year-old for a good month now.
-
- #18 SS Marcelo Mayer (Red Sox):
-
-
- Season: .300/.368/.488 | 9.4 BB% / 20.1 K%| 27 XBH, 6 HR, 12 SB
- This Week: 6/17 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Mayer continues tearing up AA with the bat this week while throwing some steals in as well.
-
- #19 OF Roman Anthony (Red Sox):
-
-
- Season: .258/.378/.436 | 15.3 BB% / 26.5 K%| 20 XBH, 4 HR, 6 SB
- This Week: 6/15 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Anthony needs to work on lowering the K rate, but he’s been pretty electric so far this young season.
-
- #43 2B / SS Adael Amador (Rockies):
-
-
- Season: .194/.337/.329 | 15.8 BB% / 18.7 K%| 9 XBH, 7 HR, 22 SB
- This Week: 7/22 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: Amador raked this week so hard, he earned himself a promotion to the majors!
-
- #71 C Edgar Quero (White Sox):
-
-
- Season: .265/.355/.443 | 9.3 BB% / 18.2 K%| 15 XBH, 9 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 13/23 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Quero is off to a scorching start this season offensively and defensively catching the electric White Sox AA rotation.
-
- #83 Moises Ballesteros (Cubs):
-
-
- Season: .288/.367/.459 | 10.2 BB% / 15.8 K%| 15 XBH, 7 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 7/24 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Above average hit tool and power for a catcher, but he has a bad body ala Pablo Sandoval, which may negatively affect him down the line.
-
- #109 2B/3B James Triantos (Cubs):
-
-
- Season: .297/.325/.441 | 4.3 BB% / 11 K%| 16 XBH, 4 HR, 18 SB
- This Week: 10/18 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 5 SB
- Notes: Triantos has been a stolen base machine so far this year, which is a nice feature paired with the doubles power and hit tool.
-
- #121. C Agustin Ramirez (Yankees)
-
-
- Season: .281/.375/.578 | 12.5 BB% / 17 K%| 26 XBH, 15 HR, 12 SB
- This Week: 9/26 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Ramirez is putting up this line even with a .148 BABIP pulling him down.
-
- OF Chandler Simpson (Rays)
-
-
- Season (AA): .385/.406/.477 | 4.3 BB% / 5.8 K%| 3 XBH, 1 HR, 16 SB (47 between levels)
- This Week: 10/26 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 6 SB
- Notes: Simpson is winning the battle against Victor Scott for steals this season by a wide margin and should be up in AAA at this point.
-
- C Joe Mack (Marlins)
-
-
- Season (AA): .252/.320/.490 | 7 BB% / 25 K%| 21 XBH, 8 HR, 0 SB
- This Week: 9/17 | 6 XBH, 4 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Mack has some nice power and as a former first rounder is showing the pedigree this year as he has already moved up one level and should finish the season at AAA.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: AA Pitchers
- #39 SP Drew Thorpe (White Sox):
-
-
- Season: 60 IP | 17.4 K-BB%, 14.8 SwStr% | 1.35 ERA, 0.87 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.67 WHIP
- Notes: Thorpe should be up in the majors sooner, rather than later. My assumption on why he’s in AA, rather than AAA is because they want him throwing to Quero.
-
- #56 SP Rhett Lowder (Reds):
-
-
- Season: 21 1/3 IP | 25.5 K-BB%, 15.4 SwStr% | 8.02 ERA, 1.69 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 11 Ks, 0 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes: Lowder has been dominating for the second week in a row now.
-
- #74 SP Caden Dana (Angels):
-
-
- Season: 63 IP | 18.2 K-BB%, 12.5 SwStr% | 2.57 ERA, 0.94 WHIP
- This Week: 8 IP | 10 Ks, 0 BBs | 2.25 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
- Notes: Dana looks like old school Thor on the mound with his Viking hair, 94-95 MPH fastball and power slider.
-
- #88 SP Hayden Birdsong (Gia nts):
-
-
- Season: 48 1/3 IP | 20.6 K-BB%, 13.8 SwStr% | 2.05 ERA, 1.10 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP (2 starts) | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 2.57 ERA, 1.43 WHIP
- Notes: Pounds the top of the zone with a 96-97 MPH fastball and has a beautiful curve that generates a lot of swinging strikes. He has a great pitch mix and gets a of whiffs on his three plus pitches (fastball, slider, curve).
-
- SP Gunnar Hoglund (Athletics):
-
-
- Season: 66 IP | 13.4 K-BB%, 11.4 SwStr% | 3.41 ERA, 1.15 WHIP
- This Week: 11 IP (2 starts) | 11 Ks, 6 BBs | 1.64 ERA, 1.36 WHIP
- Notes: Hoglund is finally healthy and pitching some serious innings, I bet he’s up at some point this season.
-
- SP Adam Macko (Blue Jays)
-
-
- Season: 55 IP | 22.8 K-BB%, 12.6 SwStr% | 3.60 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes: Macko might be the next guy up behind Francis at this point until Tiedemann is ready.
-
- SP Brandon Sproat (Mets)
-
-
- Season (AA): 26 IP | 25.8 K-BB%, 17.8 SwStr% | 1.38 ERA, 0.77 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.29 WHIP
- Notes: Sproat has a killer fastball as the second rounder from last year is having a big season.
-
- SP Ky Bush (White Sox)
-
-
- Season: 57 2/3 IP | 18.3 K-BB%, 15.3 SwStr% | 2.18 ERA, 1.09 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.86 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
- Notes: Bush came over from the Angels and is having a nice rebound season after a tough time last season post-trade.
-
- SP Andrew Morris (Twins):
-
-
- Season (AA): 17 1/3 IP | 15.3 K-BB%, 8.7 SwStr% | 2.08 ERA, 0.98 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
- Notes: Morris has not been nearly as good since being promoted to AA, but is coming off his best start at the level.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: A+ Hitters
- #26 1B Xavier Isaac (Rays):
-
-
- Season: .301/.387/.568 | 11.8 BB% / 28.3 K%| 26 XBH, 11 HR, 12 SB
- This Week: 10/25 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: The K rate is still insanely high and the Rays promote slow, which has me a tad concerned about his future with the team.
-
- #98 2B / SS Brayden Taylor (Rays)
-
-
- Season: .279/.407/.542 | 17.2 BB% / 24.4 K%| 28 XBH, 8 HR, 13 SB
- This Week: 9/23 | 7 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: Taylor is pumping his second consecutive killer week and should be up in AA bynow.
-
- #114 SS Sebastian Walcott (Rangers)
-
-
- Season: .203/.322/.349 | 14.4 BB% / 27.7 K%| 14 XBH, 5 HR, 6 SB
- This Week: 6/23 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Walcott is on a bit of a roll power-wise.
-
- OF Andrew Pintar (Diamondbacks)
-
-
- Season: .294/.390/.497 | 13.5 BB% / 17.9 K%| 21 XBH, 8 HR, 16 SB
- This Week: 10/20 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Pintar continues to push his name up the board and should likely be in AA soon as a college guy.
-
- OF Charles McAdoo (Pirates)
-
-
- Season: .333/.410/.552 | 9.9 BB% / 20.8 K%| 22 XBH, 8 HR, 11 SB
- This Week: 6/18 | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: McAdoo is a bit older for the level and should likely be in AA because he’s been on fire at high A.
-
- C Leonardo Bernal (Cardinals)
-
-
- Season: .273/.350/.429 | 9.4 BB% / 21.7 K%| 14 XBH, 5 HR, 5 SB
- This Week: 9/23 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Bernal is a big dude who I had some live looks on last year and looks like he could be a future major league catcher.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: A+ Pitchers
- #69 SP Chase Dollander (Rockies):
-
-
- Season: 46 1/3 IP | 25 K-BB%, 18.1 SwStr% | 2.91 ERA, 1.19 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.86 WHIP
- Notes: Why is Dollander still at high A? He should be up with Lowder in AA right now.
-
- #81 SP Sean Sullivan (Rockies):
-
-
- Season: 55 1/3 IP | 27.4 K-BB%, 15.9 SwStr% | 2.60 ERA, 0.92 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 1 BBs| 4.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
- Notes: Sullivan is right here with Dollander, why is he still in high A?
-
- #88 SP Quinn Mathews (Cardinals):
-
-
- Season (A+): 25 IP | 28.1 K-BB%, 16.9 SwStr% | 3.24 ERA, 0.72 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 4.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
- Notes: Another dominant start or Mathews, who is also at too low of a level for his skill.
-
- #113 SP Winston Santos (Rangers):
-
-
- Season: 52 1/3 IP | 24.1 K-BB%, 14.3 SwStr% | 2.24 ERA, 1.11 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 8 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
- Notes: Santos is another dude for his age and skill, who should be in AA at this point.
-
- SP Thomas White (Marlins):
-
-
- Season: 24 2/3 IP | 19.8 K-BB%, 12.7 SwStr% | 4.01 ERA, 1.70 WHIP
- This Week: 4 1/3 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 4.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP
- Notes: Matthews is known as a college guy who pitched a ton of innings and should probably have started in high A, but the Cardinals have been passive about promotions (annoyingly).
-
- SP Matt Wilkinson (Guardians):
-
-
- Season (A+): 15 IP | 35 K-BB%, 17.6 SwStr% | 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 9 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
- Notes: Tug Boat Wilkinson keeps on rolling.
-
- SP Samuel Aldegheri (Phillies):
-
-
- Season: 48 IP | 23.7 K-BB%, 15.6 SwStr% | 3.00 ERA, 0.96 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 7.20 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
- Notes: Aldegheri is old for the level as well and has some bad command issues, despite demonstrating strong stuff even with a lackluster fastball.
-
- SP Trevor Martin (Tigers):
-
-
- Season: 59 IP | 26.4 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 3.05 ERA, 1.12 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP | 14 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.29 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
- Notes: Martin has been a beast all year and is a little old for the level at 23-years-old, but one more check in the win column this year for Tigers pitching development.
-
- SP Parker Messick (Guardians):
-
-
- Season: 57 1/3 IP | 21.6 K-BB%, 15.4 SwStr% | 3.30 ERA, 1.19 WHIP
- This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 11 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
- Notes: 2022 2nd rounder is old for the level, need to see him up at AA.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: A Hitters
- #28 Lazaro Montes (Mariners)
-
-
- Season: .332/.431/.553 | 14.6 BB% / 17 K%| 23 XBH, 11 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 7/20 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Montes is too good for this level, but I guess they want to get the confidence up before promoting him to high A. He had a pretty rough week.
-
- #145 SS Cooper Pratt (Brewers):
-
-
- Season: .293/.401/.401 | 14 BB% / 21.3 K%| 10 XBH, 2 HR, 12 SB
- This Week: 10/21 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Pratt has shown a Tyler Black-ish skill-set with a bigger, more athletic frame at SS.
-
- SS Michael Arroyo (Mariners)
-
-
- Season: .270/.388/.475 | 12.4 BB% / 20.4 K%| 21 XBH, 8 HR, 7 SB (5 3B)
- This Week: 9/24 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Mariners prospects, especially on this A ball team have just been ridiculous. Arroyo has been playing SS, rather than 2B with Emerson out and here they trade Edwyn Arroyo, but they have Michael Arroyo on deck to fill right in.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: A Pitchers
- #150 SP Santiago Suarez (Rays):
-
-
- Season: 50 IP | 25.4 K-BB%, 14.9 SwStr% | 4.86 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 5 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP
- Notes: Suarez looks insane statistically and I’m putting him on my video list for my next Top 150.
-
- SP Alejandro Rosario (Rangers):
-
-
- Season: 36 1/3 IP | 35.4 K-BB%, 16.5 SwStr% | 1.73 ERA, 0.91 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
- Notes: Rosario continues with another stellar outing and should be in high A soon.
-
- SP Grant Taylor (White Sox):
-
-
- Season: 16 IP | 41.4 K-BB%, 14.6 SwStr% | 1.13 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
- This Week: 4 IP | 6 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
- Notes: Taylor was a second rounder in 2023 and should be up in high A, he’s been too good for the low A level.
-
Fantasy Baseball Prospects: CPX Hitters
- #9 SS Jordan Lawlar (Diamondbacks):
-
-
- Season: N/A
- This Week (CPX): 7/20 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 5 SB
- Notes: Lawlar started his rehab assignment this week with a bang.
-
- #122 SS Brailer Guerrero (Rays)
-
-
- Season: .368/.484/.553 | 17.2 BB%, 22.6 K% | 8 XBH, 2 HR, 11 SB
- This Week: 4/13 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: Guerrero had a nice week despite only playing a few games.
-
- SS Angel Cepeda (Cubs)
-
-
- Season: .333/.363/.529 | 15.4 BB%, 23.9 K% | 10 XBH, 2 HR, 7 SB
- This Week: 9/18 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: Cepeda is a big athletic shortstop who has really broken out this year at complex.
-
- OF Eduardo Quintero (Dodgers)
-
-
- Season: .349/.472/.523 | 16 BB%, 18.9 K% | 7 XBH, 3 HR, 9 SB
- This Week: 8/19 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 5 SB
- Notes: Quintero has been stellar and only adds to the ridiculous depth of the Dodgers system.
-
- OF Yoelin Cespedes (Red Sox)
-
-
- Season: .315/.393/.616 | 10.7 BB%, 15.5 K% | 13 XBH, 4 HR, 3 SB
- This Week: 7/16 | 4 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: Cespedes has been one of the big names in complex and had a big week to live up to the big name.
-
- SS Starlyn Caba (Phillies)
-
-
- Season: .272/.443/.383 | 23.6 BB%, 13.2 K% | 6 XBH, 1 HR, 19 SB
- This Week: 4/15 | 1 XBH, 0 HR, 8 SB
- Notes: The speed and skills on the basepaths has been insane and was not quite expected. The defense and speed alone project him out to be a Bryce Turang type at a minimum.
