Dynasty Trade Advice: Tyjae Spears, Drake London, DeVonta Smith, Cooper Kupp

It’s the time of year when dynasty managers are looking for a spark on their rosters. Given their current costs combined with their expected production, these are players I’m looking to trade for. It’s tough to predict the future, but if you trade for someone at what you think is their worst-case scenario value, then you aren’t risking much. Let’s get into it. Here are players to trade for and buy now in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Dynasty Trade Advice: Players to Buy

Tyjae Spears (RB – TEN)

In 2023, Tyjae Spears recorded 100 carries and 70 targets on a lackluster Titans offense. Heading into 2024 the team is looking to split carries between Spears and newcomer Tony Pollard. This might concern Spears managers expecting him to be next in line after Derrick Henry left. I’m fine exploiting this price dip and buying an RB2 for RB3 or Flex prices. I fully expect Spears and Pollard to finish in the top 30 at the position, making Spears worth adding where you can.

Drake London (WR – ATL)

One of the more obvious targets is Drake London due to the coaching and quarterback changes in Atlanta. London has the talent, but he hasn’t had the best opportunity. The current London manager might not be willing to let go just yet. I get that. But it’s worth sending an offer on the off chance you catch them sleeping on those changes. Maybe they want a king’s ransom, which isn’t worth doing, but maybe they don’t. I’d at least poke the manager about his price just in case.

DeVonta Smith (WR – PHI)

I’ve talked about how Eagles QB Jalen Hurts could be in for a down year, so why am I buying DeVonta Smith? Well, that all comes down to his price. Smith is being ranked outside the top 20 receivers in dynasty. I think that’s somewhat egregious given what we’ve seen. Some managers are trying to move off of him due to the potential changes to the Philadelphia offense. This means his price might be perfect to acquire for someone younger with more perceived upside.

Cooper Kupp (WR – LAR)

Cooper Kupp is a veteran I’m trying to add in almost all formats. While everyone is talking about teammate Puka Nacua, Kupp is in line for some solid WR2 work of his own. QB Matt Stafford isn’t dead yet, and I think they lean on the passing game this year. He finished as WR24 in points per game last year, so he’s still got plenty of talent left in the tank. The odds are good that the current Kupp manager is ready to move on. Maybe you can add him for cheap and get one or two useable years out of him.
