It’s the time of year when dynasty managers are looking for a spark on their rosters. Given their current costs combined with their expected production, these are players I’m looking to trade for. It’s tough to predict the future, but if you trade for someone at what you think is their worst-case scenario value, then you aren’t risking much. Let’s get into it. Here are players to trade for and buy now in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Dynasty Trade Advice: Players to Buy
Joe Burrow (QB – CIN)
Joe Burrow managers have a bad taste in their mouth after last year. He only played in 10 games and finished as the QB25 (overall and points per game). While there is a thought Burrow is injury-prone, he’s been relatively steady overall. That’s why he’s someone I’m targeting in trades. He’s being valued as the QB6 or so. I think that’s his floor. He has QB1 overall upside as long as WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins stay healthy. Now is the time to strike before that bad taste goes away.
Christian McCaffrey (RB – SF)
I rarely advocate buying high on a player but that’s the only option with Christian McCaffrey. He just signed a two-year deal with the 49ers and should be in for another year of high volume. His RB1 finish last year wasn’t shocking, but the fact he outscored RB2 Breece Hall by 100 PPR points is astounding. McCaffrey was second in rushing touchdowns and first in receiving touchdowns last year. That’s nuts. I’m fine to pay whatever it takes to get this man on my roster and ride him to a title in 2024.
Joe Mixon (RB – HOU)
I’ve talked about Joe Mixon being a target of mine before, and that hasn’t changed. His RB6 overall finish in 2023 went largely under the radar. Ask anyone where they think he finished and I bet they say 10th or worse. Now that he switched teams Mixon managers may be starting to worry. I’m going the other way. The Bengals and the Texans are high-powered offenses, and Mixon should be fine. Due to his age, his price should be more reasonable as well, making him a clear option for contenders.
