As Lewis noted, it is just one day of practice but it somewhat noteworthy as Darnold competes with JJ McCarthy for the Week 1 starting role. Darnold was expected to open camp as the starter for Minnesota.

Jaylen Waddle signs three-year, $84.75 million deal with Miami
Jaylen Waddle has signed a three-year, $84.75 million contract with $76 million in guarantees with the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
This ties the young receiver to the explosive Miami offense for the long run. With Tyreek Hill contemplating retirement in the next several years, the Dolphins needed to secure their future and did so with this deal. Waddle is a hyper productive reciever when on the field, but struggled with injuries in 2023 and had his fewest targets and receptions since entering the league in 2021. He’s a high end WR2 with upside behind Hill in Miami’s offense and is a great redraft and dynasty asset for both contending and rebuilding teams.
