Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Dylan Cease (SD) vs. COL
Dylan Cease is entering tonight on a heater. According to FanGraphs, in his previous five starts spanning 32.2 innings, he has a 2.20 ERA, 2.83 SIERA, 0.70 WHIP, 8.4 BB%, 33.6 K%, 31.8 CSW%, 118 Stuff+, 99 Location+ and 105 Pitching+.
The righty has a cushy matchup and mouthwatering betting info. This year, the Rockies are 28th in wRC+ (79) with a 27.1 K% against righties and 28th in wRC+ (78) with a 27.2 K% on the road. The Padres are -275, and the game's total is 7.5 runs. Cease will be justifiably chalky tonight and is the most attractive pitcher on the slate.
Chris Sale (ATL) vs. CHC
Chris Sale is a high-upside GPP pivot from Cease. In the lefty's previous five starts totaling 32.0 innings, he has a 2.81 ERA, 2.62 SIERA, 0.97 WHIP, 4.7 BB%, 30.5 K%, 35.5 CSW%, 110 Stuff+, 103 Location+ and 102 Pitching+.
The Cubs can be a challenging matchup. Nevertheless, the betting info is encouraging. The Braves are -190, and the game's total is an unimposing 8.0 runs.
Carlos Rodon (NYY) at MIN
Carlos Rodon isn't perfect. Nonetheless, he has some intriguing numbers relative to his salary, making him the most appealing SP2 at DK. In his last five starts spanning 27.1 innings, Rodon has a 3.95 ERA, 3.50 SIERA, 1.10 WHIP, 6.0 BB%, 25.6 K%, 28.3 CSW%, 117 Stuff+, 98 Location+ and 100 Pitching+.
The Twins are a tricky matchup. Still, the betting info is decent. The Yankees are -140, and the game's total is 8.0 runs.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
- Road (Fenway Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.5 Runs/TB +105
The Rays get a lift playing at Fenway Park tonight. Conversely, Nick Pivetta has struggled in his home ballpark. In 69.1 innings at home last year, Pivetta had a 4.51 ERA and allowed 1.43 HR/9. Additionally, a handful of Tampa Bay's hitters have teed off on Pivetta.
- Home (American Family Field)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.5 Runs/MIL -160
Quinn Priester is a cupcake for the Brewers to feast on tonight. In 14 appearances (12 starts) spanning 71.0 innings since debuting in the majors last year, Priester has had a 6.59 ERA, 5.09 SIERA, 1.62 WHIP, 4.0 K-BB% and allowed 2.28 HR/9. He's yielded a .428 wOBA to lefties and a .330 wOBA to righties. Priester's struggles will fuel Milwaukee's upside tonight.

Nick Pivetta: 26.5 Fantasy Points - Lower
Nick Pivetta: 26.0 Fantasy Points - Less
Pivetta isn't an imposing pitcher on the bump in his home stadium. In 2023, he had a 4.54 ERA in 69.1 innings at home. The season before, Pivetta had a 4.80 ERA in 90.0 innings at home. The veteran righty also has a tricky matchup. The Rays are 12th in wRC+ (100) against righties this season. Finally, in the previous 14 days, the Rays were tied for fourth in wRC+ (119).
