Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Luis Castillo (SEA) at MIN
Luis Castillo is on fire entering tonight's start. According to FanGraphs, in his previous four starts spanning 26.0 innings, he's had a 1.38 ERA, 2.66 SIERA, 0.77 WHIP, 4.2 BB%, 32.3 K%, 30.9 CSW%, 103 Stuff+, 109 Location+ and 109 Pitching+.
Castillo's matchup tonight is a mixed bag. This season, the Twins are tied for 10th in wRC+ (102) and have a 24.6 K% against righties, and they're tied for 10th in wRC+ (109) with a 26.9 K% at home. Minnesota's high strikeout rates are ideal for Castillo's DFS potential, even if they aren't a pushover. The betting info is decent, too. The Mariners are -135, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.
Cole Ragans (KC) vs. MIL
In seven starts spanning 36.2 innings this year, Cole Ragans has a 3.44 ERA, 3.39 xERA, 3.23 SIERA, 1.36 WHIP, 8.2 BB%, 28.9 K%, 29.2 CSW%, 113 Stuff+, 100 Location+ and 104 Pitching+. He's validated his breakout with the Royals last season.
Ragans has a tasty matchup tonight. The Brewers are 23rd in wRC+ (85) and have a 25.5 K% against lefties this season. In addition, the Royals are -145, and the game's total is 8.0 runs.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Roddery Munoz has pitched well in two starts for the Marlins. However, in his previous 58.1 innings in Triple-A, he had a 7.10 ERA, 6.76 FIP, 1.71 WHIP, 16.1 BB%, 20.4 K% and 1.85 HR/9. The Dodgers can make him look like the pitcher who struggled in Triple-A. All of LA's projected starters have had at least a 106 wRC+ against righties since 2021 or debuting in the majors. Moreover, seven of their projected starters have had at least a 123 wRC+, and four have had at least a 146 wRC+.

Check out our best picks on the MLB Underdog Cheat Sheet
Shohei Ohtani: 10.5 Fantasy Points - Higher (Underdog Fantasy)
Shohei Ohtani: 9.0 Fantasy Points - More (PrizePicks)
Ohtani is a carryover from the core studs. In addition to raking this year, he has a track record of smashing righties. Since 2021, Ohtani has had a .401 OBP, .326 ISO and 172 wRC+ against right-handed pitching.
Freddie Freeman: 8.5 Fantasy Points - Higher (Underdog Fantasy)
Freddie Freeman: 8.0 Fantasy Points - More (PrizePicks)
Freeman's success against righties was highlighted above. Additionally, he has a .411 OBP and 145 wRC+ in 163 plate appearances this season. Ohtani's and Freeman's overs correlate, too.
Simeon Woods Richardson has outperformed his ERA estimators. In three starts spanning 14.2 innings this year, he has a 2.45 ERA, 4.83 xERA, 4.09 SIERA, 1.36 WHIP, 6.3 BB%, 20.6 K% and 22.7 CSW%. Despite soft matchups against the White Sox twice and the Tigers once, the rookie righty's 7.1 SwStr% is much lower than the league average (10.9%). Richardson also had a season-low two strikeouts in his most recent start. Thus, he's on the PrizePicks Cheat Sheet and the Underdog Cheat Sheet, projecting to strike out 3.9 batters tonight.
