Saturday slates are always some of my favorite of the week because we typically have every team in action. That’s what we have here, with games spread throughout the day. There are six games at night, five at 4ET, and four in the morning. That’s perfect from a DFS standpoint, so let’s go ahead and dive into it! Here are our top MLB DFS picks and player prop bets for Saturday’s slate of baseball games.

Saturday’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Saturday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Reynaldo Lopez (ATL) at PIT
It’s hard to believe, but Atlanta has turned Lopez into an ace. The former reliever has scored at least 28 FanDuel points in all eight starts, generating a 1.54 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. Only a few pitchers have a floor that big, and it should continue against Pittsburgh. The Pirates rank 23rd in runs scored, 24th in OBP, 25th in K rate, and 27th in wOBA
Tanner Bibee (CLE) at LAA
Bibee was terrible through his first three starts, but he’s starting to get going. The Guardiand righty has allowed just one run in his last two starts, generating a 3.23 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 9.5 K.9 rate over his last seven starts. That’s what we saw last season, with Bibee posting a 2.98 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He shouldn’t have any issues doing that against an LA team missing Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani.
Luis Severino (NYM) vs. SF
There’s a theme with the pitchers today, and it’s bounceback season! That’s what we’re seeing from Severino, sporting a 3.48 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. That’s the stud we saw with the Yanks, amassing a 3.10 ERA and 1.06 WHIP between 2017 and 2022. We really like that he gets to pitch in Citi Field, compiling a 2.17 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in that spacious ballpark this season. We’re not scared of Severino squaring off with a 21st-ranked San Fran offense, either!
Jose Berrios (TOR) at DET
Berrios was blasted to the tune of eight runs in a road start against the Phils two weeks ago, but that’s his only blip on an otherwise clean radar. The righty has allowed two runs or fewer in eight of his other nine starts, tallying a 1.91 ERA and 1.01 WHIP if you take out the eight-run dud. We’re willing to do that since he faces Detroit’s disastrous offense here, with the Tigers ranked 22nd in OBP, 25th in wOBA, and 23rd in K rate.
MLB DFS Picks: Suggested Lineup Stacks
Philadelphia Phillies (vs. Dakota Hudson)
The Phillies hitting in Coors Field sounds unfair. Philadelphia has one of the best lineups in baseball, ranked first in OBP and runs scored. That would make them a sexy stack against anyone, but they’re projected to score six runs in this spot. That’s no surprise since Hudson has a 5.89 ERA and 1.67 WHIP.
The A’s rank fifth in home runs, with most of that damage happening over the last month. That’s made them a sneaky stack, given how cheap many of these guys are, and they could pick up a couple of bombs against Arighetti. The Astros righty has yet to throw a quality start this season, amassing a 7.16 ERA and 1.81 WHIP.
MLB DFS Picks: Core Studs
- Bryce is one of the best hitters in baseball, and we have to use him against a weak righty in Coors. The MVP candidate has a .441 OBP and 1.068 OPS across his last 30 games while posting some of the best splits against right-handed pitching. Harper also has some unbelievable BvP numbers against Hudson, totaling a .923 OBP and 2.548 OPS in 13 at-bats against him. Haha, those numbers don’t even sound real!
- This shortstop was slow to get going, but Seager is finally swinging a hot bat right now. The All-Star has homered in three straight games, posting a .444 OBP and 1.131 OPS across his last 14 outings. That’s bad news for Chris Paddack, providing a 4.47 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. Seager has also pummelled Paddack, providing a 1.300 OPS in 10 at-bats against him.
- Don’t look now, but Devers is getting hot. He sat a week with a shoulder issue a month ago but has a .404 OBP and 1.034 OPS since then. That’s 26 games of MVP-caliber play, and we don’t want to fade him against Colin Rea‘s 4.64 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. We also love that Devers has a 1.065 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this season!
- Rooker has been the A’s best hitter, registering a .365 OBP and .952 OPS. Most of that has come recently, with Rooker providing a 1.034 OPS across his last 35 outings. He’s also rocked right-handers, generating a 1.014 OPS against them this year. If we want to stack against Arrighetti, Rooker needs to be the first guy in our stack.
MLB DFS Picks: Value Plays/Punts
- Schwarber is expensive, but he’s the ultimate GPP player with boom-or-bust ability. The slugger hasn’t showcased his elite power yet, but we’re encouraged by his .398 OBP across his last 23 outings. He’s also flirting with a .350 OBP and .850 OPS against righties since joining the Phils, and he should get plenty of chances at the leadoff spot for the highest-projected lineup on this slate!
- AB has struggled this season, but he’s starting to get going. The third baseman has a .881 OPS across his last 10 games. That’s stellar when peeking at his splits, sporting a .372 OBP and .865 OPS against lefties throughout his career. Bregman splits have played out against Sears, accruing a 1.591 OPS in 12 at-bats against him.
- We wanted some exposure against Aaron Civale, and Garcia looks like the best option for the KC bats. Let’s start with Civale, compiling a 5.92 ERA and 1.37 WHIP in what’s been a nightmare season. That’s terrifying with how Garcia is rolling, accumulating a 1.179 OPS across his last seven games! He’s the leadoff hitter for the Royals and has one of the best power-speed combos in the AL right now.
- If we stack Oakland, we want to use their leadoff hitter. That’s Toro, who leads the AL in hits this month. That’s led to Toro’s .380 OBP and .885 OPS across his last 25 games. That makes the price tag tough to justify, especially against one of the worst pitchers in the league.
Saturday’s Top 3 Underdog Fantasy and PrizePicks Player Props
This means that Severino needs to get past the sixth inning. He’s actually thrown at least five innings in every start this season, surpassing this total in four of his last six starts.
Bryce Harper: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher (X0.85)
This man has gotten on base in 12 of his 13 plate appearances against Hudson and was ejected on Friday. You better believe he’ll be hungry here, and we genuinely believe he’ll clear this prop by the fourth inning.
Brent Rooker: 0.5 Total Bases – Higher (X0.85)
We recommended Rooker against Arrighetti, and it was shocking to see this number at 0.5 bases. We just need one hit from the A’s best hitter, which feels like a strong possibility when looking at the numbers from both sides of the ball.
