Drake Maye works behind Jacoby Brissett, Bailey Zappe Monday
Drake Maye took reps behind Jacoby Brissett and Bailey Zappe at Patriots OTAs on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

It is still very early, but at least worth monitoring for the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft last month. Maye reportedly still looked good with the reps he saw and has plenty of time to work his way up the depth chart for New England.

Justin Jefferson not present for OTAs
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is not present for the start of OTAs.

Fantasy Impact

Jefferson will likely not show up for voluntary workouts as he continues to negotiate a new contract with the Vikings. Mandatory minicamp begins in early-June, so he could choose to appear then to avoid any fines for an absence.

Antonio Gibson shows off speed at OTAs Monday
The speed of Antonio Gibson was “evident” at practice on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Gibson signed a three-year deal this offseason with New England. He figures to solidify a role in the Patriots offense, potentially more as a receiver out of the backfield.

Bryce Young doing ‘fantastic’ in new offense
Panthers coach Dave Canales said Bryce Young is “doing fantastic” in the team’s new offense.

Fantasy Impact

“He’s doing fantastic with it,” Canales said Monday after the first full day of voluntary workouts. “So, for us the formations are pretty vanilla so we can just teach the concept we want out of each route, the depth, the footwork we want.” It was a struggle for Young for most of his rookie season last year, though he played better late in the season. He’ll likely remain off the fantasy radar in 1-QB leagues, but could be a quarterback to target late in 2-QB and superflex leagues.
