Tuesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: CJ McCollum, LeBron James, Domantas Sabonis (4/16)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/16)

LeBron James (G/F – LAL): 16.5 rebounds + assists

LeBron went bonkers against the Pelicans on Sunday with 28 rebounds plus assists and is expected to be completely dialed in as the Lakers attempt to secure the seventh seed. There is a school of thought that the Lakers should tank this game so they can set up a first round date with the Oklahoma City Thunder instead of the Denver Nuggets. However, pride is expected to take over, so the Lakers admitting they are actively trying to avoid Denver is likely not in the cards for a LeBron James led team. LeBron has mustered at least 17 rebounds plus assists in three of his last four games and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight. Light up the More on LeBron for Tuesday night.

Pick: More

CJ McCollum (G – NOP): 23.5 points

CJ has been heating up for the New Orleans Pelicans, ending the season on a strong note with 25 points against these same Los Angeles Lakers. CJ has scored 24 or more points in each of his last seven games. The Pelicans are going to need to rely on their veteran guard if they are to have any chance at toppling the Lakers are setting up a date with Denver, especially with Brandon Ingram still working his way back to full strength. Expect another high volume night, so only a frigid night from the field should be able to prevent him from hitting at least 24 against Los Angeles. Clap the More on CJ for Tuesday night basketball.

Pick: More

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles

The NBA’s double double and triple double king is a virtual lock for 10 and 10 every time he hits the court. Sabonis showed remarkable consistency on the boards and led the NBA in rebounding with 13.7 per game. Sabonis had 75 double doubles in 80 games played this season, making this a no-brainer play whenever you can catch it before expiration. Run, don’t walk, and lock this one in. Slap the More on Sabonis for Tuesday night.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
