DraftKings Pick6 4/25/24
Season Record: 11-4
LeBron James (G/F – LAL): 8.5 assists
LeBron is going to need to once again lean on himself as both a playmaker and scorer for the Lakers to have any chance of sustained success in Game 3. The Nuggets are clearly the superior team, but LeBron remains a force that needs to be the catalyst for the Lakers. Anthony Davis will need to get his, too, but LeBron seeing the court and making the right read, and their teammates connecting on respectable percentage of their shots is the only way for Los Angeles to avoid falling in an 0-3 hole. LeBron has recorded nine or more assists in three of his last four games and eight or more in each. Look for LeBron to push for a double double tonight as he seeks to get his teammates going for the all-important Game 3 at the Crypto Arena. Light up the More on LeBron for Thursday night’s action.
Pick: More
Aaron Gordon (F – DEN): 0.5 three pointers made
With the offerings still sparse at the time of writing, AG three pointers made is actually one of the standout plays on the board. Yes, 0.5 three pointer plays are silly because it only takes one for a Less play to bust, and, of course, is only ever attached to players who struggle to connect from deep in the first place. Case in point: Aaron Gordon. Gordon does have the range to be a threat from three point land but failed to connect on any of his five attempts from deep in this series. He has failed to drain a three in eight of his last nine games. Hit the Less on Gordon for Game 3.
Pick: More
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): 27.5 points
Two game slates mean limited options to choose from at DraftKings Pick6. Jokic has played the Lakers five times between the regular season and the playoffs, scoring 29, 24, 35, 32, and 27 points. The Nuggets are going to get the Lakers’ best punch tonight, so Jokic will remain heavily involved as both a scorer and playmaker, as usual. The Joker will score 24 or more points tonight, so his aggressiveness from the field will be critical to him hitting at least 28. The Nuggets know that this is a must-win for the Lakers to have any chance at making this a series, so expect the big man to look to step on the Lakers throats in the post, tiring out Anthony Davis in the process. Jab the More on Jokic for Thursday night.
