Injury Report
Core Plays
CJ McCollum (PG/SG – NOP): $7,500 DraftKings, $7,900 FanDuel
McCollum had a chance to win Game 1 for the Pels at the buzzer, but he missed that game-winning three. The fact that he took that shot shows that he’s the guy with Zion sidelined, scoring at least 36 DraftKings points in 14 of his last 16 games. McCollum also has a 41-point average in that span and should be locked into 40 minutes and 20 shots as long as Williamson is out.
Tyler Herro (PG/SG – MIA): $8,000 DraftKings, $7,700 FanDuel
Here we are with another guard stepping into a massive role. Herro is the only guard left in Miami with Butler and Rozier sidelined, locking him into 40-45 minutes and 20-25 shots. This guy can average 40 DraftKings points per game in that expanded role, scoring at least 36 fantasy points in five of his last seven outings. The matchup with the Celtics is concerning, but it doesn’t matter since Herro is being asked to do so much.
Cash Game Considerations
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG/SG – OKC): $9,400 DraftKings, $10,600 FanDuel
SGA will finish near the top of MVP voting, averaging 53 DraftKings points per game during the regular season. He also scored at least 40 fantasy points in all but a handful of games and should be hungry as OKC’s primary playmaker in their first big series. We love that when looking at his form against New Orleans, scoring at least 40 DK points in all four matchups this season.
Jayson Tatum (SF/PF – BOS): $9,500 DraftKings, $9,800 FanDuel
Tatum recorded his first postseason triple-double in Game 1 and looks motivated to get this Boston team over the hump. This All-Star averaged over 50 DraftKings points per game in last year’s postseason and should continue to run the show for the Celtics. He’s also one of the few players who hasn’t struggled against Miami’s menacing defense, scoring 58 fantasy points in their last two matchups.
GPP Targets
Jonas Valanciunas (C – NOP): $5,700 DraftKings, $6,900 FanDuel
This guy was unusable in the final month of the regular season, but he’s being utilized heavily right now. It’s hard to understand what happened, but losing Zion has locked him into 30 minutes. That’s led to JV scoring 43 and 33 DK points in his two most recent outings, playing 27 and 29 minutes in both of those. All this guy needs is 25 minutes to be an immense value in this price range because he’s one of the best per-minute producers in the NBA.
Delon Wright (PG/SG – MIA): $3,800 DraftKings, $4,700 FanDuel
We had Wright in here over the weekend, and we’re going back to him for all the same reasons. Miami needs this guard to play 25 minutes with JB and Rozier out, which is fantastic with how this guy stuffs the stat sheet. He’s averaging over 30 fantasy points per game when he plays over 25 minutes throughout his career, dropping 29 DK points across 26 minutes in Game 1.
Value Plays
Trey Murphy (SF/PF – NOP): $6,700 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel
This guy has developed into one of the best shooters in the NBA. A few bench games limited his production in the final week, but this guy was unstoppable as a starter. Murph has scored at least 29 DraftKings points in 17 of his last 20 starts, posting a 36-point average in that expanded role. The Pels need him to fire up 20 shots and play 35-40 minutes with Zion out, and that’s what we saw in Game 1 when he had 40 fantasy points across 44 minutes.
Jaime Jaquez (SF/PF – MIA): $5,800 DraftKings, $6,100 FanDuel
Jaime has been one of the biggest surprises from this rookie class, stepping into a prominent role when Butler has been sidelined. That always forced Jaquez into the starting lineup, scoring at least 26 DraftKings points in five straight games. He also has a 35-point average in that span and needs a price bump as long as JB remains sidelined.
