This week has been full of massive slates, but we have a small one here. This Thursday card has just five games, but we love this type of slate. The two best players in fantasy are taking the court, but some of the hottest players are lacing it up. Like most of these slates, the injury report is rampant, and we’re hopeful there are not too many significant changes before lock!

Injury Report
Core Plays
Dejounte Murray (PG/SG – ATL): $9,800 DraftKings, $10,200 FanDuel
Murray has been one of the best players in DFS over the last month, taking over this ATL offense in Trae Young‘s absence. That’s led to Murray scoring at least 49 DraftKings points in eight of his last 10 games, flirting with a 55-point average in that span. That should be easy to duplicate against Dallas, with the Mavs posting a 22nd OPRK against opposing guards.
Jalen Brunson (PG – NYK): $9,100 DraftKings, $9,400 FanDuel
JB has changed things for this Knicks franchise, averaging 45 DraftKings points per game. The bump in production has happened because of Julius Randle‘s injury, averaging nearly 50 fantasy points per game since then. Our favorite part about this is a matchup with Sacramento, sitting 22nd in total defense this year. Last time they played, JB had 60 DraftKings points!
Jalen Green (PG/SG – HOU): $8,800 DraftKings, $9,000 FanDuel
The Rockets are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, with Green carrying them into playoff contention. The former number-two pick has at least 40 DraftKings points in nine of his last 10 games, generating a 49-point average in that span. That’s the progression we’ve been waiting to see, and it should keep building here versus a 19th-ranked Warriors defense.
Cash Game Considerations
Luka Doncic (PG – DAL): $12,500 DraftKings, $12,500 FanDuel
Luka is the best player in fantasy. The Slovenian leads the NBA with 66 DraftKings points per game but has averaged north of 70 fantasy points over the last two months. He’s also got one of the highest floors, rarely scoring below 50 DK points. We don’t want to fade him against anyone, but he should annihilate Atlanta. The Hawks rank 27th in points allowed and defensive efficiency.
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $11,900 DraftKings, $NA FanDuel
We just talked about how Luka has a 50-point floor, but Jokic is right there with him. These two are above everyone else in the game right now, with Joker averaging over 60 DraftKings points per game. He’s been even better when Jamal Murray has been out, averaging nearly 70 DK points per game without the point guard. He’s also clobbered the Clippers throughout his career, averaging 72 DK points per game against their last three matchups.
GPP Targets
Bogdan Bogdanovic (SG/SF – ATL): $7,000 DraftKings, $7,600 FanDuel
Bogey has also benefited from Young’s absence, stepping into the starting lineup since then. More importantly, his usage has skyrocketed, scoring at least 34 DraftKings points in nine of his last 13 games. Bogey also has a 41-point average across his last five fixtures and should have success here since Dallas surrenders the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards.
Jabari Smith Jr. (PF/C – HOU): $6,300 DraftKings, $7,100 FanDuel
We weren’t sure who would fill the center void in the absence of Alperen Sengun, but Smith has done it beautifully. The big man has scored at least 29 DraftKings points in nine of the last 12 games he’s finished, averaging 32 DK points per game in that span. That’s what you’re looking for from a blossoming youngster, especially since Golden State posts a 26th OPRK against opposing big men.
Isaiah Hartenstein (PF/C – NYK): $5,400 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel
Hartenstein is risky with Mitchell Robinson returning, but he has too much upside to be $5,400 on DK. The big man has at least 34 DK points in six of his last nine outings, cracking 39 fantasy points in five of those! We saw this guy average 40 DraftKings points per game when he initially stole the starting center gig, and we’re willing to take that risk since Sacramento has one of the worst defenses in the NBA.
Value Plays
Josh Hart (SF/PF – NYK): $7,300 DraftKings, $7,500 FanDuel
Let’s finish our Knicks stack with Hart. This guy has been playing over 40 minutes a night over the last month, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points in 17 of his last 20 games. Hart also has a 38-point average in this expanded role, playing 42 minutes a night. Anybody who might play 45 minutes should be in everyone’s cash game lineup, particularly in such a fantasy-friendly matchup.
Clint Capela (C – ATL): $6,500 DraftKings, $7,700 FanDuel
Capela has been a double-double machine throughout his career, and he’s being asked to do even more with Onyeka Okongwu out. That’s left him as the primary center, scoring at least 29 DraftKings points in 13 straight games while surpassing 36 DK points in 10 of those. That’s all you can ask for from such an affordable player, particularly since he faces a 23rd-ranked Dallas defense.
Daniel Gafford (C – DAL): $5,700 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel
Gafford has always been elite when given a full allotment of minutes, and he should be guaranteed 25-30 now that Dereck Lively is sidelined. If you look at the 27 games that DG has played at least 27 minutes, he’s averaging 38 DraftKings points per game. He’s also got a 35-point average across his last 14 fixtures and should never be this cheap with this sort of opportunity. Not to mention, Atlanta allows the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing centers.
