Friday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, Jaime Jaquez (4/19)

Friday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, Jaime Jaquez (4/19)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (4/19)

Jaime Jaquez (G/F – MIA): 13.5 points

Jaime will need to step up for the Heat tonight, and if his last few games are any indication, he’s regaining his confidence at the right time. Jaime has scored 15 or more points in three straight games and should have an expanded role tonight with Jimmy Butler sidelined. Jaime struggled in his first game against Chicago, scoring just six points, but immediately corrected, dropping 19 the next contest in a back-to-back against the Bulls. He dropped 22 and 18 in the other back-to-back. Jab the More on Jaime for Friday night’s Play-In action.

Pick: More

Coby White (G – CHI): 14.5 points (alt line)

The full total of 20.5 is appealing after Coby’s 42 point explosion against Atlanta, but White is a streaky shooter who does not always get to the line at the clip he did against the Hawks. 15 should be almost automatic, so we can stomach the low multiplier attached to this alt line. Coby scored 14, 20, 26, and 22 points against Miami in the four games he played against them during the regular season. Clap the More on Coby for Friday night.

Pick: More

DeMar DeRozan (G/F – CHI): 19.5 points (alt line)

DeMar scored ‘just’ 22 points against Atlanta but that was largely correlated to Coby White having his coming out party and exploding for 42 points on 21 shots. Coby will have another high-volume night, but DeMar will also get his roughly 20 shots in, so only a poor night from the field should be able to prevent him from hitting at least 20 points in this one. The alt line was 24.5 on Wednesday, so 19.5 against a Heat team without Jimmy Butler is highly appealing despite the low multiplier. DeRozan scored 23, 23, 23, and 27 points in his four games against the Heat during the regular season. Dap the More on DeMar for Friday night basketball.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
