Eloy Jimenez suffers adductor injury Sunday
Eloy Jimenez left Sunday’s game early against the Tigers with with left adductor soreness.
Fantasy Impact
Jimenez is being further evaluated by the White Sox. They should provide a further update on him soon at which point we’ll know much time he might miss.

Royce Lewis diagnosed with severe quad strain
Royce Lewis has been diagnosed with what is being called a “severe quad strain.” He will be re-evaluated in one month.
Fantasy Impact
Lewis was already placed on the 10-day IL, but now we know that he is going to be out for far more than 10 days. He will be re evaluated in one month, but it’s not a sure thing that he will be ready to ramp up baseball activities at that point. Willi Castro will likely get the bulk of starts at third base along with the newly called up Austin Martin.

Justin Steele (hamstring) out at least through April
Justin Steele was diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain. He is expected to be out at least through the end of April.
Fantasy Impact
Steele was already placed on the 15-day IL after leaving his Opening Day start due to a hamstring injury, but now we have a better idea of the severity. While a major injury seems to have been avoided, the Cubs are going to be careful with their ace and will ensure he is 100% before coming up with a plan for a return.
