2024 NFL Mock Draft: Full Seven Rounds With Trades

After four NFL mock drafts over the course of this cycle, dating all the way back to January, we have reached the apex: the fifth and final mock draft, a complete seven-rounder in all of its glory.

I won’t shy away from the goal of this final mock draft being as many correct team/player pairings as possible come Thursday night and beyond. That said, if I were entering this mock draft into a paid contest, of course, I’d more closely follow the odds throughout the entire top 10.

Hopefully, this version splits the gap of realistic outcomes with respect to the betting market, NFL Draft history and respective teams’ roster needs and decision-making processes.

All commentary on picks is reserved for the “Team Hauls” section after this mock draft.

TEAM HAULS

Arizona Cardinals

  • Malik Nabers
  • Laiatu Latu
  • Jordan Morgan
  • Maason Smith
  • Calen Bullock
  • Renardo Green
  • Jamari Thrash
  • Gabriel Murphy
  • Nehemiah Pritchett
  • Dillon Johnson

People love to project the Cardinals as movers up and down the board after their trading frenzy last year. However, this team should really stop getting cute and instead stick and pick for a blue-chip talent.

his is a shot-in-the-dark take with Malik Nabers as the actual WR1 off the board – which I would not personally endorse – but the noise that many teams have Nabers ranked ahead of Marvin Harrison Jr. is too loud to be manufactured at this point. It’s a hunch that Arizona is one of those teams.

I also have Arizona parting with one of their three Round-3 picks to ensure that they snag the possible EDGE1 on their board in Laiatu Latu.

Atlanta Falcons

  • Terrion Arnold
  • Junior Colson
  • Cole Bishop
  • Jonah Elliss
  • Roman Wilson
  • Jared Wiley
  • Tyler Davis
  • Evan Anderson
  • Tuli Letuligasenoa
  • 2025 Round-2 Pick (LV)

Whether Terrion Arnold is actually the first defensive player off the board is unclear—and probably unlikely—but Atlanta would love this outcome. They can move down five spots, pick up two Round-2 picks, and still select any defender they desire. Arnold fits the mold of the ultra-young, ultra-unique skill players that Atlanta has targeted in recent years.

Baltimore Ravens

  • Mike Sainristil
  • Mason McCormick
  • Blake Fisher
  • Jalen McMillan
  • Kam Kinchens
  • Myles Cole
  • Joe Milton
  • Curtis Jacobs
  • Willie Drew
  • Jalen Green

I’m not sure if there’s a more Ravens outcome than trading out of Round 1 to make six picks in the top 130, of whom at least five will probably become valuable role players for them.

Buffalo Bills

  • Andru Phillips
  • Troy Franklin
  • Payton Wilson
  • Kitan Oladapo
  • DeWayne Carter
  • Hunter Nourzad
  • M.J. Devonshire
  • Javon Solomon
  • Kendall Milton
  • Frank Crum
  • 2025 Round-3 Pick (NYG)

The Bills are a common prediction as a trade-up team, which makes sense because they historically do follow that path come the first night of the Draft. This year, however, I can see them moving in the other direction as they continue to reset their roster in hopes of stretching their championship window. Buffalo still has some cap concerns to sort out even after all of their drastic moves this offseason, and a mass influx of cheap talent is a good way to come out cleanly on the other side.

Carolina Panthers

  • Xavier Worthy
  • Nate Wiggins
  • Zach Frazier
  • Cade Stover
  • Tyrone Tracy
  • Edefuan Ulofoshio
  • Jaden Crumedy

Carolina needs players everywhere, ideally with one wide receiver at Picks No. 33 or 39. Here, they leave Day 2 of the draft with three prospects who have each been featured in first-round mock drafts at some point during this draft cycle.

Chicago Bears

  • Caleb Williams
  • Brian Thomas Jr.
  • Austin Booker
  • AJ Barner
  • Tory Taylor
  • 2025 Round-4 Pick (DEN)

Pick No. 9 is probably the ceiling for Brian Thomas Jr, but if the big-three wideouts fly off the board and the Bears don’t receive any calls for this pick, they might opt for the tall speed demon from LSU. He would nicely round out their receiving corps for Caleb Williams.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Quinyon Mitchell
  • Patrick Paul
  • Braden Fiske
  • Jermaine Burton
  • Audric Estime
  • Erick All
  • Trevor Keegan
  • Justin Rogers
  • Sam Hartman
  • Nelson Ceaser

It would be a very Bengals draft class to land maybe just one player who’d log plenty of starts for them in 2024, but a ton of players who’d log multiple starts for them in 2025.

Cleveland Browns

  • Michael Hall Jr.
  • Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
  • Javion Cohen
  • Tanner McLachlan
  • Ethan Driskell
  • Cody Schrader

There’s not much to see here with zero picks on Day 1 and only two picks on Day 2; just the Browns reinforcing what should remain one of the toughest defenses in the league.

Dallas Cowboys

  • Jackson Powers-Johnson
  • Xavier Legette
  • Trey Benson
  • Dwight McGlothern
  • Eric Watts
  • Dallin Holker
  • Nathan Thomas

Dallas seems extremely likely to select an offensive lineman at Pick 24. The question is, which one? A bunch, including tackles, guards and centers, should be considered in play. I lean center, where Jackson Powers-Johnson might be the best pure option in this class. This would be reminiscent of Dallas’ first-round selection of Travis Frederick.

Denver Broncos

  • Troy Fautanu
  • Spencer Rattler
  • Theo Johnson
  • Ray Davis
  • Luke McCaffrey
  • Braiden McGregor
  • Xavier Weaver
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-4 Pick

I really like the pairing of Troy Fautanu to Denver; it’s a great match of pick value and player fit. He’s the precise mold that Sean Payton regularly targeted early for the Saints’ offensive lines of years past. After Round 1, Denver should be considered one of the frontrunners to land a quarterback in Tiers 2-3 of this class. I can see Payton liking Spencer Rattler, especially behind a reinforced offensive line.

Detroit Lions

  • Kingsley Suamataia
  • Marshawn Kneeland
  • Kamal Hadden
  • Matt Lee
  • Jalen Coker
  • Cam Little

I think we’ll only continue to see more NFL Drafts like 2023’s wild one from the Lions’ brass before they return to league norms with their draft strategies. They target “their guys” and go after them at just about any cost necessary. Kingsley Suamataia and Marshawn Kneeland are both ascendant prospects who could take meaningful snap counts right away for a Detroit team with Super Bowl aspirations for this upcoming season.

Green Bay Packers

  • Graham Barton
  • Bo Nix
  • Kamari Lassiter
  • Kiran Amegadjie
  • Trevin Wallace
  • Elijah Jones
  • Dominique Hampton
  • Isaiah Davis
  • Tyrice Knight
  • Kenny Logan
  • Jaden Shirden

Just like wide receivers, Green Bay doesn’t typically select offensive linemen in the first round, but they’ve done such a solid job of roster building lately that the IOL stands out a ton as a roster weakness. For a potential immediate starter at center who smashes their athletic parameters for draft consideration, I think they might be willing to make an exception for Duke’s Graham Barton.

Also, shoutout to the Bo Nix pick in Round 2! Backup QB is legitimately one of the biggest holes on the Packers’ depth chart. And hey, people lambasted the Jalen Hurts pick in Round 2 when the Eagles had Carson Wentz theoretically in his prime.

Houston Texans

  • Edgerrin Cooper
  • Ennis Rakestraw Jr.
  • Malik Mustapha
  • Gabe Hall
  • Blake Watson
  • Qwan’tez Stiggers
  • Travis Glover
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-4 Pick

One NFL team in Texas is truly going all-in this offseason, and it isn’t the one who plays home games in Dallas. I have the Texans jumping back into Round 1 here to nab Edgerrin Cooper, the first linebacker off the board. He’s a do-it-all type who could immediately become a key chess piece for DeMeco Ryans’ defense.

Indianapolis Colts

  • Adonai Mitchell
  • Jaden Hicks
  • Cam Hart
  • Cedric Johnson
  • Isaac Guerendo
  • C.J. Hanson
  • Deantre Prince

Will Adonai Mitchell go to the Colts? I don’t know, but he is going in Round 1, and it might be in the top half of Round 1. Stop scanning his analytics profile; this is a smash first-round prospect with tantalizing skill and better production than he’s regularly being credited for.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Dallas Turner
  • Ja’Lynn Polk
  • Ruke Orhorhoro
  • Will Shipley
  • Jarrian Jones
  • Jacob Cowing
  • Caedan Wallace
  • KT Leveston

Taking Dallas Turner in Round 1 only two years removed from drafting Travon Walker with the first overall pick and only about two weeks removed from signing Josh Allen to a blockbuster extension would be a head-scratcher, especially with the Jaguars’ roster having multiple more glaring needs. For starters, this would make it the perfect Trent Baalke pick. But in sincerity, Turner is a versatile player who’s got some actual linebacker to him. Jacksonville could routinely leverage him, Walker and Allen in five-man fronts to bolster a pass rush that had absolutely no tertiary options last season (Allen and Walker were the only Jaguars with four sacks.)

Kansas City Chiefs

  • T.J. Tampa
  • Cooper Beebe
  • Javon Baker
  • Khristian Boyd
  • Fabien Lovett
  • Garret Greenfield
  • Anthony Gould
  • Rasheen Ali
  • Marist Liufau
  • 2025 Round-4 Pick (HOU)

Like with the Bills, I’ll go against the grain by having the Chiefs trade down, not up. No franchise does better right now than Kansas City at properly treating draft picks as currency, and it’s almost scary to think about what they could do with nine shots at the dart board. There probably isn’t a single superstar in the proposed class above. Still, there could be five-plus immediate impact players on a team that obviously should be playing in January again.

Las Vegas Raiders

  • J.J. McCarthy
  • Christian Jones
  • Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
  • Josh Newton
  • Jase McClellan
  • LaDarius Henderson
  • Chigozie Anusiem
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-2 Pick

Because I am convinced that we will not have four quarterbacks selected within the first five picks – because, you know, that never happens – I am also increasingly convinced that the Raiders will leave this Draft with a first-round signal caller. I’ve waffled between the order of QB2/QB3/QB4 over this process, but the truth of the matter is that the Raiders would probably be elated with any of them, especially if they don’t have to part ways with a future first-rounder to land one.

Los Angeles Chargers

  • JC Latham
  • Jer’Zhan Newton
  • Kool-Aid McKinstry
  • Jonathan Brooks
  • Malik Washington
  • Tanor Bortolini
  • Blake Corum
  • Michael Barrett
  • Keith Randolph Jr.
  • Trente Jones
  • 2025 Round-3 Pick (NE)
  • 2026 Round-2 Pick (MIN)

Things that I buy for the Chargers heading into this NFL Draft:  They are the most likely trade-down team in the top 10. They will spend multiple top picks on positions in the trenches, and Jim Harbaugh will log off on Saturday with multiple Michigan alumni as the newest members of the Chargers. Ta-da!

Los Angeles Rams

  • Ladd McConkey
  • Bralen Trice
  • Tyler Nubin
  • Jaylen Wright
  • Leonard Taylor
  • Tommy Eichenberg
  • Jaylan Ford
  • Karsen Barnhart
  • Logan Lee
  • Walter Rouse
  • Joshua Karty

I don’t buy into much smoke that stems from mock drafts by the “most connected” NFL media sources. Still, one recurring tidbit that I have picked up on from those and actually believe is the notion that Sean McVay has absolutely no intent on using his first Round-1 pick in over a half-decade on a defensive player. I feel like the Rams like their offensive line more than the public does, and with Brock Bowers already off the board in this exercise, too, they pivot to the shifty Ladd McConkey. He could bring a different flavor to the Rams offense alongside Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. Good luck covering those three.

Miami Dolphins

  • Jared Verse
  • Christian Mahogany
  • James Williams
  • Jaheim Bell
  • Tylan Grable
  • Ainias Smith

The Dolphins will perpetually be in win-now mode with Tua Tagovailoa under center. This justifies them taking a third heavy-investment EDGE with the other two, Bradley Chubb and Jaelen Phillips, rehabbing from major injuries suffered last season. Verse is just an awesome prospect, too, so this fits the best-player-available course of action as well.

Minnesota Vikings

  • Drake Maye
  • Mekhi Wingo
  • Javon Foster
  • Brennan Jackson
  • Delmar Glaze
  • Will Reichard
  • Kimani Vidal
  • Isaiah Williams
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-1 Pick
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2026 Round-2 Pick

If the Vikings can get the Patriots to even answer the phone while on the clock at pick No. 3, it increasingly sounds like they wouldn’t get off that call without taking control of that third pick. It would cost a fortune in terms of draft capital since Minnesota would have to pay both the top-three tax and the QB tax.

New England Patriots

  • Marvin Harrison Jr.
  • Amarius Mims
  • Brandon Dorlus
  • Michael Pratt
  • Tip Reiman
  • Nathaniel “Bookie” Watson
  • Xavier Thomas
  • Mark Perry
  • 2025 Round-1 Pick (MIN)
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-3 Pick

How about this proposed maneuvering from the Patriots? I had paired Harrison Jr. and New England at their original pick across multiple prior mock drafts. Here I have the Ohio State product heading to Boston again, but two picks later. This would be sly work by new showrunner Eliot Wolf. Even the Patriots fans who are most gung-ho for a new franchise quarterback would have a hard time resisting Harrison Jr. and an upgrade from a third-rounder to a first-rounder in next year’s Draft.

New Orleans Saints

  • Olu Fashanu
  • Keon Coleman
  • Decamerion Richardson
  • Matt Goncalves
  • Tyler Owens
  • Dylan Laube
  • Justin Eboigbe
  • Jha’Quan Jackson
  • Jordan Jefferson

The Saints are taking an offensive tackle in Round 1, end of story. This is around the range of the Draft where Olu Fashanu’s name should start to come up, in my opinion, so that’s why this has become one of the more frequent mock draft pairings. Landing Keon Coleman in Round 2 would also be sweet business for the Saints.

New York Giants

  • Rome Odunze
  • Michael Penix Jr.
  • Javon Bullard
  • Mohamed Kamara
  • Bucky Irving
  • Myles Harden
  • [TRADED AWAY] 2025 Round-3 Pick

The Giants probably like their wide receivers more than the public does, particularly Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt, so don’t expect them to just sprint to the podium with the card for whoever the consensus top available wideout is at pick No. 6. The selection of Rome Odunze is easier to justify in this scenario where Harrison Jr. and Nabers are already off the board. Still, I share that context because I believe New York could take Odunze over Nabers if given the option. Reuniting Odunze with his college QB in Michael Penix Jr. wouldn’t just be a fun story; it makes sense for where the Giants sit in this draft, and they’ve done plenty of homework on the Huskies’ southpaw.

New York Jets

  • Brock Bowers
  • Dominick Puni
  • T’Vondre Sweat
  • Jarvis Brownlee
  • Jordan Travis
  • Evan Williams
  • JD Bertrand

You might think that the Jets taking a tight end at pick No. 10 is a terrible misallocation of resources, and you might be proven right in a few years. Still, I would understand it, particularly through this lens:  If you’re a Jets fan, would you rather them take the best available pass-catcher in Round 1 and a versatile sixth offensive lineman in Round 3? Or, would you rather they take that OL6 in the draft lottery and then take a third-round receiver who would then have to prove himself worthy of targets as a rookie right away to Aaron Rodgers?

Philadelphia Eagles

  • Taliese Fuaga
  • Ricky Pearsall
  • Chris Braswell
  • Caelen Carson
  • MarShawn Lloyd
  • Johnny Wilson
  • Tykee Smith
  • Jordan Magee

If you blind surveyed a group of NFL Draft fanatics over which team used its first three picks on a trench player who logs reps as a rookie but is also a succession plan to a franchise stalwart, a pocket-pushing defensive lineman and an athletic WR3 with inside/outside versatility, what percentage would correctly guess that team is the Eagles? 98%? 99%?

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Tyler Guyton
  • Malachi Corley
  • Max Melton
  • Adisa Isaac
  • Sedrick Van Pran
  • D.J. James
  • Jaylin Simpson
  • Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint

It’s heavily implied that the Steelers will select an offensive lineman in Round 1. If they do trade back, which they absolutely should seek to do with various roster holes, then Tyler Guyton could be a perfect match for a Round-1 talent at OT, who they could realistically still land near the end of the first round.

San Francisco 49ers

  • Kris Jenkins
  • Braelon Allen
  • Brenden Rice
  • Isaiah Adams
  • Chau Smith-Wade
  • Sione Vaki
  • Kalen King
  • Steele Chambers
  • Bub Means
  • Kedon Slovis

More than any other team around the league these days, it feels like a waste of time to prognosticate over what the 49ers will do during the draft. Sometimes there is such a prevalent element of randomness to their selections that it comes off as indifference over pick value. So I’ll just keep my writeup on them to a homecoming for Jerry Rice’s son and a surprising choice for RB1 off the board. Braelon Allen at RB1 is one of my favorite deep longshot bets in this Draft; his odds currently sit around 50-1.

Seattle Seahawks

  • Cooper DeJean
  • Ben Sinnott
  • Brandon Coleman
  • Cedric Gray
  • Zak Zinter
  • Sataoa Laumea
  • Cornelius Johnson
  • Ryan Watts

The Seahawks have a known type for prospects: tough and versatile playmakers. They also have a type regarding their approach to the draft:  Trade back whenever possible. By moving down in Round 1 here, I have them recouping a Round-2 pick (they lost their own in the trade for Leonard Williams). It is very easy to visualize Cooper DeJean in Seattle’s defense, and I do buy that Kansas State’s Ben Sinnott could be the second tight end selected after Brick Bowers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Byron Murphy II
  • Khyree Jackson
  • Beaux Limmer
  • Jalyx Hunt
  • Ryan Flournoy
  • Devin Leary

Despite having three defensive tackles who were taken with top-33 picks already on the roster, including last year’s first-rounder Calijah Kancey, the Buccaneers could use another every-down presence alongside Vita Vea up-front. Byron Murphy II does not deserve to slip too far into the middle of Round 1. He very well could be the first defensive player drafted. However, if he does, then I’d fully endorse Tampa picking up the phone for him. Their front seven would be terrifying with Murphy II in the fold.

Tennessee Titans

  • Joe Alt
  • Darius Robinson
  • Kris Abrams-Draine
  • McKinnley Jackson
  • Layden Robinson
  • Marcus Harris
  • Brevyn Spann-Ford

Joe Alt to the Titans is the most boring mock draft pairing besides Williams to the Bears, but that doesn’t stop it from being accurate. It’s the right pick, too. In most drafts, a left tackle as athletically tantalizing and productive as Alt wouldn’t make it out of the top five.

Washington Commanders

  • Jayden Daniels
  • Chop Robinson
  • Christian Haynes
  • Roger Rosengarten
  • Ja’Tavion Sanders
  • Devontez Walker
  • Beau Brade
  • Tahj Washington
  • Daequan Hardy

Saving possibly the most intriguing team for last, I’ll admit that I flip-flopped at the last minute and followed the betting action with Jayden Daniels going to the Commanders at pick No. 2. I still won’t believe it until I hear the announcement on Thursday night. Still, the alternate odds have dropped off enough to the point that I don’t want to ruin this final version with a contrarian, slightly bias-impacted decision.
