2024 NFL Mock Draft: 6 First-Round Trade Picks & Predictions

2024 NFL Mock Draft: 6 First-Round Trade Picks & Predictions

The NFL world has its attention placed on the upcoming draft. The big event is less than three weeks away, meaning the rumor mill is on fire. Therefore, it’s the perfect time for another mock draft. Here’s my fourth NFL mock draft of the year. Below we dive into a few first-round NFL Draft trades that I’m predicting.

2024 NFL Draft Guide

2024 NFL Mock Draft With Trades

Minnesota Vikings receive pick 4. Arizona Cardinals receive picks 11, 23, 2025 first-rounder.

4) Minnesota Vikings (via Cardinals) – Drake Maye (QB – UNC)

It feels like a near-lock Minnesota will trade into the top five to select a quarterback. In this mock draft, they dance their way to turn in the draft card with Drake Maye’s name on it.

Arizona Cardinals receive picks 8, 43. Atlanta Falcons receive picks 11, 35, 66.

8) Arizona Cardinals (via Falcons) – Rome Odunze (WR – Washington)

General manager Monti Ossenfort traded down and back up within four picks last year. Therefore, don’t be surprised if Arizona moves down with Minnesota but jumps back up to secure an elite wide receiver prospect for Kyler Murray. Landing Odunze and a pair of first-round picks for the fourth overall selection might go down as one of the best draft moves in NFL history.

Pittsburgh Steelers receive picks 12, 203. Denver Broncos receive picks 20, 51.

12) Pittsburgh Steelers (via Broncos) – Taliese Fuaga (OT – Oregon State)

There will be a run on offensive linemen during the teens. Therefore, Pittsburgh gets aggressive and trades up to start the run. Whether it’s Russell Wilson or Justin Fields under center, the Steelers need to add a starting-caliber offensive tackle early in the draft.

Los Angeles Rams receive pick 13. Las Vegas Raiders receive picks 19, 83, 99.

13) Los Angeles Rams (via Raiders) – Byron Murphy II (DL – Texas)

Aaron Donald’s retirement leaves the Rams with a massive hole in the front seven of their defense. While no one can replace the future Hall of Famer’s production, Murphy is the clear-cut top defensive lineman in the draft class. Los Angeles has 11 picks this year, so parting with a pair of third-rounders to jump several potentially interested teams is a small price to pay.

Green Bay Packers receive pick 20. Denver Broncos receive picks 25, 88.

20) Green Bay Packers (via Broncos, Steelers) – Amarius Mims (OT – Georgia)

The Packers have 11 picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Therefore, expect them to be aggressive in trade talks to move up and acquire picks next year. While Rasheed Walker did well filling in for David Bakhtiari at left tackle, Green Bay should use an early-round pick to improve Jordan Love‘s protection.

Tennessee Titans receive pick 32, own 2025 third-rounder. Kansas City Chiefs receive pick 38, 2025 second-rounder.

32) Tennessee Titans (via Chiefs) – Xavier Worthy (WR – Texas)

While Calvin Ridley is a capable No. 1 wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins is entering the final year of his contract. Therefore, don’t be surprised if the Titans trade into the late first round for a wide receiver to improve Will Levis‘ supporting cast. Tennessee traded their 2025 third-round pick to Kansas City a few weeks ago for L’Jarius Sneed. As part of this draft-day trade, the Titans will get back their third-round pick in 2025 in exchange for their second-round selection.
