Players I’m Already Sold on for 2024 (Fantasy Football)

We’re still a month away from the NFL draft but there are three players I am already sold on for 2024.

Players I’m Already Sold on for 2024

Derrick Henry (RB – BAL)

Technically speaking, I’ve been sold on Derrick Henry for a decade. And 2024 is simply a continuation of the trust I have in him but with the added caveat of Henry transitioning to a team where he could legitimately score 20 touchdowns. The thought feels egregious but it’s a very realistic stat line. The Ravens’ offense often gets mislabeled as “Lamar Jackson RB1.” While Jackson gets a hefty amount of carries and yardage, he’s seldom used at the goal line. Baltimore had 26 rushing touchdowns in 2023. Lamar Jackson accounted for only five.

It’s also critical to note that four of those touchdowns came immediately after JK Dobbins‘ injury. Gus Edwards scored 13 total touchdowns. In the past three seasons, Jackson has totaled 10 rushing touchdowns. Compared to players like Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts — who had 15 rushing touchdowns last season — Jackson isn’t a touchdown vulture. The majority of Baltimore’s touchdowns in 2024 should go through Derrick Henry — 15-20 touchdowns is a realistic range.

Drake London (WR – ATL)

I’ve always been sold on Drake London but his situation made him difficult to draft. In 2022, London was stuck with the combination of Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder, who combined for a total of 17 passing touchdowns and less than 3,000 passing yards. The Falcons scored just 17 passing touchdowns again in 2023, only two of which went to London. But with Arthur Smith gone, Desmond Ridder shipped off to Arizona and newly acquired Kirk Cousins set to lead a Sean McVay system, London is set for a massive year-three jump. London has showcased an alpha ceiling, including a 10-reception, 172-yard performance last year. The only thing that could hold London back would be if the Falcons drafted a receiver with the eighth overall pick. But with the Falcons adding Darnell Mooney and Rondale Moore, London’s role appears very secure. 2024 will be his breakout year.

Jordan Love (QB – GB)

Jordan Love was one of my favorite Superflex sleepers in 2023, and he absolutely delivered. Love thrived as a first-year starter with 4,159 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, 11 interceptions and four rushing touchdowns. In Weeks 1 through 9, Love averaged 17.7 fantasy points per game. In Weeks 10-18, Love averaged 20.9 fantasy points per game. He showed strong development throughout the season and will continue his upward progression in 2024.

Love’s entire receiving corps returns and the team welcomes Josh Jacobs, who should provide a significant boost to a run game that struggled in 2023. The addition of Jacobs should have a positive effect on the offense as a whole. While some fantasy managers might be fearful that Jacobs’ production could cut into Love’s production, Love was still highly effective when Aaron Jones turned to full health. The sample size in the regular season was small but closing out the season, Jones had three straight games with a minimum of 20 carries and 100 yards. Love averaged 23.6 fantasy points during that stretch.

Despite finishing as the overall QB5 and the QB6 in average points per game, Love is QB9 in FantasyPros’ expert consensus rankings (ECR). He is potentially a bargain for drafters wanting to invest in receivers and running backs early.
