Calvin Ridley expected to draw interest from New England
Calvin Ridley is reportedly going to draw strong interest from the Patriots when free agency opens this week.
Fantasy Impact
Ridley had an inconsistent first season with the Jaguars but is apparently a major target of the WR-needy Pats when free agency kicks off. For what it’s worth, Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence told reporters on Saturday that he would like to have Ridley back. New England is likely to upgrade the QB position either in free agency or in the NFL draft, but either way it is hard to get too excited about Ridley if he ultimately lands there.

Austin Ekeler drawing interest from Giants
Austin Ekeler is slated to test the open market when free agency begins this week after the Chargers appear ready to move on from their star running back. One team reportedly interested in Ekeler is the New York Giants, who are likely moving on from their own star runner in Saquon Barkley.
Fantasy Impact
Ekeler showed signs of slowing down in 2023 and he is likely headed for a passing-catching role wherever he lands. That being said, the Giants’ offense should be improved from the 2023 season and would be a decent landing spot for Ekeler. In addition to Ekeler, the Giants have also been rumored to have interest in Tony Pollard. Stay tuned.

Tony Pollard could draw interest from Giants
Tony Pollard could be heading to a new team when NFL free agency opens this week. Pollard is reportedly drawing interest from the Giants, who are unlikely to bring Saquon Barkley back and will be looking to replace him in their backfield this offseason.
Fantasy Impact
Pollard struggled at times as the full-time starter in Dallas in 2023 but he is apparently of interest to the Giants. While New York’s offense struggled last season, Pollard landing a lead-back role for the upcoming season should be considered a win for him. For what it’s worth, the Giants are also rumored to be interested in Austin Ekeler, so Pollard to New York is far from a done deal. Stay tuned.

Justin Fields: Bears patient amid QB’s lukewarm market
With QB Justin Fields likely on the move this offseason, the Chicago Bears are reportedly remaining patient amid an unspectacular trade market for the fourth-year passer.
Fantasy Impact
ESPN’s Dan Graziano said that he hasn’t yet heard any indication that Caleb Williams won’t go No. 1 to Chicago, likely meaning the Bears will move off of Fields. But the front office might stay patient and wait for the QB market (Kirk Cousins, Baker Mayfield) to play out first before leveraging Fields. However, the Bears may no longer be able to fetch a second-rounder, as teams supposedly are hesitant about Fields’ looming fifth-year option decision, one that isn’t present in QBs Sam Darnold or Drew Lock‘s contracts.
