NFL Draft Burning Questions: Byron Murphy, Brian Thomas Jr., Xavier Worthy (2024 Fantasy Football)

The NFL draft is around the corner, and we are eagerly awaiting to watch what our team does to build for the future. The draft brings a ton of excitement, but it also brings a ton of questions.

We spent a ton of time focusing on the quarterbacks in this article’s last version, but let’s ask some other questions to help prepare us for the NFL Draft.

2024 NFL Draft Guide

NFL Draft Burning Questions

Will Byron Murphy Go In The Top 15?

Byron Murphy is the town’s talk regarding the defensive line and this NFL draft. He is strong and violent in each play, his upper body strength is something that could amaze any bodybuilder, and he punches with the best of them. He is a gifted lineman who can beat you with strength and speed, a combination that means any team would want him to be on their team for the next decade.

Who will draft him? My guess is that he could land with the Atlanta Falcons or the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams lost their superstar Aaron Donald, and the Falcons need all the help they can get in the middle of their defense. The question is, will he be drafted in the Top-15? Will the Rams have the courage to move up and draft him, or will another team swoop in to draft this dominant player?

He isn’t precisely Jalen Carter, but he could help revamp any team in the middle of their defense and watch where he can shake the entire draft in 2024.

Will The New England Patriots Trade Back?

The rumor is that the New England Patriots will trade out of the third position for more draft stock. These rumors make sense, considering the Patriots have a ton of struggles in multiple places. The thought behind this question is simple if you dive deep into it: is drafting a quarterback worth it when your team is a step away from a dumpster fire?

With new coaching, the New England Patriots could be heading in a deeper rebuild and moving back in the draft to stock up on plenty of picks to build their team. Moving back is in the nature of the New England Patriots, and when you look at their roster, they need as much help as they can get in New England.

Will The Colts Draft Help For Anthony Richardson (QB – IND)?

Last year, the Colts drafted Richardson with the fourth overall pick and saw immediate dividends before his season-ending injury. After that, they signed Jonathan Taylor and re-signed Michael Pittman this offseason. Should the Colts aim for more firepower around their quarterback? I believe so. It would be best if you gave your franchise quarterback every chance to succeed, so with their first-round pick, they should go for an offensive player.

My favorite option is Brian Thomas Jr., who will add speed to their wide receiver room and immense talent. Pairing Thomas with Pittman and Taylor makes the Colts’ offense almost unstoppable in Indianapolis.

Who Will The Dallas Cowboys Draft at 24?

Look, I am an Eagles fan writing this article. I hope they draft punters every round. However, the Cowboys could go in many ways in the draft with the gun-slinging Jerry Jones behind the wheel. They are tricky to predict because they need multiple important positions for their Super Bowl hopes to stay alive in 2024.

The Cowboys could use an RB, WR, OL, DL, and CB. At 24, they could look at players like Nate Wiggins, Jer’Zhan Newton, Amarius Mims, and Kool-Aid McKinstry.

My favorite player for them would be Mims, who stands 6’7 and 340 lbs. He could be a more polished prospect, but he is an athletic freak who brings sky-high potential to your offensive line. He may take some time, but that type of talent could mimic Jordan Mailata here in Philadelphia.

2024 Dynasty Fantasy Football Guide

Will The Kansas City Chiefs Luck Into The Fastest Player In Combine History?

Xavier Worthy broke the record with the fastest 40-yard dash in the history of the NFL Combine. With the wide receiver depth in this draft, Worthy looks like a late first-round pick, maybe even an early second-round pick, and the Chiefs are right there.

Yes, they just signed Hollywood Brown, but they could use more talent in that room, and Hollywood won’t be in KC for long. Instead, you draft another high-motor player with speed, like Tyreek Hill, to drive defensive coordinators crazy all season long. The more you think about it, the more you want this for Patrick Mahomes, especially if he is on your team in dynasty.

Which Player Will Slide Down The Board The Most?

Someone always slides way past where the rumors had them landing. Last year, Will Levis sat around the draft room for the first round. Although his girlfriend became famous, no player wanted to be that guy.

So, who is that player this year? My guess is Laiatu Latu. He is exceptionally talented, but his neck injuries may scare teams away from paying up early in the 2024 NFL draft. There is always one player who slips, and if I had to bet on this outcome, that’s where my money would reside.

How Many Times Will ESPN Remind Us That Carolina Traded Out Of The First Pick?

The Carolina Panthers traded their first-round pick this year for Bryce Young. The jury is still out on whether this was a great decision.

However, we know ESPN will harp on this throughout the first round. Do you think the Carolina fans will regret losing their chance at Caleb Williams? I do, but only time will tell.
