I missed this article last week (my day job gets in the way sometimes), but we’re back and ready to tackle tonight’s six-game Saturday DFS NBA slate. Last night, Victor Wembanyama achieved another ceiling game at too low of an ownership rate, so all eyes will be on him again tonight in a tougher matchup against Phoenix. Check out the rest of the content at FantasyPros, and be sure to follow me on Twitter/X @jac3600.
(Note: FanDuel is including the 10 PM EST DEN/POR game)

Victor Wembanyama (SAS) | $10,600 DK, $11,200 FD
Yeah, I didn’t hide that well. It’s tough to go against Domantas Sabonis and his 52 straight double-doubles, but, if there’s any team that could snap it, it’s Orlando tonight. The Magic rank second in defensive efficiency and sixth in rebounding rate. Sacramento isn’t exactly a picnic of a matchup, but they give up more than the league-average in blocks. Wemby’s PNR role has been rapidly increasing as the season has gone on as well. I don’t think you need to go here in cash on the second night of a back-to-back, but Wembanyama enters the night with the highest ceiling projection once again.
CASH PICKS
Devin Booker (PHX) | $8,900 DK, $9,300 FD
Booker’s shooting woes since returning from injury (12% from three before going 6-8 against Atlanta last game) have contributed to his price being depressed. DFS players should take advantage of this, as Booker’s usage and assist rate have remained static even with the Suns being fully healthy for the first time all year. The Suns have a great matchup against the Spurs who are fourth in pace and 24th in defensive efficiency. The Spurs are also playing on tired legs. The Suns being healthy caps their ceilings for GPPs, but Booker is a rock solid cash play.
Amen Thompson (HOU) | $6,600 DK, $7,700 FD
Thompson is getting up there in price on FD, but he’s still going to be very popular on DK with just a marginal price increase. All Houston players in general will be in play tonight against Utah (seventh in pace, 29th in defensive efficiency), but Thompson looks like a solid per-dollar value for cash. Since Alperen Sengun went down, Thompson is averaging 12.6 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 4.1 APG as a starter.
VALUE PLAYS
Ochai Agbaji (TOR) | $4,800 DK, $4,600 FD
It’s difficult to break down the Toronto and Washington players at this juncture due to so many questionable tags, but this game itself strongly requires your attention. This is a contest between two BAD defensive teams, as they rank 23rd and 30th in defensive efficiency respectively. Washington is also the top-ranked team in pace, so any Raptors should be getting a boost. Agbaji is not the best per-minute player, but his minutes have consistently been over 30 lately. His price is not reflective of that recent usage.
Davis Bertans (CHA) | $3,800 DK, $4,400 FD
Bertans’ price was over $1,000 more than this just a few games ago, and there’s really been no playing time decrease to warrant this discount. His nine minutes last game were a result of being ejected. Before that, Bertans had played 31, 26, 21, and 26 minutes for Charlotte. He’s not the three-point assassin we saw a few years ago, but he doesn’t need much to pay off a sub-4k price tag. It’s a great spot too, as Atlanta ranks third in pace and 28th in overall defensive efficiency.
