2024 NFL Draft Georiga Pro Day: Brock Bowers, Ladd McConkey, Kendall Milton, Daijun Edwards (Fantasy Football)

The 2024 NFL Combine has come and gone, and next up for prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class is their Pro Day. We’ll dive into notable players entering Pro Days as they try to improve their stock for the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.

2024 NFL Draft Guide

2024 NFL Draft Outlook

Daijun Edwards (RB – Georgia)

A quick, sudden back who runs with a sense of urgency and who can be dangerous with a lane. He’s at his most effective when he’s able to execute outside zone concepts, with good elusiveness at the second level. Doesn’t have a ton of tread on his tires and his overall awareness and technique in pass protection could also help him see the field a bit sooner than some of the other backs in the class. While he’s not the biggest or most powerful back, has the look of someone who could bring energy as a change-of-pace back in a zone-heavy offense. Warrants mid-round consideration.

Kendall Milton (RB – Georgia)

A big, pretty smooth back who shows above-average patience and finishes his runs well but who never really established himself as a lead back in school. Speed, explosiveness and quickness are closer to adequate. While Georgia included a relatively high rate of zone concepts in their run game he might benefit from moving to a gap/power scheme, which would see him pound the ball between the tackles instead of executing so many outside concepts. While he has the size and strength to take on rushers in blitz pickup, his lack of experience in the passing game might relegate him to a committee role, most likely as a short-yardage/goal-line back.

Brock Bowers (TE – Georgia)

The most versatile tight end prospect in some time, Bowers did a bit of everything in school, lining up all over the formation and showing an excellent combination of functional strength, athleticism, speed, receiving skills, and dynamism with the ball in his hands. More importantly, he should be able to continue executing those various responsibilities at the pro level. That should make him a high first-round pick, assuming everything checks out with his ankle. Will certainly be the top tight end off the board.

Ladd McConkey (WR – Georgia)

A fast, explosive receiver who got a lot of off-coverage in school because of his speed, and who was then able to work underneath the defense for some easy grabs. Because of his creativity and elusiveness as a runner, the team also loved scheming him touches on screens and other plays of that type. Looks like a second-day pick that would function best on a team that could get him the ball with room to work.
