Rival MLB Best Ball Full Season

Best ball is by far my favorite format for baseball, as daily management for a 162-game season can become cumbersome, so I am elated that Rival Fantasy has best ball ready for the 2024 season. Full season drafts are open until Opening Day, and you can also mock draft while you wait for your lobby to fill. I’ve already signed up for a couple of slow drafts (my preferred method for best ball) and have completed my first mock of the season. The draft interface is simple to use and the picks come in quick in the mocks, so be sure to have your FantasyPros Cheat Sheet at the ready. With 18 starting positions to just six bench, team composition and injury attrition (or lack thereof) will be key to success.

It is simple to choose your preferred format, league size, and entry fee, and once the league is full, you will receive both an email and push notification (if you allow them). There is only a five minute warning once the lobby is filled, so if you choose fast draft, be sure to at least have your email notifications set to on. I suggest participating in at least one mock draft before your first Rival Fantasy live draft, as it will allow you to familiarize yourself with the interface, make note of any perceived ranking inefficiencies, and it also allows you to test out different draft strategies and positions.

Rival Fantasy Best Ball In Season

For those who are interested in daily and weekly DFS, there will be an in-season option available. Daily is like it sounds: draft a new team for each slate. Weekly, on the other hand, is more dynamic as you can start on any day of the week and have your roster compete for the rest of that week. This means your weekly best ball team can run from one to seven days, depending on when you draft. There are smaller team sizes and no bench in the In Season drafts, making drafting quicker and more straightforward. The In Season week runs from Monday to Sunday. If you create a team before Monday’s games, you will have a seven day team. However, if you draft before Thursday’s games, you will have a four day team. The lobby makes differentiating between daily and weekly a simple matter as the daily will have the date of the slate (e.g., March 28th) while weekly will have the name of the week of the fantasy season (e.g., Week 1 or Week 18).

Final Thoughts

Best Ball is something I look forward to partaking in for each major sport each season, so it is incredibly convenient that I can now play my Season Long standard leagues and Best Ball leagues in the same place that I host my Challenges and play Fantasy Bingo. Rival Fantasy is now akin to a one-stop shop for all of our fantasy needs! Be sure to peruse the platform if you are not already a Rival Fantasy user. You won’t be disappointed.
