DraftKings Pick6 2/28/24
DeMar DeRozan (G – CHI): 4.5 assists
DeMar has picked it back up in the assists department lately, recording five or more assists in four of his last five. Averaging 5.3 assists in the season, DeRozan’s assist numbers have been more inconsistent than his average suggests, but he has been on a steady enough run lately to attack. DeMar has recorded five or more assists in nine of his last 13 games and is an excellent bet to do so again tonight against a Cleveland team that he dished out eight, three, and six assists against in the Bulls’ three games against them this season. Dap the More on DeRozan for Wednesday night’s action.
Pick: More
Keegan Murray (F – SAC): 1.5 threes
Keegan Murray looks like a future star when he flashes but has been inconsistent enough that one has to wonder exactly what the Kings were thinking when they decided to pull him from discussions for former all-star and All-NBA forward Pascal Siakam. Keegan was excellent his last time out, draining six of his seven attempts from deep. He has put up two or more threes in each of his last three games. Averaging 2.3 three pointers per game on the season, Murray has actually fallen under the number in two of his three games against the Nuggets this season. Building Keegan’s confidence should become a priority as the playoffs draw closer, so expect another high-volume night from deep (at least for a role player). DraftKings is pretty judicious about what lines they make available on any given day, and as a Less platform, they feel confident enough about their model, suggesting that Keegan will likely have just one to two made threes tonight. He will likely need to go cold from deep for the More to miss, so Mash the More on Murray for Wednesday night.
Pick: More
Max Strus (G/F – CLE): 9.5 points
Fresh off a thrilling half court buzzer beater, we should see the slightly more aggressive version of Strus tonight against the Chicago Bulls. Strus has scored 14 or more points in three of his last four games. He has fallen under the total in both games against Chicago this season, but this play is more about recent form than head-to-head data. DraftKings Pick6 is made for Less plays, but I still seek out the More values when possible. Listed at 8.5 elsewhere some of the value is sapped, but there is still reason for optimism given Strus’ recent play. Tap the More on Strus for Wednesday night basketball.
