Mike Evans, Buccaneers far apart on contract extension
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and WR Mike Evans reportedly still “remain far apart” on contract talks, with Evans “trending toward” becoming a free agent.

The Buccaneers will take on about an additional $7.4 million in dead cap in 2024 via void years this season from Evans’ previous deal by not working out an extension to reallocate the money before the Monday, Feb. 19 deadline. With the new league year approaching, the Buccaneers feel the pressure to get a deal done with Evans before he becomes a free agent, especially with the team likely preferring to use their franchise tag elsewhere, like with safety Antoine Winfield Jr.

Deshaun Watson (shoulder) expected to begin throwing in March
Deshaun Watson is reportedly on track with his rehab schedule and expected to begin throwing in March.
Fantasy Impact
Watson underwent surgery back in November to repair his fractured right shoulder socket. This puts him on track to be healthy when the Browns begin their offseason program on April 15.

Russell Wilson not expected to return to the Broncos
It is being reported that “virtually no one around the league” expects Russell Wilson to return to the Broncos in 2024.

This all but confirms the reports all offseason of Denver being expected to move on from Wilson. The Broncos will attempt to trade him, but it’s unclear if they’ll be able to. The Raiders and Steelers are two of the teams who have been linked to Wilson in rumors.
