Josh Jacobs not expected to have franchise tag placed on him
The Raiders will attempt to re-sign free-agent-to-be running back Josh Jacobs, but they are not expected to tag him.
Fantasy Impact
The franchise tag would cost $14,149,200. The two sides attempted to agree to a long-term deal last offseason, but they weren’t able to and Jacobs eventually held out of camp. Despite averaging a career-low 3.5 YPC, he should still draw plenty of interest in free agency.

Austin Ekeler expected to explore free agency
The Chargers are expected to let Austin Ekeler explore free agency.

Ekeler has spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Chargers, initially playing behind Melvin Gordon before eventually taking over the lead role. He could still return to the Chargers under new coach Jim Harbaugh, but he’ll test free agency.

Derrick Henry not expected to have franchise tag placed on him
The Titans are not expected to place the franchise tag on Derrick Henry.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise as it was largely expected that Henry had played his last game with the Titans this past season. While he will be 30 years old at the start of next season, he should still draw plenty of interest from teams in free agency.
