Jarrett Stidham could serve as bridge option for young QB
Denver Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham could potentially serve as a bridge option under center alongside a young QB in 2024.
Fantasy Impact
With the potential mounting that the Broncos will move on from veteran QB Russell Wilson before the start of the new league year in mid-March, NFL.com’s insiders reported that the Broncos could look at Stidham as an option for next season to bridge a young QB. Stidham has one year left on his two-year, $10 million deal, and he started the last couple of games in 2023. With the No. 12 pick, the Broncos may opt to take a QB in the NFL Draft, or they could get aggressive and look for a trade-up opportunity. If they bring in a young QB, Stidham could get the nod early in the year while they coach up their new acquisition on the side.

Mac Jones ‘a likely trade candidate’ for Patriots
New England Patriots QB Mac Jones is considered a “likely trade candidate” by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, with there being a “good chance” he ends up elsewhere in 2024.
Fantasy Impact
After getting demoted from starter to third-stringer, Jones’ relationship with the Patriots has likely been strained to the point of no return. The former first-round pick experienced the worst year of his young, three-season pro career, throwing for 2,120 yards with 10 TDs and 12 INTs. He ranked 28th in EPA/play, but there’s a chance a QB-desperate team outside of the 2024 NFL Draft’s ideal QB range could take a chance.

Kirk Cousins: Vikings hopeful to re-sign veteran QB
The Minnesota Vikings “would like to re-sign Kirk Cousins,” who is set to be a free agent this offseason, says NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, though he’s expected to command a “strong market.”
Fantasy Impact
Cousins, who is already 35, is coming off of an Achilles tear. Despite these factors, the veteran QB is expected to draw interest as a free agent, especially when considering he was on pace for one of his best seasons as a pro, and QBs of his caliber are rarely available in free agency. Pelissero said the Vikings are evaluating all options in the event Cousins’ price tag is too high, and they could pursue a “more economical veteran,” with Sam Darnold being mentioned as an option.
