Fantasy Basketball Trade Advice (Week 15)
Trade For
Paul Reed (C, PF – PHI)
There has been no reported timetable concerning Joel Embiid‘s potential meniscus injury. What we can deduce from this murky situation is that Embiid will shoot for a fully healthy playoff run, and he could very well sit out until late April. This leaves Paul Reed to fill in to the Sixers’ starting center role.
In 11 contests as a starter this season, Reed is averaging 12 points, seven rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. If you’re in need of a big man the rest of the way, Reed is a well-rounded player to acquire.

Trade Away
Buddy Hield (SG, SF – IND)
Outside of his rookie year, Buddy Hield is statistically having the worst campaign of his eight-year career. He’s averaging 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 43.8% shooting from the field and 38.3% from deep.
After stringing together six games of at least 12 points, Hield has hit the double-digit mark just twice in his most recent six outings, including four games with just one made field goal. This could very well be a cold streak for Hield, but considering that Aaron Nesmith is having his best season, Hield may fall out of favor rather quickly in Rick Carlisle’s high-octane rotation.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Lower: Franz Wagner, Tobias Harris, Draymond Green
Trade For
Precious Achiuwa (C, PF – NYK)
Much like the reasoning behind acquiring Reed, Precious Achiuwa is tasked with filling the void left behind by a star. While Julius Randle is set to be re-evaluated in just a few weeks, Achiuwa may impress enough in his new role to land the backup center position for the rest of the season.
Achiuwa has never jumped off the page as a scorer, but he’s a gifted athlete and a solid rebounder despite his limited playing time throughout his career.
Players to Trade Him For Who Are Ranked Higher: Chris Boucher, Isaiah Jackson
Trade Away
Caris LeVert (SG, SF – CLE)
In 97 games playing alongside Darius Garland as a Cav, Caris LeVert averages 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists. Without Garland, those figures rise to 16.8 points, four rebounds and 4.9 assists in 32 outings.
LeVert has always been best with the ball in his hands, but with Garland’s 15.6 shots per game returning to the lineup, LeVert will return to his role as the primary bench scorer. It’d be best to ship LeVert off now because Garland is still under a minutes restriction that has kept him at 20 and 24 minutes played in his first two games back.
