Wednesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Jalen Green, Jarrett Allen, Nikola Jokic (1/31)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/31)

Jarrett Allen (C – CLE): 16.5 points

Allen continued his dominant run on Monday, exploding for 20 points and seven rebounds. Averaging 15.3 points per game on the season and 17.5 points per game in January, Allen averages just 13.8 points per game without Evan Mobley in the lineup. Mobley played limited minutes in his first game back in action but should ramp up to 28-30 minutes tonight, which should be enough to start to cut into some of Allen’s quality looks and volume. Allen will not average 17 points per game with a healthy Mobley but will still cross the threshold at times. Allen scored 10 and 19 points in his two games against the Detroit Pistons earlier this season. Jab the Less on Allen for Wednesday night.

Pick: Less

Jalen Green (G – HOU): 19.5 points

Green has seemingly found a new gear lately, scoring 29 or more points in three of his last four and 19 or more in each. He will not always be hot enough from the field to hit 25+ points, but due to heating up, he should see enough volume tonight to hit at least 20 points. Green has had mixed results against the Pelicans this season, dropping 25 points in one and just nine points in 22 minutes in the other. New Orleans has relinquished 21.97 points per game to the shooting guard position this season. Roll with form and opponent and tap the More on Green for Wednesday night.

Pick: More

Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): 0.5 double doubles

Jokic continues to roll and make this total feel more like a free mini multiplier boost. It, of course, makes the most sense with promo lines that require at least three picks instead of two, but as we have echoed here before, there is always a place for extremely high probability but low multiplier plays in environments that force you to make two or more predictions for action. Jokic has recorded a double double in 41 of his 47 games played and in 10 straight contests. Oklahoma City has allowed 15.93 rebounds per game to the center position this season. Jan the More on the Joker for Wednesday night basketball.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
