Week 18 is here. If the fantasy streets seem like a wasteland where no one dared venture, you wouldn’t be mistaken. Usually, in Week 18, we tend to shut down shop, hibernate until the new season, and watch the tumbleweeds roam the fantasy football land. However, we continue on for our DFS-loving members here since we can not get enough of this sport we love.
Now, this week is full of new twists and turns. We have backups in starter roles, contract bonuses that will come into play, teams resting stars, and teams tanking for next year’s draft. We must consider all this to build our lineups and stack the suitable games properly.
Let me help you maneuver through the manure for Week 18.
NFL DFS Week 18 Stacking Advice
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
On a slate with Carson Wentz and Jeff Driskel, we have a Konami-code savior in Fields. Yes, you will have to spend more on him, but you are eliminating a plethora of outcomes leading to your lineup’s demise. First, you add a rushing side, allowing your lineup to commit to a safe floor from the quarterback position. Second, you get a matchup with implications within the game regarding the playoffs. Therefore, you understand that this game should be played with Deadpool-like energy (get it? Maximum Effort).

I’ll sit in the corner after that lousy joke, but not before I remind you that Fields is QB7 in fantasy points per game (FPPG) this season. He gives you multiple games (6) of 20 or more FPPG while providing 24 fantasy points five times. Fields also give us the sixth-highest red zone carries per game while being second in rushing yards and seventh in rushing touchdowns. We can exploit this matchup for our fantasy gains with the cheese-head Packers’ defense being full of holes like Swiss cheese on an Applebee’s cheeseburger.
We pair Fields with Moore – the WR9 in fantasy points per game this season. He has produced six games with at least 22 fantasy points. Moore is seventh in deep targets, 13th in receptions and seventh in receiving yards. This week, he faces the Packers, who have allowed perimeter WRs to eat all season long. This Bears stack should pay dividends right away in Week 18.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
White has been a 2023 miracle for your fantasy teams. The last time he faced these Panthers, he hit his New Year Resolutions early, scoring 19.6 PPR points on 106 total yards. White needs less than 100 yards to reach 1000 rushing yards in the season. We expect him to achieve this goal against a weak run Panthers defense.
Since Week 12, this same defense has allowed the fourth-highest rushing touchdown rate and the second-highest missed tackles per attempt. They have also allowed the highest yards after contact per attempt. With Rachaad White penciled in for 20 total touches and a rostership below 10%, Rachaad White is a stud play for Week 18.
This defensive play is simple. We zig while others zag. Most people will use the Bengals or Chargers because their opponent is starting a backup quarterback. However, we will build leverage using a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense with a rostership percentage of 3.2%. With how putrid the Panthers’ offense can be and their ability to create mistakes and allow turnovers, the Buccaneers have a chance as a sneaky start to elevate your lineup in Week 18.
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Brown will have a MASSIVE target share this week, as his counterpart DeVonta Smith dealing with an injury. We know there has been drama with Brown, but when that happened early this season, he followed it up with a stretch of WR1 games.
This week, Brown faces the Giants defense – a unit lacking the talent to stop anyone. With most people watching my Eagles limp into the playoffs, and so steering clear of this offense, you will have the ability to create leverage within your lineup. Brown is only rostered at 6.7% for Week 18.
Waller is only rostered at 1.8% this week against the weak passing defense of the Eagles. Take it from a fan who has watched every minute of their games this season; the weakness is right up the spine of the defense. The Eagles can not protect the middle of the field, which is a blessing for teams that roll into town with a solid tight end like Waller.
Fading Waller in season-long was a simple prediction. However, this is one of the few weeks he can bring your lineup to fantasy glory. With the Eagles allowing the 12th-most fantasy points per game and receiving yards, you can stack Waller across from Brown and enjoy the fantasy success by day’s end.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
This combination pulls from Jefferson’s expensive side and Mundt’s cheap side. Jefferson is a simple play this week, facing a struggling Lions’ pass defense. Jefferson also gets to shine with the lesser of two evils – the gun-slinging Nick Mullens. Whenever we can use a player the caliber of Jefferson, we must consider it.
Now, we pair Jefferson with the dart throw of Mundt. Detroit has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points, the 11th-most receiving yards, and the seventh-highest yards per reception to tight ends. Mundt’s role has increased due to the T.J. Hockenson injury. Mundt even saw seven targets last week. It’s risky, but he could pay a considerable dividend in your lineup, as he is rostered in less than 8% of lineups for Week 18.
