We had a tiny Tuesday card but needed it after that mayhem on Monday. Seeing two players crack 60 points was truly absurd, and we might not see another night like that for quite some time. We actually had Joel Embiid as our highlight player, and we were obviously pleased with his 70 points and 18 rebounds. We probably won’t have another hit like that, but we’ll try our best!

Core Plays

LaMelo Ball (PG – CHA): $9,600 DraftKings, $9,800 FanDuel
Ball has trouble staying on the court, but he’s a stud whenever he’s able to. The Hornets point guard has scored at least 47 DraftKings points in 15 of the 19 games he’s finished. He’s also averaging over 50 DK points per game in those outings, and that should be his floor against Detroit’s disastrous defense. The Pistons post the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA, with Ball falling one rebound and one assist of a triple-double in their last matchup.

Karl-Anthony Towns (PF/C – MIN): $8,100 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel
The Joel Embiid 70-point masterpiece had many people overlooking KAT’s performance on Monday, dropping a season-high 77 DraftKings points. That extends a stellar stretch for Towns, averaging 45 DraftKings points per game across his last 12 outings. He had that massive game against a terrible Charlotte defense, but Washington is even worse. The Wizards rank 28th in defensive efficiency while allowing the most points in the league.

Jalen Duren (C – DET): $6,800 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel
This kid will be one of the best big men in the NBA. He’s already dominating the paint at just 20 years old, scoring at least 31 DraftKings points in 13 of his last 14 outings. That should continue for this pitiful Pistons roster, and this is one of the few games that could be close. Charlotte sits 24th in points allowed and last in defensive efficiency while surrendering the third-most fantasy points to opposing centers. In their one matchup, Duren dropped 47 DK points, tallying 14 points and 17 rebounds!

Cash Game Considerations

Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF/C – MIL): $11,000 DraftKings, $12,100 FanDuel
All the talk was surrounding Towns, Embiid, and Kevin Durant on Monday, but Giannis quietly had another monster night. He dropped 81 DraftKings points in that masterclass and is averaging nearly 65 DK points per game over the last month. Facing Cleveland is concerning for most players, but Antetokounmpo has at least 64 fantasy points in three straight matchups with the Cavs.

Luka Doncic (PG – DAL): $11,300 DraftKings, $12,200 FanDuel
Luka has been one of the best players in DFS, leading all players on this slate with 63 DraftKings points per game. He’s also established a 50-point floor, scoring 76 and 83 DK points in his two most recent outings. He’s also scored at least 57 fantasy points in 18 of his last 20 games and always owns the Suns. He’s averaging nearly 70 DK points per game against them over the last three years!

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG – OKC): $10,100 DraftKings, $NA FanDuel
There’s a chance that SGA sits in the second half of a back-to-back set, but we want to use him if he doesn’t. The MVP candidate is averaging 53 DraftKings points per game, scoring at least 38 fantasy points in all but three games all year. That’s scary for San Antonio, sitting 25th in points allowed and 26th in defensive efficiency. They surrendered over 100 DK points to Embiid on Monday and allowed Gilgeous-Alexander to score 57 or more DK points in three straight matchups!

GPP Targets

PJ Washington (PF/C – CHA): $5,700 DraftKings, $6,200 FanDuel
We had Washington in this section on Monday, and we will go back to him as long as Mark Williams and Nick Richards are on the injury report. That’s forcing him to start at center for Charlotte, and he’s been a $7K player in that type of role in the past. He also gets the benefit of facing one of the worst defenses in the NBA, with Detroit surrendering the second-most fantasy points to opposing centers.

Luke Kennard (SG/SF – MEM): $5,500 DraftKings, $5,700 FanDuel
It’s sad to see what’s happened to this Memphis roster, missing Marcus Smart, Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Steven Adams. That’s forcing Kennard into a 35-minute role and the primary scorer for this team. That’s led to Luke scoring at least 28 DraftKings points in five of his last seven fixtures, scoring a season-high 34 fantasy points in his most recent outing. He also took 18 shots while handing out seven assists, proving his importance for this shorthanded team.

Scoot Henderson (PG/SG – POR): $5,700 DraftKings, $5,500 FanDuel
This could be off base, but we expect Portland to rest some players here in the second half of a back-to-back set. Malcolm Brogdon possibly sitting is the most critical variable because that would make Scoot the starting point guard in this game. In the last start we saw without Brogdon, Henderson had 33 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists en route to 62 DraftKings points!

Value Plays

Rudy Gobert (C – MIN): $7,800 DraftKings, $8,200 FanDuel
It’s strange to see Gobert below $8K. The French center is having a bounce-back season in Minnesota, averaging 35 DraftKings points per game. He’s also established a 30-point floor and should wallop this woeful Wizards defense. Gobert gobbled up 17 points and 19 rebounds in their most recent matchup. Don’t be surprised to see him flirt with a 20-20 game once again with how bad Washington is on both ends of the floor.

Vince Williams (SG/SF – MEM): $6,500 DraftKings, $6,800 FanDuel
We just discussed how Memphis is missing every significant part of this offense, allowing Williams to take over. Despite posting a usage rate below 20 percent, he’s the primary ball-handler for this team. Williams has scored at least 28 DraftKings points in seven of eight games since receiving this expanded role, averaging 34 DK points per game in that span. The Miami matchup is challenging, but Williams needs to play 35 minutes with everyone missing.

Klay Thompson (SG/SF – GSW): $6,300 DraftKings, $NA FanDuel
The Warriors haven’t played in a week, and it might make people overlook Thompson. This sharpshooter was finding his form before they had their last two games suspended, averaging 31 DK points per game across his previous 17 outings. That even includes two duds, with Thompson averaging over 35 DK points per game if you remove those. One of the upside games is more like in this fantastic matchup with Atlanta, ranked 26th in defensive efficiency and 27th in points allowed. Thompson averaged 60 DraftKings points per game in their two matchups last year!
