My last mock draft was with an early pick. This mock will be with a late pick (1.11 draft spot). I once again used most of the default settings to conduct a 12-team, 20-round snake draft with the standard five-by-five rotisserie categories. Below we dive into a few notable late-round picks.

Rounds 7-11
I waited super long for my closers in my last mock. I’m not against doing that as closers appear on the waiver wire every season, but I elected to go a different route here and lock in two reliable ones in Romano and Munoz. There was some inconsistency with Munoz last year after Paul Sewald was traded — something to monitor. Nonetheless, his upside is as good as anyone from a fantasy perspective.
Rounds 12-20
I generally shoot for upside late in drafts. Which I did here with the likes of Marte and McKenzie. There is certainly injury risk with the latter of the two, but that is all baked into him falling this far in drafts. When healthy, he holds the upside to be an extreme value this late.
I also took a catcher early in the last mock but waited in this one, landing Murphy late. I generally wait on the position as you’ll always find several catchers who can be reliable in the double-digit rounds.
