Dynasty Rookie Draft Prospects

Blake Corum (RB – Michigan)

Easily one of the best pure runners in the class on tape, with an outstanding combination of consistency, intelligence, vision, patience, decisiveness, footwork, acceleration and toughness which allows him to rack up tons of yardage between the tackles. How teams evaluate his knee seems to be the key to his draft stock, especially because his yards-per-carry dropped somewhat this past season, but it would be surprising to see him fall out of the second day, as he has the skills to carve out a long, productive career in the pros.

Braelon Allen (RB – Wisconsin)

A modern power back who combines a massive frame and excellent power with discipline and more quickness than anticipated. May be slightly taller than you’d like in a pro back, but looks like an easy projection to the league as the power back in a rotation. Experience in both zone- and gap-based schemes should help him out. Could sneak into the second day, but should definitely be in consideration when the third day begins.

Trey Benson (RB – Florida State)

A big, tough runner who makes good decisions as a ballcarrier and who shows more speed and elusiveness than usual for his size. His size, relatively light college workload compared to some of the other top backs, and ability to block should earn him some second-day consideration. Would fit best in a gap offense that commits to the run game, as late in the game he can reap what he sowed on earlier carries between the tackles.
