Tuesday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Domantas Sabonis, Kawhi Leonard, Luka Doncic (12/12)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/12)

Kawhi Leonard (F – LAC): 26.5 points

The Klaw is back. Kawhi has worked through the growing pains after adding James Harden and is back to being the dominant player and the team’s alpha. Averaging 23 points per game on the season, Kawhi has averaged 27 points per game over his last five. He has scored 34 or more points in each of his last two games and dropped 34 on the Kings, in Sacramento, back on November 29th. The Kings have surrendered the fifth most points per game to the small forward position at 23.75 per contest, giving Kawhi an excellent chance to hit at least 27. He will need to stay aggressive from the field to hit the number, but head-to-head data coupled with his recent strong play suggests that the More is the play for Tuesday night. Tap the More on Kawhi for tonight’s action.

Pick: More

Luka Doncic (G – DAL): 8.5 assists

Luka has been excellent this season, averaging 32 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game. He has averaged 10.5 assists per game over his past five contests, with 18 against the Thunder earlier this month. Luka has recorded nine or more assists in four of his last five games. He managed ‘just’ eight assists against the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this season, putting him in an excellent position to hit eight or more once again tonight. Los Angeles allows 8.24 assists per game to the position. Bump the More on Luka for Tuesday night.

Pick: More

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles

Averaging 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game on the season, Sabonis is our favorite double double play at Sleeper Picks. With Nikola Jokic double double no longer offered or expiring within minutes, Sabonis is the go-to multiplier builder whenever he hits the floor. He has recorded 17 double doubles in 21 games played and is set to take on a Los Angeles Clippers team relinquishing 14.24 rebounds per game to the center position. This is one of the top plays of the day for Tuesday night. Dap the More on Domantas for tonight’s action.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
