Sleeper Picks NFL Week 17
Season record: 34-29
Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR – DET): 77.5 receiving yards
Amon-Ra has started to heat back up for the Lions and heads into his date with the Dallas Cowboys riding a two game streak with 106 or more receiving yards. He is averaging an elite 7.6 receptions for 91.5 receiving yards per game and has eight touchdowns on the season. The Cowboys are not the easiest matchup in the league, but have already allowed eight different receivers to top 78 receiving yards this season. Brown will likely have to generate some of his own yardage after the catch for this to click, but with 77 or more receiving yards in 10 of his 14 games played, Amon-Ra is a strong bet to do so once again this weekend. We all know the volume will be there, so it will only be a matter of target quality that can hinder him from hitting the mark. Bump the More on Amon-Ra for Week 17.
Pick: More
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB – DET): 48.5 rushing yards
Gibbs has been elite for the Detroit Lions, averaging 67.1 rushing yards and 24.3 receiving yards per game. Gibbs is facing off against a tough Dallas Cowboys defensive front but has been set at just 48.5 rushing yards due to playing in a committee. Dallas has allowed a running back to top 49 rushing yards on 11 different occasions this year while allowing two tandems to hit that mark in the same game. For Gibbs’ part, he has topped 49 rushing yards in each of his last five games and in eight of his last nine. Tap the More on Gibbs for Saturday night’s NFL action.
Pick: More
Darren Waller (TE – NYG): 37.5 receiving yards
I debated between Waller and Terry McLaurin here, as both will have upgrades at quarterback who have shown an affinity for the target in question. With that said Waller needs just 38 receiving yards to hit the More on Sunday afternoon. Waller has had three of his best four games of the season when Tyrod was under center for multiple snaps. For context, 49.8 percent of his receiving yards have come in games where Tyrod was under center for more than one play. Dap the More on Waller for Week 17.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
