NFL Week 16 Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2023)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for this week’s NFL action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NFL more/less picks.

Sleeper Picks NFL Week 16

Season record: 32-27

Trey McBride (TE – ARI): 59.5 receiving yards

McBride has caught fire for the Arizona Cardinals since Kyler Murray returned from injury. I thought about going receptions here as McBride has recorded seven or more receptions in four of his last five, but yardage projects as the safer play with the higher probability. McBride has recorded 60 or more receiving yards in four of his last five, and while 59.5 is extremely high for a tight end (T.J. Hockenson 53.5, Sam LaPorta 47.5), the young tight end has emerged as one of the most productive names at the position. McBride has averaged 7.6 receptions for 86 receiving yards on 27.3 percent of the targets since Week 10.

Pick: More

David Njoku (TE – CLE): 49.5 receiving yards

Njoku has been a volume machine with Joe Flacco under center, as the veteran quarterback has seemingly found a way to unlock the saliva-inducing potential Njoku has teased us with throughout his career. Njoku has recorded 56 or more receiving yards in five of his last six and 91 or more in each of his last two. At just 49.5, Njoku screams both bargain and trap. Still, Flacco is going to lean on his favorite target in what is projected to be a competitive matchup, even without C.J. Stroud on the field. Dap the More on Njoku for Week 16.

Pick: More

A.J. Brown (WR – PHI): 72.5 receiving yards

A.J. Brown had just 56 receiving yards in Week 15, and with the New York Giants on tap for Week 16, we can be sure that Jalen Hurts and the Eagles coaching staff will be making a concerted effort to get Brown higher-quality targets. Brown has seen 10 or more targets in each of the last three weeks and topped 91 receiving yards in two of them. The Giants have allowed the eighth-most receiving yards per game to the wide receiver position this season, giving a sputtering Eagles offense an excellent opportunity at a ‘get right’ game. Bump the More on A.J. Brown for Week 16.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
