Week 13 is here, and we are approaching the NFL regular season’s end. We are also dealing with a plethora of teams on bye in Week 13. If this article hasn’t bummed you out already, let’s not forget that we lost the Cowboys, Seahawks, Chiefs and Jaguars from the main slate.
So why even play in Week 13? Well, pride will be one reason. However, we also want to build our bankroll before the holidays and end the season on a good note. We have a lot of games to look at, but only a few stacks that stand out for me on this slate.
Let me be a homer and start in my hometown with the San Francisco 49ers versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

NFL DFS Week 13 Stacking Advice
San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles Stack No. 1
This stack hurts me deep to my core as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, but this San Francisco 49ers stack will pay dividends this weekend. The first thing you get here is a piece of the entire 49ers offense. Your team will then be fueled by the fifth-highest implied total from Week 13.
You will also have a share of a great matchup for a quarterback. The Eagles’ defense has allowed quarterbacks to throw for the fifth-most passing yards and second-most touchdowns while accumulating the second-most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to the position. Teams against the Eagles recognize this weakness and throw nonstop against this passing defense. The Eagles have seen 456 passing attempts, the most in the league.
Brock Purdy also loves to face the coverages the Philadelphia Eagles use the most. The Eagles lean on Cover 3 and Cover 1. When Brock Purdy faces Cover 3, he averages .49 fantasy points per dropback, which is third-best in the NFL. When he meets Cover 1, he averages .71, also third in the NFL.
We must discuss Christian McCaffrey, “CMC,” who is at the heart of this offense. CMC averages 21.9 touches and 120.8 total yards this season. Every DFS squad could use this in their lineup. CMC is expensive but worth it in this matchup.
Let’s stop breaking my Eagles’ heart and move on to the Eagles-led stack.
San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles Stack No. 2
We return to the same game and take the same approach with Jalen Hurts and D’Andre Swift, where we gather the entire Philadelphia offense for our fantasy needs. In my projections, Hurts should amass 230 yards and two passing touchdowns while rushing for 40+ yards and one rushing score. With Brock Purdy leading the way in rostership percentage this weekend, this Philadelphia stack can help you build leverage on the field with a Konami-style quarterback (which regular readers know is my favorite).
The 49ers’ defense leans on playing zone, which they use at the 11th-highest rate. Hurts is fifth in the NFL with fantasy points per dropback (FP/DB) against a zone defense. The 49ers use Cover 3 and Cover 4 the most. Jalen Hurts records the 10th-highest FP/DB in the NFL against Cover 4, which the 49ers use at the third-highest clip in the NFL. Hurts is also in the top 15 against Cover 3, the most popular scheme used by the 49ers defense.
Those defensive schemes block anything over the top, forcing teams to throw the ball underneath and check down the ball to their running backs. We will take advantage of the check-downs by playing Swift in this game. Swift can take advantage of the 49ers’ weakness against running backs in the passing game. The 49ers’ defense also allows the 10th-most receptions to running backs.
Once the Eagles enter the red zone, we know what they prefer to do with the ball. Between the Tush-Push and running with their backs, they have 48 carries inside the 20 this season. We would love to have that opportunity within our lineups on Sunday.
Our bring-back is Brandon Aiyuk. The former Arizona State Sun Devil has had 20+ PPR points in every week but one since Week 5. This week, he faces a Philadelphia secondary that allows the most receptions to wide receivers. The Eagles also allow wide receivers the third-most receiving yards and second-most touchdowns. Due to this weakness in their defense, the Eagles allow the most FPPG to the position. If you would like to pivot away from Purdy while holding on to a piece of San Francisco, Aiyuk is how you do that.
Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans
This stack is pretty simple since the Jonathan Taylor injury news. Whenever you can roster a running back with a chance at 20 carries for a low salary, you must add it to your lineup. Yes, the rostership percentage will be high, but you can take advantage of the savings and this production.
As for the Colts’ defense, Will Levis struggles against Cover 3, as he only produces .27 FP/DB, which is 27th in the NFL. The Colts run Cover 3 over 50% of the time and run some style of zone coverage 89.3% each game. In addition, Levis is dealing with a lower-body injury. We have a defense that will build leverage against your opponent and have a chance of producing double-digit fantasy points for your lineup.
Miami Dolphins @ Washington Commanders
Adding Dolphins wide receivers into your lineup would be best against this Washington Commanders passing defense. They have struggled all season long at stopping the pass, and now they face the high-powered Miami offense with the highest implied total of Week 13. There isn’t much to say here; the Dolphins are one of the best offenses, so you will want to use them in this favorable matchup.
As for Antonio Gibson, the game narrative states the Commanders play from behind, leaning into more passing opportunities. When the game narrative leans into the Commanders fighting to come back, Gibson could see five or more targets, which is excellent production/leverage for your lineup at his price point.
