I’m coming off a great week with my calls nailing, Bucs defense, Chig Okonkwo, Breece Hall and Calvin Ridley. I did miss on some guys like Chubba Hubbard, Aaron Jones and Geno Smith, but overall it was a good week. Week 17 is the first “full” slate we’ve had in awhile with 13 games, but interestingly, the viable player pool is small due to some injuries and players in bad matchups, but there is always some good value…

Quarterback
DraftKings
Tyrod Taylor (NYG) vs. LAR $4,600
There are an assortment of cheap quarterbacks on this slate, but Tyrod is my favorite on Draftkings. He gives you a solid floor with his rushing upside and he gets a good matchup against the 21st ranked pass defense DVOA in the Rams.
Others to consider: Jarrett Stidham (DEN) $4,800
Fanduel
Jarrett Stidham (DEN) vs. LAC $6,100
Stop me if you’re heard this one before. The team decides to bench their starter for finical reasons with the intentions to move on from him in the offseason, then, in steps the backup QB and he goes on to have the game of his life. Yeah, it was 2022 and Jarrett Stidham was stepping in for Derek Carr for the Raiders and he went out and had 365 yards and 3 TDs versus one of the best defenses in the league, the 49ers.
Can history repeat itself? Probably not, but it’s a fun narrative and he’s the cheapest of the cheap QBs on Fanduel.
Others to consider: Tyrod Taylor (NYG) $6,700
Running Back
DraftKings
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC) vs. CIN $5,300
With Jerick McKinnon already on IR and Isaiah Pacheco’s status in doubt with a concussion, CEH becomes the default chalk running back on the slate. The Bengals rank 28th in rush defense DVOA on the season and CEH has at least four targets in his last three games played.
Others to consider: Zamir White (LV) $5,100
Fanduel
Zamir White (LV) @ IND $6,100
Josh Jacobs is listed as doubtful, opening the door once again for Zamir White to start in a great matchup. It’s obvious the Raiders don’t trust QB Aidan O’Connell to pass much, leading to what should be a huge workload for White against the 24th ranked rush defense DVOA in the Raiders.
Others to consider: Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC) $6,500
Wide Receiver
DraftKings
Quentin Johnston (LAC) @ DEN $3,700
To be honest, I don’t love this call, but when you have the combination of a cheap price and a “who else are they going to throw to” situation, then why not? Keenan Allen and Josh Palmer are already ruled out, and despite his modest output, QJ has been getting targets. The Broncos have thrown in the towel on the season and rank 26th in pass defense DVOA, so I ask again, why not?
Others to consider: Cedric Wilson (MIA) $3,600
Fanduel
Zay Flowers (BAL) @ MIA $6,300
Coming off a 13 target game versus the 49ers, Flowers has become Lamar Jackson‘s go-to receiver with Mark Andrews still out of the lineup. Flowers practiced on Friday and despite being listed as questionable, should be able to play. The Miami defense is much better than people give them credit for, but at Flowers’ relatively cheap price he is worth plugging into your lineups this weekend.
Others to consider: Demario Douglas (NE) $6,100
Tight End
DraftKings
Juwan Johnson (NO) @ TB $3,400
The Bucs give up the 5th most points to the tight end position and coming off one of his best games of the season, Johnson should easily pay off his $3,400 salary.
Fanduel
Chig Okonkwo (TEN) @ HOU $5,400
Only two teams allow more points to tight ends than the Texans (Bengals and Broncos), and Chig is coming off a game where he caught his first touchdown since Week 1 on six targets. Look for him to continue that success this week in a good matchup.
Defense
DraftKings
New England Patriots @ BUF $2,300
The Patriots defense has not scored fewer than five DraftKings points since Week 6, and this week they get the walking turnover that is Josh Allen.
Others to consider: Denver Broncos vs. LAC $2,900
Fanduel
Denver Broncos vs. LAC $3,700
I was tempted to just write a single name, Easton Stick, and leave no other explanation, but my editors would probably complain. So I will give you three names, Easton Stick at QB, no Keenan Allen, and no Josh Palmer. That. Is. All.
Others to consider: New England Patriots @ BUF $3,200
