It’s my last NBA article of 2023, and I’m finishing the year on a heater (we’re going for a sixth-straight double win tonight on DK and FD).
There are only four games tonight, so ownerships will condense more than usual.
The Dallas news is everything, as Luka Doncic is questionable. Keep an eye on his status, and for the purpose of this article we’ll assume him out. If he’s ruled in, he’s far and away the top play on the slate and is actually underpriced.
Good luck, and see you in 2024!

NBA DraftKings & FanDuel DFS Primer:
Top Play
Tyrese Haliburton (G – IND) | $9,900 DK/$10,900 FD
Tyrese Haliburton is fairly priced on FanDuel and is a screaming value on DraftKings. He was in a slump for a while there (for him), but during the last three games, he’s averaged over 63 DK PPG and logged 45 assists. The Knicks are on the second night of a back-to-back and have fallen all the way to 20th in overall defensive efficiency. He should not be under 10k under any circumstances, so take advantage.
Cash Picks
Tobias Harris (F – PHI) | $7,200 DK/$7,700 FD
Tobias Harris has really stepped up in Joel Embiid’s absence, with four straight games of 22 points or more and a DK average of 48 points in that span. He’ll get a much better individual matchup than Tyrese Maxey in this one (who should have Alex Caruso on him), and Harris is a pretty good bet for 35 minutes or more.
Tim Hardaway (G – DAL) | $6,700 DK/$6,600 FD
If Doncic plays, Tim Hardaway is still a good play as second-in-command in a pace game. If Doncic sits, Hardaway is a near must-start with over a 6% usage boost. He’s taken 86 shots over the last five games, and Golden State has allowed the third-most 3PA in the league. Beware of the blowout risk for GPP if Doncic sits, but Hardaway is perfectly fine for a cash floor.
Value Plays
Isaiah Hartenstein (C – NYK) | $5,800 DK/$6,500 FD
Overnight, Isaiah Hartenstein will go from one of the toughest interior defenses (Orlando) to one of the easiest (Indiana). His 25 minutes last night should be considered an anomaly, as Hartenstein had logged 30 or more minutes in seven straight games prior to this. Mitchell Robinson is out for the season, and Jericho Sims remains out of the lineup. Indiana ranks first in pace and 24th in rebounding rate.
Brandin Podziemski (G – GSW) | $5,700 DK/$6,500 FD
Brandin Podziemski has been quite a find for the Golden State Warriors, taking over a starting role and putting up some very useful DFS lines. If we discount last game’s “dud” against the tough Heat defense, “Podz” crossed the 43-point DK threshold two games ago and gets a great matchup tonight. Dallas is tied for sixth in pace and ranks 21st in defensive efficiency. Podz’s minutes have also been safe in blowout scenarios (which is a possibility if Doncic sits).
