Monday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Domantas Sabonis, Scottie Barnes, Gordon Hayward (12/11)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/11)

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles

With 16 double-doubles in 20 games, this line remains a regular in this column. Sabonis is averaging 18.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game for the Kings this season and is reaffirming his place as one of the top big men in the league. Now more visible on an impressive Kings team, Sabonis is no longer a well-kept secret. Tonight, he will square off against a Brooklyn Nets team surrendering 13.93 rebounds per game to the center position. This one has all the ingredients for another double double. Dap the More on Domantas for Monday night.

Pick: More

Scottie Barnes (G/F – TOR): 20.5 points

Scottie Barnes appears to have shaken whatever was causing his mini-scoring slump, scoring 23 or more points in three of his last four. The total today is set on the edge of value at 20.5, but Scottie will be facing a New York Knicks team he dropped 29 points on just three games ago. He’s averaging just 19.8 on the season, but head-to-head data coupled with an average of 20.8 points per game allowed to the small forward position makes this a More play. Bump the More on Barnes for tonight’s game against the Knicks.

Pick: More

Gordon Hayward (G/F – CHA): 16.5 points

Hayward has scored 17 or more points in three straight games, doing his part to help make up the slack left by the absence of star guard LaMelo Ball. He has scored 22 or more in three of those four. He should have another strong game tonight despite a tougher opponent in the Miami Heat. Miami allows the 10th fewest points per game to the small forward position at 20.18 per game but still offer up an attackable number due to Hayward needing just 17 points. Tap the More on Hayward for tonight’s return to NBA action.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
