Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books. Hopefully, your team pulled out the victory. However, the only easy win was last week’s win. So, let’s look at the top streaming quarterback options for Week 14.
All the quarterbacks in this article are rostered in under 50% of ESPN 1QB leagues and under 25% in superflex leagues.

Streaming Targets in 1QB Leagues
Matthew Stafford (LAR) vs. Baltimore Ravens (31.9% Rostered)
We have seen a completely different-looking Stafford over the past two weeks. The veteran quarterback averaged 251.1 passing yards, one touchdown and 13.5 fantasy points per game over the first 11 weeks, totaling fewer than 14.5 fantasy points in all but two contests. By comparison, the former No. 1 overall pick has averaged 254 passing yards, 3.5 touchdowns and 23.2 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks, scoring 23 or more in both matchups. Furthermore, he has only one interception over the past two games after totaling nine over the first nine contests.
The Ravens have been the top team at slowing down quarterbacks this season. They’ve given up only 10.2 fantasy points per game to the position, the fewest in the NFL. However, Baltimore’s defense hasn’t been lights out lately. Over their past three games, the Ravens have surrendered 1.3 passing touchdowns and 16.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, giving up 16.2 or more twice. Stafford has been outstanding with Kyren Williams, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua on the field together. Hopefully, he can have a solid performance against Baltimore.
Gardner Minshew (IND) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (10.5% Rostered)
Last week, Minshew was one of my favorite streaming options. He had an appealing fantasy matchup against the Tennessee Titans and produced. The veteran quarterback completed 61.9% of his pass attempts for 312 yards and two touchdowns, scoring 18.7 fantasy points in the overtime win. After a couple of poor performances heading into the bye week, Minshew has played well lately. He has scored 14.6 or more fantasy points in four of the past six games, averaging 1.5 passing touchdowns and 0.8 rushing scores in those four matchups.
More importantly, the Colts will need to lean on the passing attack moving forward with running back Jonathan Taylor out of the lineup because of a thumb injury. Meanwhile, the Bengals surrendered 16.8 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the first 12 weeks this year, the 12th-most in the NFL. However, they have struggled to slow down quarterbacks lately. Cincinnati gave up 19.8 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks from Week 9 through Week 12. While he won’t have a massive performance, Minshew can put up 16 fantasy points on Sunday.
Streaming Targets in Superflex Leagues
Desmond Ridder (ATL) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3.2% Rostered)
While Ridder has struggled on the field, the second-year quarterback has been a solid option for fantasy players in superflex leagues. Despite missing a game and a half in two others, the former Cincinnati star is still the QB24 for the year. Last week, he had only 8.8 fantasy points against an elite New York Jets defense. However, Ridder protected the ball, totaling zero turnovers for only the third time this season as the starting quarterback. More importantly, he has an appealing fantasy football matchup in Week 14.
Tampa Bay gave up only 7.1 fantasy points to Bryce Young last week. However, the rookie is part of the worst offense in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers had surrendered 18.8 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, the fourth-most in the NFL before the matchup against Young. Quarterbacks not named Young or Will Levis have scored 26.7 or more fantasy points in three consecutive games against the Buccaneers. More importantly, Ridder had 250 passing yards and 13.8 fantasy points in the Week 7 matchup against Tampa Bay despite having three fumbles.
Joe Flacco (CLE) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (2.5% Rostered)
Fantasy players shouldn’t be too aggressive when spending their free-agent acquisition budget on Flacco. The veteran quarterback got the start last week for a concussed Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Cleveland hasn’t named a starter at the time of writing, but I’m assuming Flacco will start again in Week 14. The former Baltimore Ravens quarterback had 254 passing yards, two touchdowns and 16.2 fantasy points in his season debut despite losing receiver Amari Cooper to a concussion after only 32% of the snaps.
Hopefully, the star wide receiver will clear the protocol and play on Sunday. Regardless, Flacco is an appealing QB2 in superflex leagues if he gets another start. The Jaguars had given up 18.4 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the first 12 weeks this year, the sixth-most in the NFL. Before facing Jake Browning last night, Jacksonville had surrendered 254.7 passing yards, 2.3 touchdowns, and 22.4 fantasy points per game in their three matchups since the bye week despite facing Will Levis during that span.
Streamer to Avoid
Mitch Trubisky (PIT) vs. New England Patriots (0.1% Rostered)
Typically, streaming articles tell you which players to target off the waiver wire. However, I will give one quarterback each week that you should avoid.
Kenny Pickett won’t play Thursday night after having ankle surgery earlier this week. While you never want to see a player get hurt, the injury opens the door for Trubisky. The former No. 2 overall pick came off the bench in the embarrassing loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He completed 64.7% of his pass attempts for 117 yards, one touchdown and 7.2 fantasy points. Despite playing less than half of the snaps, Trubisky outscored multiple starting quarterbacks in Week 12, including Bryce Young, who played the entire game.
However, fantasy players should NOT add the veteran quarterback off the waiver wire. The Steelers haven’t ruled Pickett out past this week. Furthermore, Pittsburgh’s upcoming schedule is unfriendly to quarterbacks. Thursday night, Trubisky faces a Patriots defense that has held quarterbacks to fewer than 10.3 in three consecutive games, including Justin Herbert last week. Then, he takes on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. They have held quarterbacks to only 10 fantasy points per game over their past four contests. Leave Trubisky on the waiver wire.
