Ja’Marr Chase (shoulder) expected to be sidelined Week 16
Cincinnati Bengals superstar WR Ja’Marr Chase is expected to be sidelined for “some time” after receiving an MRI on his shoulder on Monday. His separated shoulder is expected to hold him out in Week 16 and maybe longer.

Fantasy Impact

It seems likely that Chase will be unavailable in Week 16, making it his first missed game of the season. Chase currently has 93 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns, playing with a hobbled Joe Burrow and backup QB Jake Browning. If Chase returns this season, he will likely be less than 100%, so for fantasy managers in the playoffs, another option will likely need to be turned toward for the stretch run. Tee Higgins should continue to see a significant target share, and WR Tyler Boyd enters Flex conversations, as he always delivers during the absences of either Chase or Higgins.

Will Levis dealing with high ankle sprain, timeline unclear
Tennessee Titans rookie QB Will Levis was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain via an MRI on Monday, calling his availability into question.

Fantasy Impact

High ankle sprains can take multiple weeks to recover from, and with the Titans eliminated from the playoffs, there’s not a lot of incentive to rush your rookie quarterback back to the field. While Tennessee would certainly like more time to evaluate him, he’s certainly bough himself another year of playing time. In dynasty leagues, Levis is a solid player to hold in superflex formats, but for playoff re-draft teams, Ryan Tannehill re-enters as an unexciting QB2 candidate if you’re desperate, as he will be auditioning for a starting gig next year for someone other than Tennessee.

C.J. Stroud remains in concussion protocol
Texans’ coach DeMeco Ryans said that C.J. Stroud remains in the concussion protocol.

Fantasy Impact

“We’ll see how he progresses throughout the week,” Ryans said. Case Keenum led Houston to a comeback overtime win over the Titans in his absence this past weekend.
