Monday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Alperen Sengun, Tyrese Maxey, Nikola Jokic (11/6)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/6)

Alperen Sengun (C – HOU): 16.5 points

Alperen is averaging 18.4 points per game on the season. He has 19 or more in three of his five games, including a span of three straight. He scored just 15 points against Sacramento but made zero trips to the line in an 18 point victory. If he looks for his own shot more or if the Kings are more competitive, Sengun will score at least the 17 points needed for the More to hit. He touches the ball enough to score 20+ per night, so it is only a matter of when, not if, Sengun becomes consistent enough that these 16.5 lines become ancient history. Slap the More on Sengun for Monday night.

Pick: More

Tyrese Maxey (G – PHI): 21.5 points

Set right on the edge of where value lies; the matchup is what puts this line over the top with a high enough probability to be included in today’s column. Maxey is averaging 26.2 points per game on the season, making the 21.5 an interesting total at first glance. However, after a hot start to the season, Maxey has cooled a bit, scoring just 18 against the Toronto Raptors last Thursday and 22 against Phoenix on Saturday. 20 points per game is still solid, but won’t get it done as far as hitting the More. However, Maxey gets the defensive-deficient Washington Wizards, who have the worst scoring defense in the NBA, on Monday night. Barring a disastrous showing from the field, Maxey should push for 30 points. Mash the More on Maxey.

Pick: More

Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): 0.5 double doubles

Jokic is averaging 12.7 rebounds per game on the season. The Joker has recorded a double in every game this season while recording a triple double twice. Set at an 11.5 rebound total, the multiplier here is criminally low (1.05). It should be closer to 1.18-1.22, but there is still a semblance of value in an environment where you are required to make two or more More or Less selections. Jokic recorded a double double in 58 of 69 games last season and in each game this season. This will not click every night, but with a New Orleans Pelicans team on tap that allows a league-high 51.5 rebounds per game (with 28.4 to opposing frontcourts), this is an easy key for Monday night.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
