Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books. Hopefully, your team pulled out the victory. However, the only easy win was last week’s win. So, let’s look at the top streaming quarterback options for Week 10.
All the quarterbacks in this article are rostered in under 50% of ESPN 1QB leagues and under 25% in superflex leagues.

Streaming Targets in 1QB Leagues
Baker Mayfield (QB – TB) vs. Tennessee Titans (44.3% Rostered)
The veteran quarterback has played well this season, averaging 1.5 passing touchdowns and 16.4 fantasy points per game. Outside of the matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions, Mayfield has been outstanding, scoring at least 16 fantasy points in every contest. Over the past three weeks, the former Oklahoma star has averaged 259 passing yards, 1.7 touchdowns, and 18.9 fantasy points per game. He has back-to-back games with at least 235 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 19 fantasy points. More importantly, Mayfield has a fantasy-friendly matchup this week.
Tennessee held Kenny Pickett to only 160 passing yards, one touchdown, and 10.3 fantasy points in Week 9. However, the second-year quarterback has struggled, scoring more than 12.4 fantasy points only twice this year. Meanwhile, the Titans had surrendered 15.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks before last week’s matchup. Furthermore, they have allowed quarterbacks to have 289 or more passing yards in nearly half the games. Mayfield hasn’t had more than 275 passing yards since Week 2. He will have at least 280 against Tennessee.
Derek Carr (QB – NO) vs. Minnesota Vikings (34.6% Rostered)
Carr has been one of my favorite streaming options over the past few weeks. Last week, the veteran quarterback completed 73.5% of his pass attempts for 211 yards, two touchdowns, and 16.7 fantasy points. The former Fresno State star averaged 8.2 fantasy points per game over the first four weeks, scoring more than 8.5 fantasy points only once. However, Carr has scored at least 15.7 fantasy points in five consecutive games, averaging 16.9 fantasy points per game. The veteran had two passing touchdowns in 60% of those matchups.
Fantasy players should expect the former Fresno State star to keep up his recent hot play in Week 10. The Vikings have won five of their past six games and have turned their season around. Minnesota’s defense has played better lately. Yet, they are still an appealing fantasy matchup for opposing quarterbacks, giving up 16.6 fantasy points per game. Last week, Taylor Heinicke had 268 passing yards, a touchdown, and 14.7 fantasy points against the Vikings despite missing Drake London. Carr and the Saints are clicking offensively and should keep that going on Sunday.
Streaming Targets in Superflex Leagues
Joshua Dobbs (QB – MIN) vs. New Orleans Saints (16.6% Rostered)
While Dobbs wasn’t officially named the Week 10 starter right after the win over the Atlanta Falcons, the veteran quarterback will start against the Saints. Dobbs got traded to Minnesota on Tuesday. Yet, he came off the bench after Jaren Hall suffered a concussion and led the Vikings to a 31-28 comeback victory. The veteran had two passing touchdowns, a rushing score, and 24.9 fantasy points in the game. Dobbs has been a productive streaming option, averaging 15.6 fantasy points per game in eight contests as the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback, scoring 22.9 or more fantasy points in three matchups, including Week 8.
Meanwhile, Tyson Bagent scored 15.8 fantasy points against the Saints last week despite four turnovers. The rookie had 220 passing yards, two touchdowns, and 70 rushing yards in the loss. New Orleans has given up 1.7 passing touchdowns and 16.2 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past three weeks. Dobbs has the weapons to move the ball in the passing game and can rack up fantasy points with his legs. Don’t be surprised if he has another three-touchdown performance in his first career start with the Vikings.
Taylor Heinicke (QB – ATL) vs. Arizona Cardinals (4.4% Rostered)
Last week, Heinicke made his first start of the year, totaling 268 passing yards, one touchdown, and 14.7 fantasy points against the Vikings without Drake London. Hopefully, the second-year star wide receiver will play in Week 10. Meanwhile, the veteran quarterback played well after replacing Desmond Ridder in Week 8, totaling 175 passing yards, one touchdown, and 12.4 fantasy points while playing only 54% of the snaps. More importantly, Heinicke has an excellent fantasy football matchup this weekend.
The Cardinals got obliterated by the Cleveland Browns last week, losing 27-0. Deshaun Watson returned after missing 3.5 of the past four games with a shoulder injury. The veteran quarterback completed 63.3% of his pass attempts for 219 yards, two touchdowns, and 19 fantasy points. Unfortunately, that’s nothing new for Arizona. The Cardinals have surrendered 1.6 passing touchdowns and 18.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, one of the highest averages in the NFL. While he likely won’t score 18 fantasy points, Heinicke should have his best performance of the year.
Streamer to Avoid
Gardner Minshew (QB – IND) vs. New England Patriots (11.7% Rostered)
Typically, streaming articles tell you which players to target off the waiver wire. However, I will give one quarterback each week that you should avoid.
Minshew was my streamer to avoid in Week 9. Hopefully, fantasy players listened, as the veteran quarterback had only 127 passing yards, one touchdown, and 9.6 fantasy points. While he had four total touchdowns and 27.1 fantasy points a few weeks ago against the Cleveland Browns, Minshew has struggled the rest of the year. Outside the matchup against the Browns, the veteran quarterback has averaged one passing touchdown and 10.8 fantasy points per game in the six contests he played at least 67% of the snaps.
More importantly, the Colts travel to Germany to face a Patriots defense that has limited quarterbacks this season. Last week, Sam Howell had 325 passing yards and 17.7 fantasy points against New England. However, it took him 45 pass attempts, and the second-year player had only one passing touchdown. Meanwhile, the Patriots have held quarterbacks not named Josh Allen or Tua Tagovailoa to only one passing touchdown and 13.3 fantasy points per game. While there are three superstar quarterbacks on a bye in Week 10, fantasy players should do everything possible to avoid streaming Minshew.
