Fantasy Football Forecast: Waiver Wire & Trade Advice for Week 10 (2023)

Welcome back, fantasy football enthusiasts! We’ve wrapped up NFL Week 9, and it’s time to recap all the action as we gear up for Week 10. We’ve got a fresh edition of the 2023 usage report with some exciting changes. This new format aims to deliver the key action items you need as fantasy managers. In the fast-paced world of 2023, we understand that concise and actionable insights are what you crave. So, let’s dive in.

As always, we’ll analyze the data and what we saw on the field during the previous week’s matchups. We’ll focus on what truly matters and identify potential noise. Our goal is to simplify your fantasy football decisions with actionable advice. In the words of my college marketing professor, “Keep it simple, stupid” (the KISS mantra). Let’s get started.

Waiver Wire Advice: We’ll highlight players who have seen significant changes in their roles and usage. If I don’t mention a player, it’s likely because their situation hasn’t changed. We want to focus on players with rising or falling stock.

For those new to the usage report, our focus is on identifying players who are running routes, seeing high snap shares, and getting valuable targets. These factors often translate to future fantasy production and might not always be evident in the box score.

So, without further ado, let’s roll out the red carpet for the 2023 Usage Report for Week 9, setting the stage for success in Week 10. Our report will include waiver wire pickups and buy low/sell high trade targets.

Let’s get ready for Week 10 because there’s more action coming our way, even as we navigate the challenges of bye weeks. To catch some overarching data points, check out my Twitter thread for important insights from Week 9’s action.

Along with the snap counts that we can use to forecast future performances.

Fantasy Football Forecast

Pittsburgh Steelers

Sell Najee Harris, Buy Jaylen Warren, Hold George Pickens.

The Steelers rushing game was effective on Thursday night football against a stout Titans run defense, with Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris leading the way. They combined for 27 attempts, 157 yards, and one touchdown.

Warren had 11 attempts, 88 yards, 8.0 avg, 0 TD, 22 long. Harris had 16 attempts, 69 yards, 4.3 avg, 1 TD, 25 long. Warren also had a productive day as a receiver, catching all 3 of his targets for 25 yards. Harris totaled 2 receptions on 4 targets.

The snaps remained a split with a slight lean toward Najee at 58% to Warren’s 40%. The fact that Warren has looked great is awesome, but Harris isn’t playing badly enough to lose his grip as the starter. Still, I’d rather roster Warren with the chance he does carve out a larger role or if Najee suffers an injury. Warren is priced $100 more than Harris in Week 10 on DraftKings ($5,000 vs $4,900).

That also makes Harris a sell after he has scored for the second time in his last 3 games.

Harris still holds the main red-zone role in the Steelers backfield, with 4 red-zone carries to Warren’s zero.

Diontae Johnson was the standout receiver with 7 receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown (9 targets, 31% Target share). He FINALLY scored a TD and our anytime TD hit on Thursday night football. YLTSI.

He has a 26% Target share through four games averaging 5-plus catches per game.

George Pickens ended with just 2 receptions on 5 targets for -1 yards (17% Target share). Came close to scoring but was ruled out of bounds (2 red-zone targets). He remains tough to trust with Johnson the alpha target earner in the offense. He’s a hold until he pops off another big game/TD.

The Steelers schedule: Packers, Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Patriots and Colts

Tennessee Titans

Sell/Hold Derrick Henry, Add Tyjae Spears, Add Will Levis

Derrick Henry led the team’s rushing attack with 17 attempts, gaining 75 yards and scoring one touchdown. Also added in 4 targets.

Tyjae Spears was targeted 6 times (15% Target share) catching 4 for 4 yards. Rushed 5 times for 18 yards. Also out-snapped Henry with a 59% snap share to Henry’s 49% snap share, with Spears running more routes as the primary back in passing situations.

Don’t love the next two road matchups for the Titans run game, but then they are home free from Week 12 onward. CAR, IND, MIA, HOU. 3 games at home. Although Seattle Week 16 might be tough even though it’s also at home. The FantasyPros SOS tool likes the schedule a ton for Henry, as it ranks top-3 tied with New England and Atlanta.

Will Levis completed 22 of 39 pass attempts for 262 yards. However, he faced substantial pressure, getting sacked four times, and threw one interception.

Kyle Philips was the leading receiver, with 4 receptions for 68 yards (5 targets). However, a lot of yardage came on a broken downfield play, and Philips also ranked 5th in routes/snaps played among the WRs. Although his high target rate shouldn’t go unnoticed (22% target rate per route run).

DeAndre Hopkins also had a solid game, catching 4 passes for 60 yards (28% Target share, 11 targets). If you didn’t sell after the 3 TD game last week, you are likely stuck with Hopkins. Luckily his overall outlook is better with Levis under center versus Ryan Tannehill, so he’s a hold. Their decent schedule coming up for the clear-cut No. 1 WR for the Titans.

Treylon Burks saw 3 targets and 61 air yards but also left the game with a concussion.

The Buccaneers, Jaguars, and Panthers over the next 3 games for the Titans. 2 more road games. Still, overall it’s a favorable schedule for QBs.

Miami Dolphins

Sell Raheem Mostert, Buy Jaylen Waddle, Drop Jeff Wilson Jr.

Raheem Mostert carried the ball 12 times for 85 yards and scored one touchdown. The team totaled 117 rushing yards. No other Miami RB saw more than 3 carries (Salvon Ahmed). Although it needs to be noted for a second straight game, Mostert was a zero in the passing game (1 target). Jeff Wilson Jr. commanded four targets, and Ahmed earned 3. And unlike a week ago, Mostert ran fewer routes than Ahmed. He played 56% of the snaps for the second straight game.

Miami is showing that they want to use a committee and I don’t think it will work favorably for Mostert when De’Von Achane returns likely after the Week 10 bye week. Sell. Head coach Mike McDaniel said he has had zero setbacks and will be back for Week 11.

Tyreek Hill was a significant target for Tagovailoa, receiving 10 targets and catching 8 passes for 62 yards. 29% Target share. Jaylen Waddle contributed with 3 receptions for 42 yards on 6 targets (29% target rate per route run, nearly 100 air yards). Cedrick Wilson played more because of the injury to Waddle early on in the game. He’s a rare WR handcuff for Waddle/Hill.

Waddle’s a buy after a down game because his per-route efficiency was still fantastic. Should be able to get closer to 100% healthy coming after the bye week. Waddle also had a 17-yard game wiped off the board by a penalty.

Miami has a Bye Week, Las Vegas, New York (Jets), Commanders, Titans, Jets (again) and Cowboys in the next 7 weeks.

With the Dolphins on bye, you can drop Wilson who is not even the clear handcuff behind Mostert at this point with Ahmed sprinkling in and Achane slated to return.

Also might be wise to get out of the Tua Tagovailoa business. No team has a more difficult remaining schedule for fantasy QBs than the Dolphins.

Kansas City Chiefs

Hold Rashee Rice, Buy Isiah Pacheco

Isiah Pacheco carried the ball 16 times for 66 yards (68% snap share) and dominated the route share. CEH was out, and the other Chiefs RBs combined for two carries. The team gained a total of 93 rushing yards with Patrick Mahomes also chipping in ground yardage.

Noah Gray and Skyy Moore were notable receivers for the Chiefs. Gray caught all 3 of his targets for 34 yards (team-high), while Moore contributed with 2 receptions for 33 yards. However, Moore only played 25% of the snaps and ran 10 routes.

The Chiefs had a balanced passing attack, with multiple players involved. Justin Watson led the Chiefs with 5 targets.

Rashee Rice scored while running a route on 60% of dropbacks – same as last week. Only two targets but usage remained the best among Chief WRs with another season-high in snaps (68%). Hold through the bye week.

Travis Kelce only saw 4 targets, catching 3 for 14 yards. Fewest targets in a game since 2021…

Next 7 Weeks: Bye Week, PHI, LV, GB, BUF, NE and LV(again).

Minnesota Vikings

Add Joshua Dobbs, Ty Chandler, Buy Alexander Mattison

Alexander Mattison had 16 carries for 44 yards playing a 56% snap share, while Cam Akers contributed with 8 carries for 25 yards. Akers left the game with an ankle injury, that was later reported as a potential torn Achilles. The guy can’t catch a break.

Josh Dobbs completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 158 yards, with two touchdown passes and no interceptions. Also carried the ball 7 times for 66 yards and scored one touchdown in the win coming in for the injured Jaren Hall. He got traded on Tuesday…

And although I don’t talk about QBs specifically in this article, I want to highlight the accomplishments by Dobbs. The fact that he did what he did – and what he has done up to this point – is astonishing. If I needed a QB for this week and beyond, I’d add him. Dobbs ranks second in rushing yards and fifth in passing air yards among QBs. The Saints cannot stop mobile QBs as indicated by Tyson Bagent‘s elite rushing in Week 9. With Justin Jefferson back in the fold sooner rather than later, Dobbs could be a fantasy football cheat code. And he’s FREE on all waiver wires. $5,500 on DraftKings in Week 10.

T.J. Hockenson was the most targeted player, with 7 receptions for 69 yards (12 targets, 33%). Jordan Addison had 5 receptions for 52 yards (7 targets, 19%), and Mattison contributed with 2 receptions for 49 yards, including a touchdown.

Trishton Johnson played more due to an injury suffered by K.J. Osborn.

Expect Hockenson to continue to be peppered with targets based on Dobbs’ extremely high Target share to tight ends in this game and with Arizona earlier this season.

Minnesota takes on New Orleans, followed by the Broncos, Bears, Raiders, and Bengals.

The Vikings have one of the most favorable schedules for fantasy RBs over the rest of the season. Add Ty Chandler off waivers. And consider buying low on Mattison with the backfield all but his now that Akers is out of the way.

Atlanta Falcons

Buy Bijan Robinson, Add Jonnu Smith

The Falcons had a combined effort in the running game. Bijan Robinson carried the ball 11 times for 51 yards, while Tyler Allgeier had 12 carries for 39 yards and scored one touchdown (4 red-zone carries). Robinson also saw 4 targets to Allgeier’s 3.

The majority of Allgeier’s production came in the second half. He was sitting in the negative yardage in the first half. He had 3 carries for -4 yards to Robinson’s 6 for 19.

Jonnu Smith was the top target for Taylor Heinicke, with 6 receptions for 100 yards, including one 60-yard catch-and-run touchdown (6 targets). KhaDarel Hodge contributed 3 receptions for 60 yards, and tight end Kyle Pitts had 4 receptions for 56 yards (5 targets). Hodge totaled 135 air yards and was the leader in routes run. Mack Hollins got banged up as did Cordarrelle Patterson.

If Drake London is out another week, Hodge will be my highest-ranked Falcons WR in Week 10.

The Cardinals are up next for Atlanta, followed by a bye week, then the Saints, Jets and Buccaneers. The playoff schedule remains JUICY with Carolina, Indianapolis and the Bears Weeks 15-17.

And with the ELITE matchup versus Arizona, you have to buy low on Bijan Robinson. Still was the first-half carry leader and ran a route on 57% of dropbacks. Team went away from him later on because he fumbled. However, he still logged a 61% snap share and continued to see some work in the fourth quarter before Allgeier took over and ran the ball 7 straight times before punching in his TD.

Routes, targets, snaps and matchup are all there for Bijan in Week 10. He’s $6,000 on DraftKings in Week 10.

The Falcons boast a top-3-most favorable schedule for RBs from Week 10 onward.

Seattle Seahawks

Sell Kenneth Walker, Buy DK Metcalf, Add Zach Charbonnet, Hold/Buy Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Sell Tyler Lockett

Ken Walker had 6 carries to Zach Charbonnet‘s 4 in the first half (2 in the red zone). Walker would carry the ball three times in the second half for a grand total of 19 yards. Walker had 2 targets to the rookie’s 1. And for the second straight game…Charbonnet out-snapped Walker because he ran more routes (55% vs 49%).

To make matters worse for Walker, Seattle has a bottom-6 schedule ranking for the rest of the season for fantasy RBs.

The passing game was led by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who caught 6 passes for 63 yards (7 targets, 28%). Route participation remained strong with him running a route on 88% of dropbacks. Bump from last week (66%). Hold/buy with the schedule easing up.

Tyler Lockett saw 7 of his 8 targets (32%) in the first half but was not efficient, 3 for 32. Lockett’s getting a solid Target share but his efficiency marks are showing signs of decline.

DK Metcalf caught one pass for 50 yards (4 targets, 2 red-zone targets). Still want to buy low on Metcalf.

This was a tougher matchup versus a fierce Ravens defense. The Commanders are next, followed by the Rams, 49ers, Cowboys and 49ers again. Buy.

He is on the cusp of an eruption game. Seattle has a top-4 WR strength of schedule for the rest of the season.

Through 8 healthy games this year, Metcalf still leads the Seahawks in receiving yards. Also has seen 8-plus targets in three of his last 5 games.

Baltimore Ravens

Buy Zay Flowers, Add Keaton Mitchell, Sell Gus Edwards

Rookie running back Keaton Mitchell led the way with 138 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries, while Lamar Jackson and Gus Edwards also contributed with their rushing abilities.

In the first half, Mitchell, Edwards and Justice Hill all had 4 carries, so Mitchell’s numbers are not just garbage time related. Edwards ended with just 5 carries but converted both his red-zone attempts into TDs. Hill totaled 13 on the day, but most of that came late in the fourth quarter. 3 in the red zone late.

Hill played the most snaps and ran the most routes, but that’s because he was playing LATE with the backups.

There’s a chance that Mitchell might be carving out a larger role in this offense, so add him off waivers. And the fact that this backfield could turn into a three-headed monster wants me to sell high on Gus Edwards. The Browns are a brutal matchup in Week 10.

Odell Beckham Jr. made an impact in the receiving game with 56 yards and a touchdown (21% Target share, 7 targets, 2 red-zone targets). Tight end Mark Andrews was Lamar’s favorite target, catching 9 passes for 80 yards (30% Target share, 10 targets).

Zay Flowers only had 1 target despite leading the team in routes run. I’ll chalk it up to being a non-competitive game where they wanted to get OBJ the ball on his birthday. Buy low on the talented rookie after his worst game of the season. No worries in any capacity. The Ravens have a top-4 WR strength of schedule for the rest of season.

Rashod Bateman saw 5 targets catching 3 for 28 yards. However, he also tallied 108 air yards (40%). He’s trending in the right direction as he has gotten noticeably healthier. Still, OBJ is running more routes and is getting the more favorable red-zone looks making him the better stop-gap fantasy option.

The Browns are the next followed by Cincy, the Chargers, Bye Week, Rams and Jaguars.

Arizona Cardinals

Add Trey McBride, Hold/Buy Marquise Brown, Buy James Conner

If only they had Josh Dobbs. Disaster game overall with Clayton Tune at QB. Tune had a tough day, completing 11 of 20 passes for a mere 58 yards. The passing game “featured” Marquise Brown as the leading receiver, with 4 receptions for 24 yards (8 targets, 40% Target share). No. 1 in weighted opportunity in Week 9.

He needs Kyler Murray back or else he’s going to be tough to trust with Tune under center. Luckily, Kyler Murray will start this week versus the Falcons per head coach, Jonathan Gannon.

Keontay Ingram, couldn’t find much success, gaining only 8 yards on 9 carries (42% snap share). James Conner can come back from IR. Might be worth buying him low, with the potential for him to come back to an improved offense with Murray at the helm.

Trey McBride had 1 target and 1 catch for 12 yards in the first half. Ended with 3 for 22 on 5 targets (25% Target share). Ran a route on 63% of dropbacks while playing 69% of the snaps. Still showed strong target usage and he has a much better matchup versus the Falcons in Week 10. No doubt he gets dropped after the dud. Take advantage. He’s $3,500 on DraftKings in Week 10.

The Cardinals face Atlanta, Houston, Rams and Steelers in the next 4 games. Overall their strength of schedule ranks No.1 for QBs.

Cleveland Browns

Add David Njoku, Drop Elijah Moore, Sell Kareem Hunt, Buy/Hold Jerome Ford

Amari Cooper was the standout receiver, racking up an impressive 139 yards with 5 receptions, including a 59-yard touchdown (17% Target share). David Njoku also contributed to the passing game, scoring a touchdown on one of his 6 targets (20% Target share, 2 red-zone targets). Best game with Deshaun Watson under center to this point.

Jerome Ford started and led with 20 attempts for 44 yards – 9 carries in the fourth quarter – while seeing heavy usage as a receiver. 23% Target share on a team-high 7 targets. 5 targets in the first half. 2 red-zone carries.

Kareem Hunt: 14 attempts, 38 yards, 2.7 average and 1 touchdown, as he tends to see the most RZ work. 3 red-zone carries.

Through the first half, each guy had 6 carries. Pierre Strong also had 3 carries in the first half.

Hunt ended with only a 29% snap share to Ford’s 64% snap share.

Ford’s success rate continues to be abysmal – dead last in the NFL – but his takeover as a highly involved receiver is encouraging for his fantasy value.

Considering touches/targets/snaps are more predictable and sticky week over week, I’d likely be a buyer/holder of Ford while looking to sell HIGH on Hunt and his recent TD production of 5 scores in the last four games. Also, the Browns lost starting tackle Jedrick Wills to an MCL injury that will sideline him several games.

Cedric Tillman stepped right into the vacated role by Donovan Peoples-Jones, playing 74% of the snaps while running a route on 74% of the dropbacks. Only 1 target but encouraging for the rookie to see a high snap share in his first real action. Somebody to monitor or stash in deeper formats. Because Elijah Moore just isn’t happening this season. And Marquise Goodwin looks slated to miss next week with a concussion.

Schedule: BAL, PIT, DEN, LAR and JAC.

Los Angeles Rams

Buy Puka Nacua, Drop Darrell Henderson/Royce Freeman

Their running game struggled, with Royce Freeman and Darrell Henderson failing to break free for significant yardage.

In the first half, Henderson led the Rams backfield with 10 carries for 19 yards. Royce Freeman had 18 yards on 5 carries. Henderson had zero second-half carries (just 2 targets). While Freeman saw all 7.

Kyren William can return as early as Week 12 versus the Cardinals. Therefore you can safely drop Henderson/Freeman during the bye week. Sean McVay expects him to be on track for Week 12.

Cooper Kupp had 1 target. Puka with 4 targets. 8 pass attempts. 3 completions. In the first half. Woof.

Kupp and Nacaua would finish with 7 targets each (26% Target share), as did Tutu Artwell. Brett Rypien also had a tough outing, completing just 13 of 28 passes for 130 yards. Kupp was the primary target, but he could only secure 2 receptions for 48 yards.

Kupp’s targets have been solid in back-to-back weeks, but the efficiency has been waning dramatically.

Let’s get Matthew Stafford healthy, please.

Therefore, all Rams are buy lows, specifically with Nacua who can be acquired at a cheaper cost than Kupp. Just a strong bet on an uber-talented rookie WR. He also technically saw a team-high 8 targets in Week 9 due to penalties. Also owns a 32% Target share on the year.

The Rams get a bye week then Seattle. Then it’s Arizona, Seattle (again), Baltimore and Washington.

Green Bay Packers

Buy Aaron Jones, Add Romeo Doubs, Buy/Hold Christian Watson

The ground game was led by Aaron Jones, who had 20 attempts for 73 yards and found the end zone with one touchdown. Think he’s finally fully healthy setting season highs across the board. Jones led the team with 6 targets catching four for 26 yards. 6 red-zone carries. 57% snap share. And the Packers won. He’s truly the engine for this offense.

Feel good about calling him a buy-low last week. He’s $6,500 on DraftKings in Week 10 versus the Steelers.

A.J. Dillon ended with 9 carries for 40 yards on just 40% of the snaps.

The top receiver for the Packers was Luke Musgrave, who caught 3 passes for 51 yards and scored a touchdown (4 targets). Other than that, it was the status quo with a flat target rate across the board.

Although Jayden Reed played well less than he normally does and was out-targeted by Dontayvion Wicks.

Christian Watson was the air yards leader but only drew 2 targets. Also suffered an injury during the game. Watson continues to draw air yards but to no avail. If he plays next week, hard to argue with the potential blow-up spot he’s against a beatable Steelers secondary. Romeo Doubs would be my highest-ranked Packers WR if Watson can’t go next week.

Nobody wants Watson or anything to do with the Packers at this point. But the usage is there to still acquire a WR with a week-winning upside. Buy low and then flip after the massive game comes.

The Steelers, Chargers, Lions, Chiefs, Giants and Buccaneers are next for the GB Packers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Add Cade Otton, Buy Chris Godwin, Sell/Hold Mike Evans

Rachaad White was the workhorse, carrying the ball 20 times (7 red-zone carries) for 73 yards and finding the end zone twice. Added four receptions for 46 yards. 80% snap share. After a slow start, White is starting to HEAT up. His receiving usage has picked up.

Cade Otton was targeted nine times (30%), securing six receptions for 70 yards and scoring two touchdowns (three red-zone targets). He plays all the snaps every single week. You could worse at tight end.

Mike Evans, known for his big-play ability, made the most of his 5 targets, contributing with four receptions for 87 yards. Chris Godwin finished with just 2 catches for 16 yards despite 7 targets (two in the RZ). Would buy low after a very strange game from Godwin. However would still like to sell Evans because I do think he is going to start to run cold in the TD department. But if you can’t get anything worthwhile, h’s a hold with the plus-matchups coming up.

The Buccaneers defense is a mess right now, and that is forcing more passing for Tampa.

The Titans, 49ers and Colts are ALL on the docket for the next 3 games for Tampa Bay.

Houston Texans

Hold Devin Singletary, Sell Nico Collins, Add Tank Dell, Dalton Schultz, Noah Brown

Quarterback C.J. Stroud delivered a record-breaking rookie performance, completing 30 of 42 passes for 470 yards and five touchdowns. He demonstrated accuracy and poise in the pocket, leading the Texans to victory. Assassin.

Everybody went NUCLEAR.

Noah Brown was a standout, securing all six of his targets for 153 yards and one touchdown. Back-to-back strong games. Add him off waivers for an offense that is hitting its stride. Totaled 8 targets with penalties included.

Have to imagine Robert Woods won’t be getting back to his starting role anytime soon.

Dalton Schultz also had a strong performance with 10 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown (11 targets, 26%). 3 more red-zone targets including one that was drop in the end zone. He owns a full-time role and faces a Bengals defense next week that can’t cover tight ends. Add him and start him.

Tank Dell was exceptional, catching six passes for 114 yards and scoring two touchdowns (11 targets, 26%). Dell was targeted a team-high 7 times in the first half. Totaled 222 air yards for a 53% air yards share. 5th overall in weighted opportunity for Week 9. Led the team in routes run as he traditionally has done when healthy.

Nico Collins added another touchdown reception (3 for 54), contributing to the Texans’ success (12% Target share, 2 red-zone targets). Totaled 8 targets with penalties included.

I’ve flip-flopped on Collins/Dell seemingly every week, even though I liked BOTH as buys last week. Hit.

However, the fact that it’s close between the two players, but Dell’s a rookie has me lean toward him ROS. Fill disclosure that I like both guys, but if I could sell Collins after his TD score despite low targets, I’d do so. And buy Dell after his massive game.

The rushing game, led by Devin Singletary, struggled to find significant yardage. 13 for 26 yards. Singletary also caught two passes. This team can’t really run the ball, so it’s not clear that Dameon Pierce as the RB1 will add a ton of value when he returns. I’d hold Singletary as he still operated a as true bell cow with a 75% snap share and earned 15 of 16 RB touches.

Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona and Jacksonville over the next 3 games. Should be fun.

Washington Commanders

Add Antonio Gibson, Add Jahan Dotson, Sell Brian Robinson

Brian Robinson led the team in carries with 18 and covered 63 yards, averaging 3.5 yards per carry. He found the end zone once but also lost a fumble. Robinson had 2 targets and caught 1 pass for 4 yards.

Antonio Gibson contributed 34 yards on 6 carries, displaying his explosiveness and ability to pick up significant yardage. Gibson was targeted 5 times and made 5 receptions for 42 yards. He ran four more routes than Robinson (22 vs 18). Second straight game with 5 targets and 5 catches.

I like Gibson’s upside with his three-down skill set but there’s nothing from this game that suggests BRob has lost the starting job in any capacity. But because the talent gap is non-existent, I’d be looking to sell high on Robinson after his best game with a tough matchup on deck versus Seattle.

Terry McLaurin was a primary target, securing 5 receptions for 73 yards. His ability to stretch the field and make crucial receptions played a pivotal role in the team’s passing game.

Jahan Dotson had a productive outing, amassing 69 yards on 4 receptions, including a beautiful touchdown score on a team-high 8 targets (18% Target share). 6 targets in the first half. Since the Curtis Samuel injury, Dotson has strung together back-to-back strong outings. 8-plus targets in three straight games.

Jamison Crowder received 6 targets and made 4 receptions for 23 yards.

Logan Thomas was targeted 6 times and had 4 receptions for 31 yards.

The Seahawks, Giants and Cowboys are over the next three weeks.

New England Patriots

Hold/Buy Rhamondre Stevenson, Add Demario Douglas

Rhamondre Stevenson was the star of the rushing attack, breaking off several big runs and finishing with 87 yards on just nine carries. 4 for 72 in the first half. Played 62% of the snaps.

Mondre also added four catches for 42 yards on 6 targets while running a route on 61% of dropbacks. Ezekiel Elliott carried the all 6 times and caught three passes on 5 targets. Elliott played 39% of the snaps.

The Patriots boats the No.1-most favorable schedule for RBs from Week 10 onward.

Demario Douglas emerged as a primary target for Mac Jones, securing five receptions for 55 yards. Led all WRs in routes run. Additionally, JuJu Smith-Schuster had a productive outing with six receptions for 51 yards. Each earned 7 targets (16%). Earned a 37% target rate per route run.

Great matchup for both WRs versus the Colts’ leaky secondary in Week 10.

Hunter Henry also earned 7 targets and scored. 4 for 39 yards.

Jalen Reagor saw 6 targets. Caught 1 pass. No wonder they lost. I have to imagine his snaps decrease after he finished second in routes run. Horrific performance.

The Pats get Indy (Germany) next. After their bye week, it’s the Giants, Chargers, Steelers and Chiefs.

Chicago Bears

Buy D.J. Moore, Sell/Hold D’Onta Foreman

D’Onta Foreman had 10 carries for 42 yards in the first half alone as the lead back (59% snap share). Totaled 20 carries (4 red-zone carries) for 83 yards while Roschon Johnson was barely used. 2 carries for 6 yards and 2 targets (one erased by penalty) on a 29% snap share. He ran the most routes but Darrynton Evans also saw 2 targets. Evans also came in before RJ.

This backfield remains a total mess, and I’d get out sooner rather than later. Khalil Herbert can return this week and has been designated to return from the IR.

But the Week 10 matchup is great for Foreman, who at least projects to get the most work on the ground. Could be serviceable for another week if Herbert does not return. But did not invest long-term in this backfield. Bottom-6 schedule ranking for the rest of the season for fantasy RBs.

Darnell Mooney was targeted 6 times, making 5 receptions for 82 yards.

Cole Kmet had 8 targets and secured 6 receptions for 55 yards and two red-zone touchdowns (27% Target share).

D.J. Moore received 5 targets and caught 3 passes for 44 yards. Lead in routes run. I like him as a buy-low target ahead of some easier matchups and the return of his starting QB, Justin Fields.

The Panthers (TNF) Lions and Vikings are the next 3 matchups for Chicago before a Week 13 bye week.

New Orleans Saints

Sell Alvin Kamara, Sell Chris Olave, Add Taysom Hill, Drop Michael Thomas

Chris Olave was targeted 8 times, made 6 receptions for 46 yards, and scored a touchdown (24% Target share). Sell high. He had one red-zone target in a game where Michael Thomas saw one target. That won’t be as one-sided going forward.

Alvin Kamara received 5 targets and caught 4 passes for 44 yards. Only had 9 carries for 26 yards (4 in the first half). Lowest touch number since returning from suspension (49% snap share). Also just 2 red-zone carries.

Jamaal Williams had 3 targets and caught 2 passes for 6 yards. 3 carries.

Taysom Hill was targeted 5 times (twice in the red zone), making 4 receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown. Also led the team in rushing with 11 carries for 52 yards. Leading rusher in the first half. Threw a TD. Does. It. All. And he remains a focal point in the red zone. 6 red-zone carries.

As I noted last week, I think selling Kamara is still the move to make. The snaps continue to dip as the Saints get more guys like Hill, Williams and Kendre Miller more involved. The heavy involvement from other RBs/Hill around the goal line also concerns me long-term, and that was apparent this past week.

The Saints schedule is also brutal for RBs over the rest of the season. Bottom-6 ranking for the rest of the season.

Juwan Johnson received 5 targets (2 red zone targets) and caught 5 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. Ran a route on a near 70% of the dropbacks. Don’t feel comfortable betting on him to find the end zone every week with so many other Saints players drawing red-zone usage.

Michael Thomas. One target. Forgot it wasn’t Halloween. With Johnson back, Thomas’ red-zone role might be nuked.

The Vikings, Bye Week, Falcons and Lions over the next month.

Indianapolis Colts

Hold Jonathan Taylor, Buy Michael Pittman Jr.

Jonathan Taylor had 18 rushing attempts, gaining 47 yards at an average of 2.6 yards per carry. Taylor had 5 targets, catching all 5 passes for 22 yards and a touchdown. Zack Moss totaled 7 carries for 26 yards and was not targeted (just three routes run). Moss had 6 carries in the first half and drew 2 red-zone carries. JT had one red-zone carry, but it came at the 1-yard line. He got stuffed for a loss. Next play they took a 5-yard penalty.

Still an overall positive development for JT who saw his snaps increase again to 74% and out-touch Moss 23 to 7.

Michael Pittman received 8 targets and made 8 receptions for 64 yards (31% Target share). Josh Downs exited with a knee injury and no other Colts player saw more than 3 targets.

Pittman is going to drown in targets if Downs misses any more time.

Indianapolis takes on New England (Germany) next week, followed by a bye week, the Buccaneers, Titans, Bengals and Steelers. The Colts have a top-4 WR strength of schedule for the rest of the season.

Carolina Panthers

Sell Chuba Hubbard

Chuba Hubbard out-touched Miles Sanders 10 versus 1 in the first half. Hubbard led the rushing attack overall with 16 carries, accumulating 58 yards at an average of 3.6 yards per carry. Sanders contributed with 6 carries for 39 yards, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. Almost exclusively worked in the second half with 5 targets to Hubbard’s six targets.

The fact that Sanders looked better in the second half as a rusher has me concerned, we might see more of a split moving forward. It was a near-touch split in the second half which is hard to tell from the box score alone.

On the first drive, it was Hubbard with an attempt followed by Sanders with an attempt that was erased due to a penalty. Hubbard also fumbled on a reception.

The Panthers also have a bottom-6 schedule ranking for the rest of the season for fantasy RBs. The Bears are an elite run-stuffing unit.

Hayden Hurst received 4 targets and made 2 receptions for 54 yards. Saw fewer targets than Stephen Sullivan. Also played fewer snaps than Tommy Tremble,

Adam Thielen had 6 targets, securing 5 receptions for 29 yards (15% Target share). The sell window looks shut.

D.J. Chark received 3 targets and secured 2 receptions for 9 yards and a touchdown. But the snaps were way down from previous weeks, with him splitting more routes with Terrace Marshall.

Jonathan Mingo received 4 targets but made 1 reception for 5 yards. Somebody needs to stop me from playing this dude in DFS. Runs all the routes and does nothing with them. Super inconsistent.

Bryce Young also threw two pick-sixes. Woof.

Chicago (TNF), Dallas and Tennessee in the 3 following weeks.

New York Giants

Buy Saquon Barkley

Daniel Jones left with an injury, and it’s reported to be a torn ACL.

In relief, Tommy DeVito went 15 of 20 for 175 yards and 1 TD plus two interceptions after playing from the second quarter onward.

With DeVito at QB, the targets were as follows

  • Saquon Barkley – 2 (added 16 carries for 90 yards overall) – He’s the offense (75% snap share) and is going to get fed to unhealthy amounts of volume. If you are dying at RB, no better buy low than Barkley.
  • Darius Slayton – 5 (also led in routes run)
  • Jalin Hyatt – 3 (a lot of downfield looks) – 151 total air yards.
  • Wan’Dale Robinson – 4 (scored a TD late)
  • Daniel Bellinger – 2 (played 86% of the snaps)
  • Matt Breida – 2

Versus Dallas, you cannot find anybody worth playing for fantasy football I am afraid.

Dallas (woof), Commanders and Patriots over the next 3 weeks before a bye week.

Las Vegas Raiders

Buy Davante Adams, Sell Josh Jacobs

Josh Jacobs had 18 carries in the first half alone with 86 yards and 2 TDs…

Ended the game with 26 carries for 98 yards. Zero targets with LV protecting a massive lead.

Davante Adams had 1 first-half target…finishing with 7 total (28% Target share). But only 4 catches for 34 yards and 0 TDs. Still ran a route on 96% of dropbacks. Adams still had all the great peripherals you want from a WR, so I’d be looking to buy low on the talented No. 1 WR.

Jakobi Meyers was 2nd with 5 targets including a rushing TD.

Tre Tucker and Hunter Renfrow each saw 3 targets with the tight ends barely involved. They also saw limited snap/routes run roles.

The Jets, Dolphins, Chiefs, bye week and Vikings are up next for LV in their next 5 weeks.

Dallas Cowboys

Buy Tony Pollard, Drop Michael Gallup, Add Jalen Tolbert, Sell/Hold CeeDee Lamb

CeeDee Lamb had 7 targets in the first half. Jake Ferguson caught all four for 62 yards and 1 TD in the first half.

Lamb was the primary target, receiving 16 targets (36% Target share) and catching 11 passes for a WHOPPING 191 yards. He’s on a heater right now as the focal point of the offense. The only concern is that Dallas’ upcoming schedule features games that will be heavy favorites in between NYG, CAR and WAS – where Lamb may fall victim to weird game flows like he did earlier in the year. If you can sell high on his two-week eruption, I think you can get a king’s ransom in return.

Ferguson received 10 targets and caught 7 passes for 91 yards, including a touchdown (23% Target share).

Jalen Tolbert caught 3 passes on 5 targets for 49 yards, with a touchdown. His increase in usage came at the expense of Michael Gallup. Drop Gallup.

Tony Pollard led the rushing attack with 12 carries for 51 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. Pollard received 5 targets and caught 3 passes for 12 yards. 77% snap share.

And do not be fooled by the TD-less box score. Pollard SCORED. But it was called back due to an illegal formation penalty from the 2-yard line. Next play Dallas threw a TD.

The schedule is there for the taking for Pollard to finish the season on a strong note. Buy low before the window slams shut. Pollard is the RB7 in expected fantasy points per game this season.

He is $7,300 on DraftKings in Week 10 versus the Giants which ranks 28th in run defense DVOA.

Michael Gallup and Brandin Cooks were afterthoughts. Gallup had 3 targets, catching 2 passes for 19 yards. Cooks had 2 targets, catching 1 pass for 7 yards. Although the routes were heavily favored toward Cooks over Gallup (42 vs 26).

The Giants, Panthers, Commanders and Seahawks are the next four games for Dallas.

Philadelphia Eagles

Buy DeVonta Smith, D’Andre Swift

D’Andre Swift led with 9 carries in the first half. Swift was the lead rusher overall, ending the day with 18 carries for 43 yards, averaging 2.4 yards per carry. Swift received 2 targets and caught both passes for 31 yards. 5 red-zone carries. 65% snap share.

Kenneth Gainwell contributed 3 carries for 22 yards, averaging 7.3 yards per carry, and also scored a rushing touchdown (1 Target, 2 red-zone carries). 37% snap share.

Rashaad Penny had 2 carries for 8 yards (no Boston Scott).

A.J. Brown had 5 targets, and nobody else had more than 2 (Dallas Goedert) in the first half. Brown was the leading receiver with 9 targets (39% Target share), catching 7 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.

DeVonta Smith received 3 targets and caught all 3 passes for 51 yards, including a touchdown.

Goedert had 4 targets, catching 3 passes for 50 yards (hurt toward the end of the game). Goedert is set to miss time and is an injured reserve candidate after suffering a fracture in his forearm.

We saw last year that the Goedert injury fueled Smith to a fantasy WR1 overall finish. Rinse and repeat folks. Buy Smith while he is on the bye week and get a fantasy WR1 for the remainder of the season.

Philly has a bye Week, KC, Buffalo, SF and Dallas in their next five weeks. Shootouts as far as the eyes can see.

Cincinnati Bengals

Avoid Irv Smith Jr., Buy Ja’Marr Chase

Joe Mixon led the rushing attack with 14 carries for 37 yards, averaging 2.6 yards per carry, and he scored a rushing touchdown. Mixon, apart from his contributions in the rushing game, was targeted 6 times and caught 5 passes for 31 yards while playing 73% of the snaps.

Trayveon Williams had 3 carries for 13 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. 19% snap share.

Joe Burrow had an impressive day passing the ball, completing 31 out of 44 passes for 348 yards. He didn’t throw any interceptions and had a passer rating of 108.9. Burrow threw 2 touchdown passes, which were crucial for the Bengals’ success.

Tee Higgins led the receiving corps with 9 targets (two red-zone) and caught 8 passes for 110 yards (21% Target share, 33% air yard share).

Tyler Boyd received 5 targets, catching 3 passes for 56 yards.

Tight end Tanner Hudson also received 5 targets and caught 4 passes for 45 yards.

Ja’Marr Chase had 8 targets (two red-zone targets), catching 4 passes for 41 yards (19% Target share). Did get banged up during the game, which may have reflected in his subpar outing. Buy low. He ranks second behind only Tyreek Hill in expected fantasy points per game this season.

Drew Sample received 4 targets and caught 3 passes for 30 yards, including a touchdown. Irv Smith received 4 targets and caught 3 passes for 26 yards, including a touchdown. Smith saw 3 red-zone targets including the TD score. However, he still played fewer snaps than Drew Sample and ran a route on fewer than 50% of the dropbacks. Avoid him on waivers.

The Texans and Ravens over the next two weeks, then Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Indianapolis and Minnesota.

Buffalo Bills

Buy James Cook, Sell Gabe Davis, Add Khalil Shakir Add Leonard Fournette

Josh Allen, the Bills’ quarterback, contributed significantly to the rushing game. He had 8 carries for 44 yards and scored a rushing touchdown.

James Cook had 6 carries for 20 yards, averaging 3.3 yards per carry. Latavius Murray carried the ball twice for a total of 4 yards. Cook received 4 targets (13%) and caught all 4 passes for 19 yards. Murray received 1 target and caught 1 pass for 6 yards. Backfield snap share was more split than in previous weeks with Cook earning 55% to Murray’s 45% snap share.

Leonard Fournette was not activated for this game. Cook is still a buy-low target for me. Over the last three weeks, Cook has out-touched Murray 41 to 15. And the Broncos’ exploitable run defense is up next.

Stefon Diggs received 7 targets (22%) and made 6 receptions for 86 yards, scoring a touchdown.

Dalton Kincaid was targeted 11 times (34% Target share), making 10 receptions for 81 yards. He played 90% of the snaps and ran a route on 97% of dropbacks. This is ELITE tight-end usage, that you don’t ever see. Tight ends don’t ever lead their teams in routes run.

In Week 7, Kincaid ran a route on 63% of the dropbacks while playing 61% of the snaps. In Week 8, he ran a route on 85% of the dropbacks while playing 84% of the snaps.

Wheels ARE up for the rookie tight end.

Khalil Shakir received 4 targets and caught all 4 passes for 57 yards. Maintained grip as fantasy WR3 with a 71% snap share.

Trent Sherfield received 2 targets and made 1 reception for 9 yards. Operated as WR4.

There was one target for Deonte Harty and two for Gabe Davis (6% Target share), but they didn’t record any receptions.

I was worried about Davis’ setup as the No. 2 in the offense and that came to fruition with guys like Shakir and Kincaid starting to surge. Kincaid has a superior Target share in the last three weeks. Kincaid has a superior target rate per route run.

The Broncos are the Bills’ next matchup followed by the Jets, Eagles, Bye Week, Chiefs, Cowboys and Chargers.

Los Angeles Chargers

Add Quentin Johnston, Sell Keenan Allen

Austin Ekeler totaled 14 carries, 47 yards, 2 touchdowns, with his longest run coming at 20 yards. Joshua Kelley only had 3 carries, 18 yards, with a longest run of 12 yards. Ekeler also controlled 7 targets (25% Target share) but only was able to muster 2 receptions, 23 yards through the air. Kelley had 1 target. 67% vs 34% snap shares.

WR/TE notes:

  • Keenan Allen: 9 targets (32%) 8 receptions, 77 yards, average 9.6 yards, 0 touchdowns, longest reception 23 yards.
  • Gerald Everett: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 18 yards, average 9.0 yards, 0 touchdowns, longest reception 17 yards. 59% route participation and 55% snap share.
  • Quentin Johnston: 3 targets (11% Target share), 2 receptions, 14 yards, average 7.0 yards, 0 touchdowns, longest reception 10 yards with 50 air yards. Played 83% of the snaps and he led the team in route participation (95%) with Joshua Palmer out of the lineup. Potentially a buy-low target next week versus the Lions on DraftKings at $4,100.
  • Darius Davis: 1 target, 1 reception – but also returned a punt for a TD. Ran only 4 routes.
  • Donald Parham: 2 targets, 0 receptions, 0 yards. 55% snap share. Saw another end-zone target in Week 9.
  • Jalen Guyton: 2 targets, 0 receptions in his first game action of the season. Operated as the WR3 running a route on 73% of dropbacks.

DET, GB and BAL are the next 3 games for the Bolts, followed by the Broncos, Raiders, Bills and Broncos (again). It’s a tough fantasy schedule for both QBs and WRs.

New York Jets

Buy Breece Hall, Garrett Wilson

Breece Hall finished with 16 carries for 50 yards while Dalvin Cook only had 2 carries for 7 yards. Michael Carter earned 6 targets, 6 receptions for 24 yards. Hall went with 4 targets, 4 receptions, 10 yards. Cook also saw 2 targets. But it looks like Cook is firmly the RB3 on this roster.

And more importantly, Hall dominated the overall snaps at 60% and ran the most routes (43%). However, the increased looks in the passing game for Carter are not great for Hall’s prospects.

Garrett Wilson commanded 13 targets hauling in 7 receptions for 80 yards (27% Target share). Xavier Gipson: 2 targets, 2 receptions, 32 yards as the clear-cut WR3 on the offense. Allen Lazard: 6 targets, 2 receptions, 18 yards. Woof.

Tyler Conklin earned 6 targets, 6 receptions and 66 yards (13% Target share, 2 targets inside the 10-yard line). Dominated the routes (65%) but still in a TE committee with C.J. Uzomah: 5 targets, 2 receptions, 11 yards

The Jets’ schedule over the second half of the season is JUICY. Raiders, Bills, and Dolphins are up next followed by Falcons, Texans and Dolphins (again). Buy low on Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson.

Wilson ranks second in the NFL in weighted opportunity behind only A.J. Brown. 4th in Target share and 3rd in air yards share.

Teams coming off Week 9 Bye Weeks

Denver Broncos

Buy Javonte Williams, Jerry Jeudy, Sell Courtland Sutton, Add Greg Dulcich

Javonte Williams toted the rock 10 times in the first half to McLaughlin’s 2 back in Week 8.

He ended the day with 27 carries for 85 yards. 30 total touches. 9 red-zone touches.

Juggernaut Javonte is BACK.

Additionally, McLaughlin contributed with 4 carries for 33 yards. Williams WAS effective as a receiver out of the backfield, catching all 3 of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown. McLaughlin saw two targets and Samaje Perine earned 3.

Williams finished with a 63% snap share. Trending WAY up after leading the Broncos in routes run (tied with Perine).

Jerry Jeudy was one of the primary targets in the passing game in Week 8. He had 6 targets, catching 2 passes for 50 yards, including a 39-yard touchdown reception. 31.6% Target share on 6 targets. Was on the receiving end of a total of 126 air yards. No. 1 in weighted opportunity in Week 8.

Sharp buy-low target off the bye week. He leads the team with a 23% Target share and 45% air yards share in his healthy games played this season.

Courtland Sutton, another key receiving option, had 3 targets, catching 2 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. 3 targets. Sutton is running hotter than the sun with these weekly TD scores. It won’t last.

Marvin Mims got up to a 39% snap share with Brandon Johnson placed on IR. Big W. But still ran fewer routes than Lil’Jordan Humphrey. He’s on bye this week so he can dropped in smaller leagues, tentatively, – at least until we get through the trade deadline. Unfortunately, the Broncos did not move any of their WRs so Mims is stuck unless we see his usage change post-bye week. Worth a stash versus a bad Bills defense to see how things shake out in Week 10.

Denver gets BUF and MIN in the next two games, followed by Cleveland, Houston, Los Angeles Chargers and Lions.

Greg Dulcich could return from IR soon, so add him in TE premium formats. The Broncos have a top-5 schedule for fantasy TEs for the rest of the season.

Detroit Lions

Sell/Hold Jahmyr Gibbs, Add Jameson Williams, Buy David Montgomery, Jared Goff

Jahmyr Gibbs had 26 rushing attempts for 152 yards with an average of 5.8 yards per carry and 1 touchdown, with a long run of 27 yards in Week 8. Gibbs was also targeted 5 times (15% Target share) and caught 5 passes for 37 yards with an average of 7.4 yards per catch. 70% snap share as a clear-cut workhorse with David Montgomery sidelined. 3 red-zone carries.

Monty is expected to return after the Lions’ Week 9 bye week.

Like I said last week, this would be the prime time to SELL HIGH on Gibbs. Because this team still loves Montgomery.

Craig Reynolds had 14 rushing attempts for 74 yards with an average of 5.3 yards per carry and no touchdowns, with a long run of 13 yards. Played just 28% of the snaps and saw just 2 carries in the first half. Did have a touchdown nullified on a holding penalty in the fourth quarter. Also saw 3 red-zone carries.

Amon-Ra St. Brown was targeted 9 times (26% Target share) and caught 6 passes for 108 yards with an average of 18 yards per catch and no touchdowns, with a long reception of 44 yards.

Sam LaPorta was targeted 10 times (29% Target share, 3 red-zone targets) and caught 8 passes for 57 yards with an average of 7.1 yards per catch and 1 touchdown, with a long reception of 18 yards. 92% route participation. The rookie can’t be ranked high enough.

Kalif Raymond was targeted 4 times (2 red-zone targets) and caught 2 passes for 24 yards with an average of 12 yards per catch and no touchdowns.

Jameson Williams was targeted 3 times and caught 2 passes for 16 yards with an average of 8 yards per catch and no touchdowns, with a long reception of 22 yards. Just 23 total air yards. Woof. Ran the same amount of routes as Raymond (37% route participation). Just a 40% snap share.

Not sure he’s worth going after too aggressively after the bye week. He is still splitting routes as the No. 3 WR with Raymond, even though his routes/snaps did increase from the week before. But the addition of Donovan Peoples-Jones creates more hurdles for the former first-rounder to get over.

Josh Reynolds was targeted 1 time and caught 1 pass for 13 yards. Still was second on the team in routes and snaps among WRs behind the Sun God.

The Chargers, Bears (oh my), Packers, Saints, Bears, Broncos, Vikings and Cowboys are following up for the Lions post-bye week. It’s a great schedule overall for the Lions offense. It’s a top-5 rest-of-season schedule for QBs.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Buy Christian Kirk, Sell Calvin Ridley, Add Zay Jones

The rushing attack was primarily led by league-winner Travis Etienne, who carried the ball 24 times for 79 yards in Week 8. He left the game briefly with an injury (gulp) but returned just in time. Etienne also contributed in the passing game, catching 3 passes for 70 yards (6 targets), including a 56-yard touchdown reception. 89% snap share despite battling an injury. Absolute ANIMAL. Crown him.

The top receiving targets for the Jaguars were Evan Engram and Calvin Ridley. Engram caught all 10 of his targets for 88 yards, showcasing his reliability. Ridley secured 6 receptions for 83 yards, making several key plays. Each saw 10 targets, and 31% Target share. Ridley also continued to see high downfield looks with a 60% air yards share.

Christian Kirk saw just 5 targets. 4 for 46. Still ran a full allotment of routes. As always is the move with the Jaguars, you buy low after down games. The same is said with Calvin Ridley after he posted a strong output, leading the team in routes run and air yards.

But if you can’t get anything worthwhile, both guys are holds with favorable matchups post-bye week.

Jaguars top target shares through 9 weeks: Engram (23%), Kirk (22%), Ridley (22%) and Zay Jones (17%).

Don’t forget about Jones if he is chilling on your waiver wire…

The 49ers, Titans, Texans, Bengals, Browns and Ravens over the next 6 weeks.

San Francisco 49ers

Sell George Kittle, Buy Brandon Aiyuk

Christian McCaffrey carried the ball 12 times for 54 yards and scored a touchdown in Week 8. CMC also played a dual role, recording 6 receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown.

George Kittle operated as the primary target without Deebo Samuel, with 9 receptions for 149 yards. He averaged an impressive 16.6 yards per catch. 35.5% Target share. Same old song dance folks. You sell Kittle after these blow-up games that are cultivated based on teammate injuries. Considering the bye week, expect Samuel to be back sooner rather than later. He is already back at practice.

Brandon Aiyuk contributed 5 receptions for 109 yards, averaging 21.8 yards per catch. 29% Target share. Dude is a straight alpha WR and it doesn’t matter when Samuel comes back.

Buy him. 29% Target share and league-leading 49% air yards share this season. No. 4 overall in total weighted opportunity.

The Jaguars, Buccaneers and Seahawks round out the next three weeks for the 49ers, followed by the Eagles, Seahawks (again) and Cardinals. It’s a top-5 rest-of-season schedule for QBs and WRs for the rest of the season per the FantasyPros Strength of Schedule tool.
