Week 10 of the NFL season brought us a little bit of everything. With fantasy football trade deadlines nearing, now is when the contenders and pretenders in our leagues come into full focus. In dynasty formats, some will push their chips into the center, trying to win now, while others will sell away assets and head toward a rebuild.
Values change regularly in this game, and this week was no exception. Here’s a look at who’s trending up and down in dynasty.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers
Risers
Sam Howell (QB – WAS)
After airing it out 44 times on Sunday, Sam Howell finished with 29 completions for 312 yards and three touchdown passes. It’s the third game in a row Howell has topped 300 passing yards, and his fourth time doing so this season, tying him for the league lead. Through the last three weeks, Howell has tossed eight touchdowns and limited his interception total to just two, an issue that plagued him earlier in the season. Howell is averaging nearly 40 pass attempts per game and has proven he’s capable of putting up big numbers. If he can continue to limit the turnovers, he will remain in the QB1 category.
Devin Singletary (RB – HOU)
The former Buffalo Bill took advantage of Dameon Pierce‘s absence on Sunday to the tune of 150 rushing yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. He added a reception for 11 yards to bring his fantasy point total to 23.1 on the day, the highest mark by a Texans running back all season. Pierce has struggled mightily, leading to more touches for Singletary in the last few weeks. He now has an opportunity to take on a more significant role after this performance and perhaps prove that the offensive line isn’t the primary issue with the Texans’ running game.
Ty Chandler (RB – MIN)
Alexander Mattison left the contest with a concussion in the second half, but Ty Chandler was seeing significant snaps before Mattison’s exit. Chandler carried the ball five times in the first half while Mattison saw four, and Chandler was able to find the endzone in the second quarter before finishing the game with 15 carries for 45 yards. Mattison has been inefficient for most of the season and with Chandler’s first-half usage, it’s likely that he continues to have a role in the offense when Mattison returns.
Trey McBride (TE – ARI)
Kyler Murray returned to action in Week 10 and took full advantage of his new weapon, Trey McBride. Murray fed the second-year tight end nine targets and McBride reeled in eight of them for 131 yards, the third most receiving yards from a tight end this season. McBride has cleared 20 fantasy points in two of the last three games and is second to only T.J. Hockenson in tight end scoring over the last five weeks.
Dak Prescott (QB – DAL)
After making the fallers list in Week 5, Dak Prescott turned things around and has been on a heater ever since. He’s played four games in that stretch and has topped 24 points in each game while topping 300 yards in the last three games. He’s thrown for 11 touchdowns in the last three weeks and added another score on the ground this week. He and CeeDee Lamb are showing more chemistry than ever before, but Prescott also brought Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup, and Jake Ferguson along with him this week. Look out if he can continue to make the most of those options.
Fallers
Roschon Johnson (RB – CHI)
It’s not as if expectations were sky high for the fourth-round rookie entering the season, but many were optimistic he would carve out a large role in the offense, if not take the starting job. A concussion in Week 5 didn’t help matters, but he returned three weeks ago with Khalil Herbert still on Injured Reserve (IR) and hasn’t been able to leapfrog D’Onta Foreman in the pecking order. He has not surpassed six carries in a game over the last three weeks, nor has he cleared 21 rushing yards. The good news is that he’s being utilized in the passing game and caught four passes on Sunday, but it’s not enough to yield any real fantasy value.
David Montgomery (RB – DET)
David Montgomery rushed 12 times for 116 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, so why does he make the fallers list? Jahmyr Gibbs, that’s why. A 75-yard touchdown run largely aided Montgomery’s performance. It was Gibbs, however, who finished with more snaps, carries and targets. Gibbs rushed 14 times for 77 yards and two scores. The rookie added three grabs for 35 yards and saw goal-line work in the process. Montgomery will still be a big factor in this run-heavy offense, but he needs the goal-line work to be a reliable option.
Christian Watson (WR – GB)
After generating tons of buzz in his rookie season while playing with Aaron Rodgers, Christian Watson has crashed back down to earth in his second season. He has battled constant injuries throughout the season. Still, Watson has been held between 23 and 37 receiving yards in five of his six games this season and has failed to top three receptions in any of the six games.
Calvin Ridley (WR – JAX)
After looking like his former self to start the season, Calvin Ridley has been one of the most underwhelming players of the fantasy season. He hasn’t reached the endzone since Week 4 and has been held to 40 yards or fewer in six of nine games. It seemed inevitable that Ridley would become Trevor Lawrence‘s top option, but that honor has shifted in the direction of Christian Kirk.
