We’re quickly approaching the fantasy playoffs and small moves can make big differences right now. It can always pay to keep one eye on the future and these are players that it might be worth picking up now, ahead of the waiver wire rush midweek. All of these players are below 50% rostered on Yahoo leagues.

9 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Stashes

Will Levis (QB – TEN) – 49% Rostered

Two games into Will Levis’s NFL career and we’ve seen a top-six performance followed by the QB23 finish in Week 9. It’s fair to say we’ve seen both sides of the coin from Levis so far, but one thing we haven’t seen is his rushing upside, with only 13 yards across the two games so far. Levis does have wheels though with 179 rush attempts in his last two years in college. If Levis can establish a baseline of even 30 yards per game in the pros then he’ll likely become a top 15 or better quarterback every week.

Jordan Love (QB – GB) – 45% Rostered

After a hot start, Jordan Love hasn’t been a top-13 quarterback since Week 3, but with games against a porous Steelers secondary followed by the Chargers, it might be time for a bounceback. The Chargers allow the most passing yards per game (286) and the second-highest passing yards per attempt (7.9), along with the second most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks (20.9). It can’t be forgotten that Love is dealing with one of the youngest and most inexperienced pass-catching groups in the NFL and as the season goes on we could see them grow into their roles better, while Christian Watson finds his feet again.

Keaton Mitchell (RB – BAL) – 47% Rostered

Through nine full weeks of the NFL season, Keaton Mitchell now has delivered the 28th most yards by any running back in a single performance and he’s really only just getting going. Mitchell’s 134 yards and a touchdown on 10 touches was only the second time this season a player crossed 100 yards on 10 or fewer touches. Justice Hill has contributed to a number of fumbles credited to either him or Lamar Jackson, thanks to never really getting their exchange down on RPO plays, and sooner or later that opens up opportunities for other players like Keaton Mitchell.

Ty Chandler (RB – MIN) – 6% Rostered

With Cam Akers sadly tearing his Achilles and landing on injured reserve, it opens up another opportunity for Ty Chandler, who was picking up some hype in fantasy communities over the summer. Mattison has been woefully inefficient this season, boasting the league’s most rush attempts inside the red zone without scoring (16), and is bottom five in rushing EPA (Expected Points Added). Mattison boasts one game with an opportunity share of over 63% in the last five weeks, which is a clear indicator the Vikings wanted other players involved, and if they turn to Ty Chandler, then his current ownership is far too low.

Demario Douglas (WR – NE) – 37% Rostered

Kendrick Bourne is out for the season, DeVante Parker is dealing with concussion issues for the second week running and Kayshon Boutte still can’t find his way onto the gameday roster. Meanwhile, Demario ‘Pop’ Douglas has shone ever since being picked by the Patriots in the sixth round. The former Liberty receiver has consistently earned praise from an organization not known for doling out praise. Douglas has seen 17 targets in his last three games, averaging 9.9 PPR points in that spell, which is by no means league-winning, but the Patriot’s defense is bad and will keep putting Mac Jones in pass-heavy scripts, which sooner or later could benefit Douglas.

Rondale Moore (WR – ARI) – 8% Rostered

Over the past 31 games of Rondale Moore’s career, he’s averaged 39 receiving yards in games with Kyler Murray, compared to 22 yards in games without Murray. Now it’s very fair to point out that 39 receiving yards isn’t incredible, but given we’re expecting this Cardinals offense to take a step forward in efficiency with Murray back. If Rondale can add some touchdowns to his production, then he could find himself an option that Murray is familiar with, in pass-heavy scripts for the rest of the year.

Hunter Henry (TE – NE) – 41% Rostered

If you’re not interested in the Demario Douglas play then perhaps consider picking up Hunter Henry who has been the Patriots TE1 all season, despite the signing of Mike Gesicki. Henry saw a jump from three targets to seven in Week 9 without Kendrick Bourne in the lineup and scored his first double-digit game since Week 2, sending him up to TE9 on the week. The Patriots face a Week 11 bye after their Germany game against the Colts, but then face the Giants and the Chargers in back-to-back games which will set up nicely for Henry.

Pat Freiermuth (TE – PIT) – 36% Rostered

The last time Pat Freiermuth took the field was Week 4 against the Texans, where before leaving after playing 51% of the snaps, Freiermuth had four targets for the third time in four weeks. The Steelers have been inept on offense and the return of both Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth could give them the biggest boost possible under Matt Canada. Freiermuth will miss Week 10, but return in time for Week 11’s grudge match with the Steelers and then face the Bengals who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to the position.

Miami Dolphins – 38% Rostered

The Dolphins are currently on a bye week after facing the Chiefs in Germany, but when they take the field in Week 11, they’ll do so with both Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey for only the second time this year. Over the next five games, they’ll face the Raiders, Jets, Commanders, Titans & Jets for a second time. Outside of Sam Howell, none of those quarterbacks were expected to start games this year and all could give up plenty of points to Miami.
