Sleeper Picks NFL Week 8

Season record: 14-16

A.J. Brown (WR – PHI): 88.5 receiving yards

A.J. Brown seems to be making a 2k push of his own. Brown has racked up 127 or more receiving yards in five straight games since his heated sideline discussion with Jalen Hurts. He recorded at least six receptions and saw at least eight targets in each of those games. This week, he will get a soft Washington secondary that he already torched, so the only concern of note here is negative gamescript rearing its ugly head. If the Eagles pull out to a sizable early lead, they may choose to salt the clock with the run game, limiting the potential volume in the passing game. Recent trends suggest that Brown will eat regardless, but there is the risk as A.J.’s big games all came in competitive contests. With that said, Washington did take Philly to overtime back in Week 4 when Brown hung 175 receiving yards on them. Mash the More on Brown for Week 8.

Pick: More

George Pickens (WR – PIT): 53.5 receiving yards

George Pickens has impressed this season, especially given the extra defensive attention he received when Diontae Johnson was sidelined. Pickens is averaging an elite 83.5 receiving yards per game and has recorded 75 or more receiving yards in four of his last five. Kenny Pickett has complete trust in Pickens as his number one receiver, and the chemistry between the two should only continue to grow. Diontae Johnson returned in Week 7, and Pickens still hauled five of eight targets for 105 receiving yards. Expect this number to climb weekly. Ride with the value while it’s here.

Pick: More

Jordan Addison (WR – MIN): 57.5 receiving yards

Addison exploded in Week 7, going off with seven receptions, 123 receiving yards, and two touchdowns off of 10 targets. This was the breakout game we have all been waiting for, and the fact that it came against one of the league’s best defenses under the bright lights of Monday Night Football is even more impressive. It is safe to say that Addison has passed Kj Osborn on the target totem pole and will start to push T.J. Hockenson weekly, at least until Justin Jefferson returns. Set at just 57.5 receiving yards for Week 8, this almost feels like a trap. Instead, we will treat it as a slow-to-adjust market. Addison will see his line creep up close to 70 in the coming weeks, so take advantage of the value while you can. Tap the More on Addison for Week 8.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
