Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for this week’s NFL action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NFL more/less picks.
Sleeper Picks NFL Week 7
Season record: 14-16
Cooper Kupp (WR – LAR): 90.5 receiving yards
Cooper Kupp is listed at a fair (for him) total of just 90.5 receiving yards for Week 7. He has recorded 118 or more receiving yards in both games this season and appears to be a safe bet to do so once again. The fact that he got 21 targets in his first two games back proved that his role as the clear-cut number one is secure, and he may actually see his target share go up as we move forward. Kupp will look to feast on a Steelers secondary that has allowed at least one 90 yard receiver in four of five games this season, and that has allowed three different receivers to hit 129 or more receiving yards. Smash the More on Kupp for Week 7.
Pick: More
Tyreek Hill (WR – MIA): 96.5 receiving yards
Tyreek Hill has been on fire to start the season. He is averaging 135.7 receiving yards per game and has recorded 157 or more receiving yards in four of six games played. Tyreek is a massive part of the Dolphins’ weekly gameplan, and with Tua Tagovailoa playing at a high level, he is arguably the most challenging cover in the NFL. Tyreek has seen a healthy 19 targets over his last two games and should be heavily involved in what should be a competitive contest against the reigning NFC Champions in the Philadelphia Eagles. Tyreek will have a tough matchup against Darius Slay, but trends suggest that number one receivers can have success against the Eagles despite his presence. Four of the five number one’s the Eagles have faced this season recorded eight or more receptions and 85 or more receiving yards. And, of course, Tyreek is playing at a truly elite level. 96.5 is higher than we hoped for coming into the week, but based on the Eagles’ struggles and a steaming hot Tua to Tyreek connection, the More is still the play.
Pick: More
Keenan Allen (WR – LAC): 77.5 receiving yards
Keenan Allen has been on a roll for the Los Angeles Chargers. He has recorded 76 or more receiving yards in four of five games this season and is a good bet to do so once again against Kansas City on Sunday afternoon. Keenan has posted 78 or more receiving yards in each of his last two contests against Kansas City and has recorded 76 or more receiving yards in four of five games this season. The Chargers, who are underdogs, project to have the gamescript needed for Keenan to see a high-volume outing, especially if the rushing attack struggles to find room against Chris Jones and company. Keenan will have a tough matchup against the Chiefs secondary, but his elite ability to separate will help him get open even when he is covered. It would be a major surprise if Keenan does not hit at least 78 receiving yards in what is expected to be a shootout. Tap the More on Allen.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
