Week 3 is in the rearview mirror. Now, it’s Week 4, but it can pay to look ahead to Week 5 and beyond to consider the players on waivers you might stash. Go ahead and grab them now rather than having an all-out waiver-wire war with your fellow league mates in a few days’ time.
This column will take a look ahead each week at players rostered in less than 50% of Yahoo leagues.

NFL Week 4 Waiver Wire Stashes
Quentin Johnston (WR – LAC) – 48% Rostered
With the unfortunate Mike Williams injury, the Chargers pass-first offense needs players to step up to the plate. Given the draft capital invested in Quentin Johnston, the Chargers will be hoping he can do so sooner rather than later. Johnston has yet to play over 30% of the snaps in any game and has to surpass Josh Palmer to be really fantasy-relevant, but when we’re talking about a Justin Herbert offense, we have to consider what the ceiling scenario looks like.
Rashee Rice (WR – KC) – 33% Rostered
After the Skyy Moore fantasy hype of 2022 and the ensuing lack of production, it can be easy to feel burned by the wide receiver room in Kansas City, but Rice has been showing out well in a limited role so far, scoring double-digit PPR points in two of the three games, and standing as the PPR Rookie WR8, with more catches than Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Quentin Johnston combined. Rice leads all Kansas City wide receivers in Target Share (12.3%), Catch Rate (71%), and Yard After Catch Per Game (18.3). If there is one Chiefs WR I’d take a shot on, it’s Rashee Rice.
As a jets fan it pains me to say this but it could well be Rashee Rice week pic.twitter.com/0TT6HHWFPv
