Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Sam Howell, Quentin Johnston, Tank Dell, Derrick Henry

Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Sam Howell, Quentin Johnston, Tank Dell, Derrick Henry

Winning the trade market is at least as important as nailing the draft. Aside from the waiver wire’s massive impact in the season’s first few weeks, trading is the best way to improve your squad quickly. Great buy-low moves can set you up for victory in the short term and down the stretch. Solid sell-high deals can get you big hauls for overachieving players who likely won’t sustain their production.

Here are all players the experts are buying and selling this week. Below we dive into a few notable players. And be sure to check out our weekly trade value chart with updated values for all players.

Fantasy Football Trade Advice: Week 6

Sam Howell (QB – WAS)

“My favorite buy-low trade candidate is easily Sam Howell. In what is essentially his rookie season, Howell has struggled with turnovers, and this has hurt his fantasy production. He has thrown for 290+ yards in 3 of his 5 starts and currently sits as QB14. If he is able to develop and limit his interceptions, he could soon be a top-8 QB with a solid rushing floor to aid his productions. I would trade away Dak Prescott or Daniel Jones without a second thought to acquire Howell.”
Aaron St Denis (The League Winners)

Quentin Johnston (WR – LAC)

Quentin Johnston is coming off the bye, and with Mike Williams out for the year, he has a chance to flourish. His snap percentage went up in their last game, but it didn’t correlate into production. You can turn that into a bonus for your fantasy team before he explodes. With the rookie coming off the bye week, he will be infused into the offense.”
Joe Pepe (Beyond The Gridiron)

Tank Dell (WR – HOU)

“Unfortunately, Tank Dell likely won’t play again until Week 8 because of the concussion and bye week. However, the rookie is the perfect buy-low trade target after having back-to-back poor performances. Despite playing fewer snaps than Robert Woods, the former Houston Cougar has scored nearly twice as many half-point PPR fantasy points per game as the veteran this year. More importantly, Dell has several appealing matchups in the second half of the season, including two games against the Tennessee Titans during the fantasy playoffs. With Diontae Johnson likely returning in Week 7, now is the time to flip George Pickens for Dell and possibly something else.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN)

“This might be a stretch, but Derrick Henry has been a shell of himself this year. He has only eclipsed 100 yards rushing once and is losing touches to Tyjae Spears. He is still producing for fantasy at times but is frustrating owners with his inconsistency. Find that frustrated owner and trade for King Henry after a down week. Offer some sort of a package or combination of Joe Mixon (touches are there, but YPC is not), Jordan Addison, Rashee Rice, Jakobi Myers, or Marquis Brown.”
